Evan D. Sherden, Robs the City. (3)
“Welcome to Roizen, the city of comfort!”
“Good to see you in the city of peace with no war or monsters!”
As soon as Evan and his group entered the city, the beautiful women standing at the gate’s entrance waved at the wagon they were riding.
It was a foreign image that really didn’t match their worldview, with a leather jacket that clung to the body and ear-shaped rabbit headbands, and showing almost all of their chests and legs. Evan shook his head, looking over the window at the sight of those wonderful women.
“I thought about it in the hot spring village too, but the producer really made this place without thinking.”
“Eloa, remember that sometimes Master Evan uses the word ‘producer’ when he resents things, like the reason or nature of the world.”
“Do I have to remember that?”
“Well, those useless big things… Ouch, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh!”
With Belois and Eloa talking calmly and Arisha looking out the window somehow outraged, the wagon where Horta and Bane were riding had already become a little noisy.
Since they were healthy adult men, they couldn’t ignore this stimulating scene as soon as they entered the city. When Evan sighed, Eloa asked him.
“Master Evan is a healthy man, too. No one would blame you for being more outspoken. You’ve got a lot of money, and I’m sure it’ll be okay to take one of them to your bedroom.”
“What do you mean? If I wanted that, I could do as much as I want in the dungeon city.”
Eloa was stunned by Evan’s snorting remarks. But on reflection, it was a fact!
“…I don’t think the Master would even need money:”
“Well, I’m afraid I don’t want a woman who’s just looking at my face.”
“It’s very unlucky… then what? Aren’t you interested in sex?”
“That’s not true, but I don’t want to talk about this topic.”
Talk about the opposite sex still made Evan take on a defensive attitude.
It seemed that even Arisha and Belois, who had full interest in him, didn’t care much about this.…
‘Ah…… is that so? It may have something to do with what Belois had said before.’
When Belois first confessed her feelings to him, Evan remembered saying he didn’t know how to lean on others. It occurred to her that relationships may belong to some of that talk.
“You… are very interesting.”
“It’s an honor to draw the Ice Witch’s interest. Anyway, everybody should take this.”
Evan took the mask from his arms and delivered it to the group. It was a mask that would only be worn at a masquerade, covering the top of the nose to the forehead’s bottom.
“This is basic in this city. Even if you can’t hide your identity with a mask, wearing a mask can mean ‘don’t worry about what I do here.’ And take this, too.”
It was a metal badge shaped like a green clover. Eloa frowned on whether he knew this and put it on her chest.
“The first time I didn’t wear it, I was very annoyed.”
“You really went in without knowing anything… this badge means, ‘I’m only here for innocent reasons.’ If you want to prevent the opposite sex from approaching you for no reason, you’d better put it on.”
“If you leave this on, they won’t touch you?”
“Not exactly. It’ll just be less frequent.”
Even if you wear a mask, many people pretended to know who you are and wanted to interfere, and no matter how much you indicate that you were not interested in them, a lot of people would just stick to you.
“It increases the persuasive power of self-defense. It’s not a problem if you punish a person lightly for being annoying.”
“So, I can lightly punish someone…”
Arisha murmured satisfactorily at the remark. Perhaps on his first day in the city, Evan vowed to stay closer to Arisha and take care of her.
“What about the kids? Aren’t you going to put one on them too?”
“Calm down, Paul’s still 12.”
Of course, at the age of 12, Evan had already received quite a few sexual glances from the people around him, but it was Evan, after all. Moreover, receiving such attention and direct access was another story.
“Before we step forward, others will take care of these impurities, so be assured of the matter.”
“I suppose so.”
“Then let’s go to the quarters first.”
In the dungeon city, there was a widespread image that Evan was not usually extravagant, but this was because Evan didn’t have time to spend money, not because he didn’t like luxury.
Accommodation, for example. Except for special circumstances, such as when they had to sleep in the dungeon, he always wanted to sleep in the best possible setting.
“Mr. Evan, your check-in is complete. I hope you have a good time at the Rabbit House.”
“Come on, everybody up.”
“Wow, it’s wide.”
So the accommodation he booked was a luxury hotel suite, the Rabbit House, the same name attached to the largest casino in the city. He borrowed three rooms and divided them according to the number of people.
“Oh, it’s nice to have a spacious interior. Lua, how’s the cushion of the bed?”
“Good. I’m sure you’ll have no trouble sleeping.”
“…Master Evan, how much did it cost you to rent this suite?”
Belois and Arisha were just looking around the room calmly. They usually stayed in formidable high-end facilities such as the Marquis’ home or the Dungeon Knights headquarters. But after coming from the dungeon city as a noble, Eloa was shocked, her lips trembling.
“It wouldn’t be very good for Eloa’s heart if you knew. But it’s not a burden to me, so don’t worry.”
“I can’t believe the second son, who isn’t from a concubine or isn’t an heir, can rent three suites in this city’s finest hotel.…”
“I have more money than my father and brother right now.”
Eloa’s heart fluttered for a moment as Evan took off his jacket and hung it on his hanger, and spoke so calmly. His confidence and composure were dazzling.
‘How dare you say that you have more money than anyone else in the dungeon city!’ She first realized that she could actually fall for someone just because they had a lot of money.
“…Eloa?”
“Oh, no. No, Belois. I just thought that having a lot of money was a wonderful thing.”
