Cedric made sure to finish his work early that day, he had quickly done away with his meetings and asked Ian and Camilla to send the documents that needed his attention to Mountain View. He had promised his mom that he would come home earlier for dinner.

"Adri." Cedric said as he called his wife.

"Mmmm. Yes Cedric?" Adrianna asked over the phone.

"Are you still at work?" Cedric asked.

"Yeah. I'm finishing some things up." Adrianna told him. Cedric could sense that she was somewhat distracted, he guessed that she was probably working on something while they spoke.

"I'll come pick you up." Cedric said lovingly over the phone.

"You aren't working overtime tonight?" Adrianna asked, clearly surprised that her husband wasn't too busy that night.

"Yeah. Mom wants to have a family dinner." Cedric said gently.

"Alright, I'll be ready in five. See you." Adrianna said cheerfully as she dropped the call.

Cedric smiled like a child as he dropped the call and gathered his things. He still needed to wear his disguise out since the junior assistants were at their desks.

When Cedric walked out he looked at Ian and Camilla.

"You'll send everything over later?" He asked in a more distant tone than usual.

"Yes sir." Camilla said with a nod.

"Ian do you have an update on the matter?" Cedric asked.

"I'll tell you on the ride down." Ian said more casually as he stood up and walked with Cedric to the elevator.

"Assistant Ian is really quite close to the boss." Camilla's junior assistant, Mae, said with a gasp.

As they were walking away Cedric heard this and took note to tease Ian about it in the future. Since the elevator they were taking was for Cedric's exclusive use it opened as soon as Ian pressed the button.

"We've planted spies outside the house already, but it seems your dad and his people already know where their vulnerable spots are and there is heightened security in those areas." Ian reported as they rode the elevator down.

"We'll take what we can." Cedric said simply.

"I'll call when there is something to report." Ian told Cedric as the elevator doors opened to the underground parking lot.

Cedric nodded and got into the white Rolls Royce that was waiting for him.

"We'll pick Adrianna up first." Cedric told his driver who nodded and drove towards the direction of Island's Inc.

Cedric had told Adrianna beforehand that he was leaving so by the time the car drove by Island's Inc.'s office all Adrianna had to do was climb in.

"I heard about what happened at Saints today." Adrianna said as she leaned back on her husband's chest.

"Yeah, but it's settled." Cedric reported to his wife.

"You were all over the gossip sites and on social media today." Adrianna said as she held up her phone. "People were wondering why you went to Saints, and their guesses are nothing close to reality." She said with a giggle.

"What are they saying?" Cedric asked as he played with Adrianna's hair.

"So one theory is that you were badly injured and that you needed to go to the hospital. A lot of your fans were worried and have been tagging the Mor Co. and Reyes Group accounts like crazy!" Adrianna said.

"Well, it's not impossible." Cedric said with a laugh.

"Another theory is that your wife gave birth, ha! Little do they know our adorable son is six months old already and he's already walking." Adrianna proudly said. They had all been shocked one day when little Emilio managed to lift himself and wobbly walk a few steps before falling on his butt.

"Any mistresses in the rumors?" Cedric teased. He knew rumors of mistresses and affairs would always be present.

"Yup. One said that you had a woman in the hospital that Miguel was keeping a secret for you. I mean how crazy are these fans of yours." Adrianna complained.

Cedric looked at his wife and smiled. He turned her and gazed into her eyes lovingly.

"You do know that you are the only woman for me." Cedric said as he caressed her cheek.

"I know, and you're the only man I will love, in this life or the next." Adrianna responded before leaning forward and kissing him passionately. Cedric grinned, it seemed Adrianna was moved by his words, he realized that he should pick up some lines from the Chans more often.

When they arrived at home they were greeted by their son running over. Cedric knelt and stretched out his arms to catch his son, but little Emilio ran right past him and hugged his mother's leg.

Adrianna laughed and bent over to pick her son up. When he was finally in his mother's arms he laughed and spoke "Mama!" little Emilio said with a giggle again.

"This one is such a mama's boy." Priscilla said as she welcomed the couple home.

"Just like his father." Emilio Reyes teased as he arrived right behind the couple.

"That is true!" Priscilla Reyes proudly said. "Did you know that when he was three he didn't want to play with his friends and often just held on to my skirt and hid behind my legs?" Priscilla told Gracia and Charles Hernandez who were in the living room with them.

"Adrianna was closer to her dad." Gracia Hernandez said with a grin.

"Mom has always been bitter about that." Adrianna said, rolling her eyes. "Dad has always been nicer to me anyway."

"I think you even love your mother-in-law more than me!" Gracia Hernandez complained.

"Well you did try to break her and Cedric up." Charles Hernandez said with a shrug.

"I was an evil mother-in-law for a while, wasn't I?" Gracia Hernandez said with a laugh.

"Don't worry mom, all is forgiven." Cedric smiled at his mother-in-law. "Plus I think my mom wouldn't be as happy as she is now if you guys didn't come into her life." Cedric grinned.

"Speaking of happiness, where is the happy couple?" Emilio Reyes asked.

"Upstairs, hopefully making another grandchild for us." Priscilla Reyes said with a laugh.

"Auntie!" Marie complained as she walked in with her parents.

"Don't tell me you don't want another niece or nephew! You come over almost everyday just to play with Emilio." Priscilla Reyes said rolling her eyes.

"Just agree to marry Marco already." Marie's mother, Aurora Reyes told her daughter. "It's been years. Just go over to a church and get married."

"Mom!" Marie complained. "Grandma! Grandpa! Mom is bullying me!" Marie playfully complained as she saw the elderly couple come out to the living room.

"Marie, seriously, stop acting like a child!" Grandma Reyes scolded as Marie ran over to hug her.

"Don't listen to your grandma Marie. You could be fifty and we wouldn't mind you coming to us when your parents bully you." Grandpa Emilio said as he laughed at his granddaughter.

"Grandpa I'm almost forty." Marie complained.

"All the more reason for you to just get married. You love him, he loves you. Not an issue." Her mother Aurora complained.

"Just drop it auntie. Marie is extremely stubborn and Marco is Marco." Ayanna said as she came down with Ray. "I'm hungry. Is dinner ready yet?" Ayanna asked.

"Yes. I'll ask the maids to serve it." Priscilla Reyes said as she went to the kitchen.

"Won't we wait for Miguel and Veronica?" Ray asked.

"Those leeches are at Nicole's tonight. I'm hoping they move back there soon." Cedric complained.

"Veronica is worried about Nicole so they decided to have dinner there while Ian is busy at work." Ayanna explained.

"Busy because of Cedric." Adrianna added.

"I didn't ask him to do overtime!" Cedric said, claiming innocence.

"Let's just eat." Marie said as she walked to the dining room.
