"Are you telling me or asking for my permission?" Cedric asked as he took a sip of his drink.
"Both." Ray said proudly.
"Why are you asking for my permission? The only person who's permission you need is my sister." Cedric told Ray as a smile slowly crept up his face. Of course Ray didn't need to ask him for his permission. As long as they weren't too loud about registering their marriage it wouldn't attract their enemies' attention. That was what Cedric was protecting them against anyway, that the people that wished them harm wouldn't get the chance to hurt them again.
"Thank God you agreed." Ray said as he breathed a sigh of relief.
"It's not my place to dictate my sister's private life. I already told both of you why we needed to postpone your wedding, since you found a work around it's perfect." Cedric said with a shrug. "Congratulations Ray." He said as he raised his glass.
He and Ray clinked glasses as Ray gave Cedric his thanks.
"At least she doesn't need a fancy dress to go to the government office." Cedric laughed.
"I think she might just whip something fancy up, she'll keep saying how it's her wedding day and she wants to feel special." Ray said with a shrug.
"She has a lot of white designer dresses, she'll probably wear one of those." As he finished speaking, Cedric looked at his glass and upon noticing that there was very little left he finished the whole glass.
"We should go back and join the girls. Dad picked up mom from the airport with my in-laws. They should be back soon." Cedric suggested as he walked out of his office.
When Ayanna and Cedric's parents arrived Ray and Ayanna excitedly went up to them.
"Mom, dad, Ray and I have something to tell you." Ayanna said with a big smile.
"Are you pregnant?" Priscilla Reyes said with a gasp.
"No mom. How could I even be?" Ayanna asked.
"Well you're dad and I couldn't resist each other and your older brother was probably conceived before our wedding." Priscilla Reyes told her daughter.
"Mom! Seriously?" Ayanna said as she rolled her eyes.
Everyone just laughed at her reaction. They were all adults in the room an it was normal for couples to have sex, it wasn't exactly a topic that needed to be avoided.
"Mom, dad, Ray and I are getting married tomorrow." Ayanna proudly said.
"But everything isn't ready yet. And you reserved both the church and the venue for a different date. Have you moved all of that? Have you informed your guests? Why wasn't this all over the news?" Priscilla Reyes bombarded them with questions as Cedric simply laughed behind his sister.
"Cedric Reyes you knew about this and didn't do anything!" Priscilla Reyes accused her son.
"Mom, relax. Listen." Cedric said as he pointed as his sister.
"Darling, you jump into conclusions too fast." Emilio Reyes told his wife as he gently kissed her on the head.

Cedric watched their actions and remembered Ian's report earlier that day. How could anything else be going on? His dad was extremely affectionate to his mom and they didn't seem to be having any marital problems. His dad looked madly in love with his mom as Emilio Reyes held his wife tightly.
"It's not a big wedding." Ayanna laughed. "We will just get our marriage license and maybe have dinner to celebrate." Ayanna said with a shrug.
"Why are you changing your plans?" Priscilla Reyes asked.
"I asked them too." Cedric said."The incident has not yet been resolved and we have so many enemies that I'm not even sure which ones have the capability to create what happened. I advised them not to hold a big public wedding, it won't just be bad press for us but it will also put their marriage under undue scrutiny. This relationship is between Ray and Ayanna, not them and the whole country." Cedric explained and defended his reason for not letting them have the big wedding that was already in the works.
"Can you even get a marriage license tomorrow?" Gracia Hernandez asked, joining into the conversation.
"Auntie, it's not a problem." Ray said with a grin. "I already called Alexi and he said Uncle Jose asked them to open just for us tomorrow."
"Ha. The perks of being the president I guess." Charles Hernandez said with a laugh. He had been getting close to Emilio's friends since Emilio Reyes brought him along on their golf trips, he got along with the fathers quite well, despite the vast difference in their upbringing.
"In that case, let's have the reception at the old house. It's more or less ready and the security there is much tighter. Who will you be inviting?" Priscilla Reyes asked her daughter and son-in-law to be.
"Well, we were thinking of inviting just our family and close friends." Ray said. "So the Chans, the Sebastians, and the Abads. We also wanted to invite the Lims as well, you and my dad were good friends with them in the past, weren't you uncle?" Ray asked.
"Yes we were good friends with Ian's father. I was quite surprised to hear about what happened to them." Emilio recalled his memories with his old friend. "We grew distant over time, but it would be nice to have the Lims around especially since Ian works closely with us and is Cedric's other best friend."
Upon obtaining Ayanna's family's approval, the couple quickly called the Laurence family who didn't hesitate to let the couple push through with getting their wedding license.
As soon as they got all of the elder's approvals Ayanna dragged Adrianna up to her room to choose a wedding dress.
Adrianna laughed and handed little Emilio over to Cedric who played with his son while waiting for dinner.
The next day Cedric was woken up early by Adrianna getting out of bed.
"Isn't it too early? It's the weekend." Cedric groaned as he pulled his wife back into bed. "Why don't we give little Emilio a little sister." Cedric whispered into his wife's ear.
"Really? That's your priority today Cedric? It's your sister's wedding day. I'm going to help the bride get ready." Adrianna said as she tried to pry Cedric's hands off of her.
"But honey…" Cedric complained as he left a trail of kisses on his wife's neck. "I really want you." As he said this he nudged himself towards his wife, making her feel how much he wanted her.
"Seriously?" Adrianna asked.
"Just one." Cedric whispered as he kissed her ear making Adrianna let out a silent moan.
"I've been married to you for years, I know just once is not enough. I'll be late if I give in to you." Adrianna teased as she managed to get out of Cedric's embrace.
She winked at him and went to the bathroom to shower.