They never expected the person they brought here was turning into the enemy. Eloa made excuses, waving her hands out to Belois.

Unfortunately, it only raised Belois’ alertness. Next to her glaring at Eloa, Arisha was amused at the team’s split.
“Hoo-hoo, wealth is one of the great attractions. But I don’t know if Evan will deal with the woman who’s after that.”
“But isn’t it better than someone attracted to looks?”
At this, Evan gave an unexpected answer to Arisha’s words. There, Arisha was embarrassed.
“As time goes by, the appearance disappears without a catch, but I’m the only one who can keep my money. So I’m glad if the opponent finds my wealth attractive… because the chances of being betrayed will be reduced that much.”
“Eh, it’s okay because Evan will grow old nicely. Have confidence.”
Not anymore, of course, but Arisha felt very embarrassed, as it could be seen from the beginning that she was attracted to Evan’s face. Of course not anymore, so it was fine!
However, she couldn’t explain it because she was sure she would be incredibly embarrassed. She started explaining one by one what she liked about Evan beside his face!
“Well, that’s not what matters now. Are the kids sleeping?”
“I just checked them. Paul put the kids to sleep, and I think he fell asleep, too.”
“Well, kids are usually asleep at this time.”
The room distribution was originally intended to be divided into Evan and Dain, Horta and Vain, and Paul and Ditto with the rest of the female members.
But when Belois insisted on sending Dain to the men’s room and brought herself to Evan’s room because she said she needed to watch out for Evan’s safety, Arisha protested, saying, “It’s impossible to leave them alone in the same room.”
And so Arisha moved to this room, and Eloa, who was left alone in the same room with Lin and Lan, the twin sisters, said she wanted to be with them instead, so they had to assign Paul and Ditto in the kids’ room…
“How did this happen?”
Evan came to share the same room as Belois, Arisha, and Eloa. Of course, the suite here had three bedrooms with a king-sized bed, so there was no problem…
“Would you like to sleep, too? I’ll get your bed ready.”
“The hotel has already taken care of everything. And I’m not going to sleep right now. The casino should be in full swing at this hour.”
Evan wore a mask on his face after dressing up in a suit that was easy to get around indoors. It was an attempt to hide at least 0.1 percent of his brilliant beauty, but rather, it had only produced side effects that added to his charm.
Evan would have had a huge success if he intended to induce mistakes by making the dealer’s heart skip a beat.
“I’ve set a target for tonight. Eloa, let’s go.”
“Hmm? Me?”
“Yes, Belois and Arisha can rest.”
“If you don’t mind that I accompany you… may I come with you?”
“Yeah, I knew it. Let’s go then, don’t forget the mask and badge.”
Evan led his people out and knocked on Dain’s door. Dain, in a full-armed state, popped out. Horta and Bane seemed to have gone out for a quick drink already.
“…Dain, have you been doing this?”
“I’m your escort. I was getting ready as soon as you left the room. It’s natural to watch you in the same room, but…”
“No, you can rest when you’re in your room. I can call you when I need you, so you can take off your armor.”
“I will.”
Dain nodded and said so, but Evan knew well that he would not do so.
“Dain, put this mask on. It’s an artifact that I put my heart and soul into together with Horta. I’m going to make you look a little better.”
“Artifact!”
“Yes… Just don’t wear the badge.”
“Badge?”
“There’s such a thing. Never mind, Dain.”
Evan’s escort driver, Dain, had turned thirty this year. He was talented and had such a good personality, but somehow he had not met a good relationship yet.
Hopefully, he would have a good relationship in the city, and Evan had given him a mask with direct contact appeal.
“Then what’s Evan wearing?”
“What I’m wearing is protective equipment.”
“Protective equipment?”
That’s what I heard just yesterday. But that wasn’t a metaphor? Eloa tilted her head, but Evan only smiled. Then Belois, who was staring at him, noticed something.
“…Master, your earrings and necklaces are different than usual.”
“Oh, you took off your gloves, too!”
“And the ring Rose gave you…”
“Yes, this is before the Demon King appears, so there is no intrusion by the demons here. I put everything in my inventory pocket except my boots.”
Evan, who usually wore Miraseul’s necklace for slime training and self-defense purposes, wore jewelry and gloves, but now he was only wearing boots just in case.
“Instead, there’s protective equipment.”
Five pieces of equipment managed to be obtained by using the wealth and information of the Brotherhood Corporation.
A mask that covered half of the face, a coin-shaped pure gold earring, a pure gold necklace, a pure gold ring, and even a pure gold bracelet as the last.
There are no words to describe it, but he looked very… It was a fashion style that made him look very nouveau rich. However, it was amazing that Evan looked good with those on. The jewelry was shining because of the man wearing them.
“Wait a minute. Are those all artifacts?”
“Yes, they’re protective equipment. They’re all artifacts with only one ability.”
These artifacts had the effect of amplifying only one status. It existed, but its use was so ambiguous that there was no reason to use them unless it was a special situation.
The status only applied to very ambiguous areas such as evasive probability, fatal chance, money acquisition rate, drop item middle price, quest compensation increase, etc.….
“It’s an artifact set that boosts good luck. …it’s my first time wearing a set.”
Luck increase. There was a place where one needed that elusive status more than anywhere else.
