"Can't I drive?" Aldrich asked as Emilio pulled up to the Laurence mansion's driveway.
"Of course not. You're only fifteen, kid. Here." Emilio told Aldrich as he tossed him a mask.
"Auntie Adrianna doesn't know, does she?" Aldrich asked with a grin as he got into Emilio's car.
"Dad wants it to be a surprise. It's the first time in I think ten or fifteen years that I'm appearing with them." Emilio told his cousin as he drove off towards the direction of R Tower.
Contrary to what Emilio's mother and siblings knew, he and Aldrich wouldn't be joining the celebrations as some random guests.
Today, they would be arriving as themselves. On the way they, Aldrich watched as all the news channels covered the event, it was, after all, the 150th anniversary of the Reyes Group. It was quite a big event with businessmen and socialites crawling over each just to attend.
"Are we near?" Aldrich asked as he looked up at his older cousin.
"Five minutes." Emilio told him as he focused on the road. He wasn't that familiar with this car, it was his, but he rarely took it out. He, like his father, preferred to drive the simpler cars.
"Told mom already." Aldrich said as he finished sending a message to Ayanna. "Are you nervous? It's been a while."
"I'm just hoping mom doesn't cut off dad's balls for not telling him about this." Emilio laughed nervously as they pulled up to the entrance of the hotel.
The reporters did not expect for another set of guests to arrive, but when they saw two sports cars, they couldn't help but be stunned.
"Who hasn't arrived yet?" One of the reporters asked as one of them scrolled through a list of VIP guests that the Reyes Group had invited for the event.
"I don't know, there is no one else, but based on how the bodyguards have all lined up outside those two cars, they seem to be important people." The reporter with the list said.
When the front passenger door of the car opened, a handsome young man with fair delicate skin stepped out.
"It's Young Master Tristan Lim, I thought he was abroad finishing his studies. He wasn't on the list." One of the reporters whispered as people began taking out their cameras and snapping photos of Tristan.
"Don't be a coward, cousin." They heard Tristan Lim tease as a man that stood a little bit taller than Tristan as he stepped out from behind the car, people couldn't help but look at him in awe.
This wasn't the first time that Dominic Chan was making an appearance, but he had been spending the last few years out of the public eye as he focused on becoming a better doctor.
It was said that he was as smart as his adoptive father and better looking, but Dominic's flaw was that there was always a dark cloud hovering around him. Making him very unapproachable.
"Why are those two so slow?" Dominic grumbled as a chauffeur drove his car away.
The car behind them was even more expensive, it was a limited edition sports car with only five in existence.
"Who could own that?" One of the reporters asked as people took photos of the car.
Even if the person inside the car was not someone important, the car itself was popular enough to make the news.
"Such an entrance." Tristan laughed as a rare smile occupied Dominic's lips. He couldn't help but find it interesting how the two most low profile guys he knew were making a statement as they arrived.
When the door to the passenger's side opened, people held their breath. They thought it would be a woman stepping out. Instead, they were surprised to see a handsome young man in a black suit step out.
"Aldrich!" Tristan made sure that his voice was loud enough for the members of the media to hear.
When they realized that the young man in front of them was the elusive heir of the Laurence family, everyone was stunned.
They all temporarily forgot to do their jobs as they stared at Aldrich. It was the first time anyone was seeing him.
"Ph- ph- photos, we need to take photos! The bosses will all be mad if we fail to take photos of Young Master Aldrich!" Someone frantically said as bright flashes assaulted Aldrich and his friends.
"If they are reacting this way to me, wait till they see who was driving the car." Aldrich whispered to Dominic as he rolled his eyes at the energetic Tristan.
Where most of the boys had been quite distant and aloof, Tristan had always been quite charming. He was quite well known for being chased by women all over the Capital because to them, he was the complete package.
"They won't be able to process it immediately. They wouldn't have even realized who you were if Tristan hadn't been so loud." Dominic told Aldrich with a deep chuckle.
"It was obviously on purpose." Tristan rolled his eyes at the two men behind him. "Little Aldrich, stop hanging out with Dominic and Emilio too much, you will become like them. Too dark, too serious, no one will want to approach you."
"I'm sure everyone wants to be friends with the sons of the Reyes Family." Dominic pointed out, making Aldrich laugh.
"Well, Christopher hates it." Aldrich pointed out as the driver's door opened and he saw Emilio handing the keys to Leon, the Reyes family's head of security.
Everyone knew that if Leon was around, it had to be someone very important to the Reyes Family. He wasn't sent to protect just anyone.
An idea crossed Aldrich's mind, making him grin.
When Tristan saw his expression he already knew that Aldrich was up to no good. Before Tristan could even ask, the younger man spoke up.
"Cousin, what's taking you so long?" Aldrich shouted, making all the reporters go wide eyed in shock.
They knew that only one of Aldrich's cousins was not inside the venue already, and this was a person that they never expected to arrive.
