When Cedric woke up at home the next day Ian and Mae were already setting up his office at Mountain View. Miguel had initially insisted that Cedric rest for the day but Cedric had too much on his plate to take a break. Miguel then decided to assign his friend Jo to serve as his personal nurse for the next few days.

Miguel had also adjusted his morning and evening rounds in order to check up on Cedric.

The wound was healing nicely and Miguel reminded Cedric not to do anything strenuous until it was completely healed. Cedric nodded as Jo brought in a wheelchair for him.

"I have a hard time walking, it doesn't mean I need a wheelchair!" Cedric grumbled as he saw what Jo had brought in.

"You're not allowed to put any weight on your leg. This will make things easier." Miguel scolded.

"Fine." Cedric said as he moved from the bed to the wheelchair, he wasn't completely helpless.

Jo wheeled Cedric to the dining room where the rest of the family was waiting for him.

"Hero of Hype." Veronica said with a laugh as Miguel went over to her and planted a kiss on her lips.

"When's your house getting completed again?" Cedric teased. "You've been married a year and you're still running from the Abads and living in my house."

"Well if Ayanna and Ray hadn't asked me to build their place I would be done by now." Veronica said as she crossed her arms over her chest and glared at Ayanna.

"You promised." Ayanna said with a shrug.

"Dada!" Little Emilio called out as he struggled to run up to his father.

Cedric smiled as his son looked curiously at the wheelchair.

"Your dad saved someone yesterday, that's why he is on that thing. He got hurt." Adrianna said as she picked her son up in her arms and placed him on her lap so that he could reach out to Cedric. "But dad will be at home the whole day today, so you get to stay at his office."

Little Emilio seemed to understand what his mom was saying, he clapped and giggled making everyone on the table smile at the little boy.

After breakfast Cedric went to his office with Jo's help, as per Miguel's instructions Jo wasn't allowed to leave Cedric alone. Miguel was worried that Cedric would overdo it and end up making his injury worse.

"Boss, your house is amazing!" Mae exclaimed as Cedric arrived in the office.

"Thanks, Veronica designed it." Cedric said with a grin.

"I couldn't even say a word at that table, the people in this house are just too amazing." Jo said, shaking his head.

"You work for Miguel, how can you be afraid of my family." Cedric asked his friend with a raised eyebrow.

"Veronica doesn't come to the hospital often, and your parents alone are just amazing!" Jo exclaimed, making Cedric laugh.

"There's a tablet on the table, you can use it, go watch your K-Drama or something." Cedric teased his friend who only grinned and picked up the tablet Cedric was pointing at.

Their morning was quite peaceful, Cedric had some virtual meetings and he finalized the expansion plan for the Reyes Group. Dave and Camilla also dropped by to give an update on the Mor Co. plans Cedric had approved as well as to check up on him.

During lunch Alexi dropped by with Katerina and Eric.

"Didn't Adrianna get mad at you for what you did?" Katerina asked as she crossed her arms and glared at Cedric.

"I saved someone." Cedric said with a shrug as they waited for the maids to serve the food.

"I wasn't talking about that." Katerina said, rolling her eyes at him. "You went to Hype because you were being petty. If you weren't this petty, you wouldn't have gotten hurt." She scolded.

"Wow, you're even more mad than my sister and wife combined." Cedric said with a grin.

"Adrianna loves you too much and Ayanna is as petty as you. Of course neither of them would tell you off for this." Katerina groaned.

"Katerina, if I hadn't gone to the bar those girls and Ciara would have gotten hurt. So my pettines save lives." Cedric argued back.

"Cedric, you aren't some nobody anymore. You're back here, as the CEO of the Reyes Group, more lives rely on you." Katerina tried to explain.

"Katerina, that's enough. You know you can't reason with him on this." Eric said gently as he held his girlfriend's hand.

"Fine." Katerina said, rolling her eyes as she tried to calm down.

As the food was being served Ian was suddenly startled by a message he read.

"They're going to announce it." Ian told Cedric.

"Who's going to announce what?" Alexi asked.

Ian went over to the TV in the dining room and switched it on.

It was a joint press conference by the fathers of Cedric's bullies. It seemed they had contacted the media only a few minutes before the press conference, but since what happened to their sons was such a hot topic everyone did their best to make it on time.

"Prior to the incident last night we had announced that we were disowning our legitimate heirs and naming new ones." Louie Sanchez said. "We are moving up our plans to announce the new heirs of our companies in order to make things clear and so that in the future there will be no war between our children. We would also like to let the public know that we do not condone the acts of our sons. We will not be posting bail or paying for any of their legal fees, what they did was wrong and there is no excuse for it."

Louie paused to make sure that everyone had caught what he had just said.

"As the CEO of King's Inc. I name my daughter, Tricia Sanchez as the next President of the company. She will also inherit all of my shares." Louie announced. "Tricia has been a model employee at our company for years and has contributed much more than her elder brother."
