"Well, that happens when you see someone that should be dead." Cedric chuckled. He knew exactly what kind of mind game Kai was playing with Jim Walker. "Has he gone up to William Trent?"
Cedric sat in his car, outside of the hotel.
He had just called Ian to see if their plan was going as smoothly as possible.
"He is walking up to him now." Ian said, cutting their communication off.
Cedric couldn't help but be amused with the game Kai was playing. She deserved to have this.
After she had told him and Ian what her father had made them go through, he would have tormented Jim Walker himself for the poor girl and her family.
She should have been focused on her studies, on ballet, instead she had to deal with a man like Jim Walker.
"I take it the plan is going well?" Camilla asked as she monitored the news and other relevant information on her laptop.
She was currently coordinating the escape vehicles for after William Trent and Jim Walker had been dealt with.
"Kai is marvelous. I wonder if Ray will let me hire her after this?" Cedric asked no one in particular as his phone began to ring.
Camilla laughed and shook her head.
"I doubt she would leave or if Ray will let her go." Camilla told Cedric as he answered the call on his phone.
"Miguel! How is Eric doing?" Cedric asked in a cheery tone, expecting good news.
"Ced. . ." Miguel's voice was hoarse, it was as if he couldn't form the words to express what he needed to say.
"Miguel, what's wrong?" Cedric's tone became frantic as he realized something was wrong with Miguel.
He began to wonder if there was an attack on the hospital or if the Chans were threatened. The number of things that could go wrong just kept escalating as Cedric waited for Miguel to speak up.
Noting his distress, Camilla looked at Cedric curiously. She knew that not a lot of things could elicit this kind of reaction from Cedric.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
"Miguel, speak up, I can't understand what you're saying." Cedric told his friend as his voice grew desperate.
"He's gone. Cedric he's gone." Miguel began to sob over the phone.
He sounded like a man who had been defeated, one who had just lost everything.
"Who is gone?" Cedric asked before a wave of realization hit him.
"No." Camilla gasped from her seat as she took out her phone to dial Katerina's number.
"Those bastards, they killed him. They killed Eric. He was fighting but somehow they were able to get someone to finish the deed." Miguel was sobbing, but it was clear he was also angry.
Cedric felt a tear fall from his eyes as he watched Camilla shake her head.
"Katerina isn't picking up." Her voice trembled as she spoke, thinking the worst had happened.
"Miguel, where is Kat?" Cedric asked, worried about their pregnant friend.
"She left. But Nicole went after her and her bodyguards were close behind, she should be fine." Miguel told Cedric.
"It's time to deal with this. End it once and for all." Cedric said as he dropped the call and opened the car door.
"Where are you going?" Camilla asked as she pushed off her laptop and quickly followed Cedric out of the car.
"I am done plotting and scheming." Cedric told Camilla angrily as he pushed the doors open to the hotel.
"Cedric, consider what you are about to do very carefully. You are still a public figure!" Camilla chased after Cedric as he pushed open different doors in the hotel.
Suddenly he stopped, took out his phone and dialed someone's number.
"Where are Ian and Seth meeting them?" He asked the person at the other end of the line. It was one of Ian's bodyguards who was posing as a member of the Dean Family mafia.
"A room that acts as a backstage, sir. It's directly behind the function room, there is an entrance from the loading dock. We have men stationed there already." The bodyguard said as Cedric dropped the call and shoved his phone back into his pocket.
"Ced!" Camilla called out again, he continued to ignore her as he marched through the hotel towards the backstage where Ian and Seth were meeting with the last of the Rajas.
When he finally found it, he was greeted by several of Seth's men and some of his, who nodded as Cedric took out a gun and cocked it.
"No! Ced!" Camilla shouted as Cedric pushed open the door and smiled.
What luck he had that he didn't need to look around the room for William Trent. He was standing there, right in front of the door. Defenseless, as if he were waiting for Cedric to take his life.
"Asshole, burn in hell." Cedric hissed as he pulled the trigger, hitting his target, killing William Trent.
When Ian realized what was happening, he quickly tackled Jim Walker, making sure that the other man couldn't call for help.
"What the fuck, Cedric?!" Ian asked as he dragged Jim Walker back on his feet and Camilla made sure that the door was shut and that there were no witnesses outside.
"He's gone Ian, Eric is gone, those two sent someone to deal with him in the hospital!" Cedric shouted as he walked up to Jim Walker.
Ian looked down at the man her was holding as he looked in disbelief.
He couldn't believe that Eric was gone, dead, because of the two men in the room with them.
A hundred things were running in his mind when Cedric suddenly took charge making Seth and Camilla react.
"Cedric!" Seth shouted in a panicked tone.
Cedric took Jim Walker's hand, placed the gun in it with his finger on the trigger.
"Give me a good reason why I shouldn't pull this trigger!" Cedric shouted.
"It wasn't me!" Jim Walker shouted.
"Wrong answer." Cedric said as his eyes turned cold.
"Please, please, n-" Jim Walker begged as Cedric pulled the trigger. Killing Jim Walker.
