Evan D. Sherden, Beyond the Limitation (3)
There were several methods to resist abnormalities caused by curses, debuffs, and other magic that acted directly on the human body. First, defensive magic absorbed the attacker’s mana or dispersed the magic structure to cancel the spell. This was usually used on weaker opponents since there was a greater burden on the defender if the opponents’ mana was high. The second method was definitely the most commonly used method. It constructed magic that applied magic to the human body. Belois and Mirole used this kind of defensive magic. It was most effective because it created a formula that could counter the attacker. The third was to temporarily raise the body’s level and give immunity to all kinds of harmful effects. This magic was used by Anastasia, a Druid, and Raihan, the tanker.
“And the last method.”
“Defense via the difference in status…”
“But sometimes the magic doesn’t end with defense, and it reflects instead.”
If one succeeded in using an abnormal state of defense spell, the results were divided into several consequences. First, the body would get weaker because it received small effects from the abnormal state of magic. Second, there was the cancellation of the magic. And lastly, there was reflection. This meant that the abnormal state of magic was sent back to the attacker. The opponent must be superior to the attacker in all aspects for this miracle to occur.
-I’ll sacrifice my heart if he asked me.
-Oh no, I made eye contact. Maybe my ugly face made him feel bad?
When that miracle happened, every Siren that lived on the 71st floor was fascinated by Evan. The Sirens performed the song of fascination not only for Evan, but also for all his group members. Yet, Evan’s charm increased the song’s power beyond perfection and fascinated the Sirens who were hiding.
“I really didn’t expect this to happen. If I had known, I wouldn’t have come with such poor equipment.”
“Uh. They’re monsters, but they’re all beautiful. What’s more…”
Since Sirens’ and Succubus’ were made to seduce others, they all had fascinating appearances. Moreover, the monster created by mixing them was perfect. Their faces were attractive, and their bodies were especially beautiful.
“I’m… I’m uglier than a monster…”
“Arisha, you…no, nothing.”
Evan wanted to ignore Arisha, who continued stammering over her chest armor and chewed her lips, but her Rapier, which was aiming straight at Evan, made it impossible for him to do so.
“So, what are you going to do, Evan? What are you going to do?”
“Don’t point the sword at me, making that sorrowful expression, Arisha. I’m scared.”
Belois was also scary (looking blankly at Evan and holding Arisha back). Evan clapped his hands to gather the Sirens around him.
-He’s calling us!
-He wants us!
-I’m on my way. If you want, I can go anywhere.
Looking at them gathering around with innocent looks on their faces, he thought they seemed like human beings, not Demons… Evan knew the nature of these monsters very well. To be exact, he had seen them numerous times in the game, so he wasn’t fooled by them.
-What do you want?
A Siren who represented the group, a beautiful female-type mafioso with a human body, white wings, and small fish scales attached to its neck, asked Evan. Of course, she had a beautiful appearance closer to an angel than a demon because her wings were white. Evan asked her calmly, feeling relieved that he felt some inner peace despite looking at her outstanding beauty.
“First, answer my question. What are you guys?”
-We’re Lunatic Siren. The demon that brings dreams to reality, originating from the Succubus and Siren. I will give you whatever you want. Whatever it may be.
Evan let out a small sigh. He had a vague prediction since he saw the sand whale, but it eventually reached this point. Lunatic Siren, it sounded good! Serena, who ordered the slimes to face the monsters, smiled and approached Evan. Evan whispered something to her, and she shook her head firmly.

“I don’t think we can do it because of Gnar. And there’s a sea worm.”
“Yes, then…”
Fortunately, Serena smiled brightly and nodded to Evan to answer the second question.
“I’m a little excited because your breath feels so warm.”
“I know you’re a pervert, so please just answer the question.”
“It’s possible. I can do it right now.”
“Not right now. Let’s look up to the 75th floor and decide.”
“Okay!”
Soon after, the battle ended perfectly. It was a big deal to route monsters floating on the sea, but at Evan’s request, the Sirens moved by themselves to deal with the monsters. Surprisingly, they were able to get two Blood Crystals as well.
“Killing monsters is doing only good things for Shine.”
“Thank you very much…but absorbing it won’t make me look like a weird monster, right?
“You had no problem holding a dragon bone weapon. What nonsense is that now?”
Of course, there was no problem. Shine also asked Anastasia if he looked handsome, holding a sword after cutting down the Blood Crystals in turn. Anastasia replied with a giggle.
“I’m not sure, since Shine has always been handsome. But I think I can answer that question better if you kiss me.”
“Okay.”
“Alright. Just let them be.”
Evan then turned around, leaving the group members and the affectionate couple. There were thousands of Lunatic Sirens waiting for Evan’s next order with sparkling eyes.
“I’m sure you’ve figured it out. Now you’re the only monsters left on the 71st floor.”
-That’s right. It’s just us. It’s just you and us.
The Leader Siren approached, put her finger on Evan’s chest, and then proceeded to act cutely. Evan continued his words after somehow stopping Arisha from reacting with fire sparks in her eyes.
“We are explorers who aim to conquer the dungeons. And to get down to the 72nd floor, you need a reasonable achievement. I mean…you get it, right?”
Evan spoke softly, slightly pushing aside the Siren leader who was trying to hold him back.
“I want you to kill each other.”
That day, Shine thought one thing.
‘Who is the devil now?’
