"You've chosen an interesting ally here, Martin." Chris Garin said as he took a seat. Cedric noticed how confident Chris had become, he had always been confident, but now it was a different kind. It was like Chris was so sure of himself because of the riches and power that now backed him.

Cedric glared at Chris, not saying a word. He was actually worried that the father and son duo were getting close to learning his identity and that this meeting would make them realize somehow that he was actually the Reyes Heir.

"Young master De Dios knows Cedric?" Martin asked with a grin, he was unaware of the hatred between the two so he thought that the familiarity was a benefit for them.

"Ha, the irony of that. No Martin. I hate him almost as much as I hate the Reyes Heir." With Chris' statement everyone grew quiet.

"Don't be so harsh Chris. I think Cedric here has seen the errors of trusting the Reyes Family." Carlos De Dios' voice sent chills down Cedric's spine. This man was responsible for the attempt on his life, he also wanted to end the Reyes family. If this man somehow found out that it was actually the Reyes Heir sitting on the same table as him Cedric knew Carlos De Dios would not hesitate to kill.

"I did." Cedric said quietly, not wanting to say more words to the father and son duo.

"Are you sure he isn't spying for the Reyes Heir?" Chris asked Martin.

"No sir. We've done a thorough check on him. Nothing unusual. I actually pity him." Martin said as he looked at Cedric with sad eyes. Cedric was confused by Martin's statement, did they find something out that even he didn't know? Cedric doubted it but remained silent.

"How so?" Carlos De Dios asked.

"May I tell them?" Martin asked Cedric. Cedric who remained clueless to what Martin was referring to simply nodded.

"His wife has been cheating on him with the Reyes Heir." Martin confidently said. Cedric almost spat his drink when he heard Martin's conclusion. Now he was curious as to why Martin assumed this. It was of course impossible for his wife to cheat on him with himself.

"How did you know?" Cedric said as he struggled not to laugh.

"Cedric, you don't need to pretend to be strong. We know that your wife hasn't been coming home to your house for quite a while now. And the baby in her is the Reyes Heir's right?" Martin asked. Cedric was shocked by the conclusion, it meant that they had also placed a tail to follow Adrianna. Cedric wanted to curse at himself for not thinking that they could tail Adrianna. Cedric was just lucky that they didn't harm her or that nothing that led to his true identity had been revealed.

"Yes." Cedric said grimly as he looked down.

"I assumed as much, you guys have been married for so long and yet you had no child, then suddenly, now she is pregnant. Not only has his wife left him and bore another man's child, but Cedric is also being forced by the Reyes Heir to stay in the Reyes Group in order to keep an eye on him. Plus the Reyes Heir has done something for Adrianna that Cedric could never, he got revenge on her family." Obviously everything Martin had just said was wrong, but it worked to Cedric's advantage. The more pitiful he sounded the more Carlos and Chris would trust that he was on the same side as them. The truth was, Adrianna had been taking the pill since they weren't ready to have a child just yet. They both wanted to wait, Adrianna wanted her career and Cedric wanted the child raised in the Reyes Household.

"I guess a mutual enemy makes us allies." Chris said to Cedric.

"See son, if I had killed him like you wanted we would have missed out on such an opportunity!" Carlos De Dios exclaimed, exposing Chris' desire to get rid of Cedric.

"Isn't killing me going a bit too far Chris. It's not like I hurt you in any way." Cedric said as if to plead his case.

"You annoy me, people have died for less." Chris said as he crossed his arms. "If you stay out of my way in the future I will let you live." Chris Garin warned Cedric. Cedric wanted to laugh at him and say that it was Chris that needed to stay out of his way.

"Don't worry Chris, like you, I have a motive for being here." Cedric said with a grin. Things had just gotten more complicated with Carlos and Chris getting involved, now Cedric knew that the backer was not someone he could just bully away. He may have wanted to take a sit and wait to plan his next moves, unfortunately Martin had planned to start executing in the next few days.

"Are we sure our plan will work?" Chris asked Martin, ignoring Cedric's response.

"Of course sir. All families like the Reyes clan are still very much dependent on those that they are allied with." Martin said, ensuring Chris about their plan.

"You need to keep in mind that the bond between the Reyes Clan and the others go deeper than just business." Carlos De Dios said as he swirled the wine in his glass. "They will soon be bound by marriage with the Laurences. As for the others I'm not sure on the extent of how close they truly are. The young mistress of the Reyes Clan is always with the daughters of the others, now as for the Reyes Heir and the four princes I'm not so sure if they are truly friends or simply associates."

"Even friendships wouldn't be able to survive our plan sir."Carissa spoke up for the first time. "The plan will not only show that the Reyes Group is after their own benefit alone, but also that others cannot trust them."

"Do you have enough people to execute your plan?" Carlos asked the three.

"Yes." This time it was Cedric that answered, he had a good grasp of the people that would be involved in the plan as well as the number of people the plan required.

"What will each of you do after the Reyes Group falls?" Carlos De Dios asked Martin, Carissa, and Cedric.

"My cousin and I will move far away. We want to put the Reyes Group behind us and move on." Martin said with a nod. It seemed like they had planned to leave a long time ago.

Carlos looked at Cedric, who hadn't said his plans yet. Cedric considered what to say. He wanted to make sure that he still had an emergency exit should things go bad.

"I don't have any plans of leaving the country. But I guarantee you that you will never see or hear of me again." Cedric said, hoping that Carlos De Dios would be satisfied by this answer.

"Good." I'll transfer the funds you need right after this." Carlos De Dios said as he moved to stand up.

"Cedric, won't you thank me? Maybe get on your knees?" Chris Garin said in a mocking tone.

"Chris, this isn't the time for this. The two of you can have your words once this issue is done and settled." Carlos said reprimanding his son.

The father and son duo left, with Chris looking back and glaring at Cedric.
