Alexi smiled as he remembered his first rejection. He had left the hospital that day puzzled about why Jen would so easily say no to him. Most times women would say they had no interest in a playboy or they would at least be respectful, but Jen was different. She just ignored him.
"You look stupid." Katerina said as she popped up beside her brother.
"Shouldn't you be inside watching over your future sister-in-law?" Alexi asked as he continued to watch Jen at work.
"If you weren't rich and good looking most women would have filed a restraining order against you." Katerina said as she looked up at her brother, whose eyes had not left Jen.
"It's a good thing I'm rich and handsome then." Alexi said with a laugh. "Was your trip to Spain fruitful?"
"Not exactly." Katerina confessed. "We did get to spend time with Ace. So that was fun." She said with a grin.
"Katerina, I know you don't like Jen." Alexi said with a sigh.
"Wow, I guess I wasn't as obvious as I thought I was being." Katerina commented as she rolled her eyes at Alexi.
"Thank you." Alexi said with a laugh.
"Why are you thanking me this time? Don't get all sentimental on me brother." Katerina said with a grin.
"I know you. You could have gotten rid of her if you really didn't like her." Alexi said as he smiled at Katerina.
"I really don't like her Alexi." Katerina confessed with a sigh. "Something about her feels wrong, but since you love her, I will accept her."
"You are much nicer than how the world perceives you." Alexi told Katerina.
"I have to be tough Alexi. You know that." Katerina explained in a sad voice. "I should go back in now. Don't tell Nurse Jen about Miguel's accusations. It won't do you guys any good."
Before Alexi could say anything in response Katerina had already gone back into the VIP room.
Alexi smiled to himself and walked up Jen at the Nurse's station.
"What time do you get off?" Alexi asked Jen sweetly.
"In a few minutes, why?" Jen asked Alexi. She was clearly trying to be a little bit distant towards him since she was at work.
"I'll wait for you." Alexi said as he walked away.
"Sir, are we leaving?" Alexi's head bodyguard asked as he got into the elevator with Alexi.
"No, we'll wait for Jen. Make sure there are no prying eyes at the back entrance." Alexi instructed as the elevator descended to the lobby.
Alexi smile as he recalled how he chased Jen after that first rejection
Four years ago
"Hey beautiful." Alexi said as Jen suddenly jumped up in surprise as he was way too close to her.
"Can you please give me some space?" Jen said angrily as she walked off.
"It's been a month Nurse Jen. When will you give into my charms?" Alexi asked. This was the longest a woman had gone refusing him. Usually after a month of his charms they gave into what he wanted, them.

"Ugh, so annoying." Nurse Jen said as she quickened her pace.
"Just give me a chance, one night out. Let me change your mind." Alexi pleased as he grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her to him.
"Mr. Sebastian, have some decency." Nurse Jen scolded as she pushed him away.
"You know I can have Miguel fire you if you annoy me." Alexi said with a grin. He would never do that of course, but he thought it would be fun to threaten the new nurse.
"I would never do that." Miguel suddenly said, coming up from behind. "Let her go Alexi, she won't give in to you." Miguel said with a laugh.
Alexi was distracted by Miguel's sudden appearance giving Jen the chance to escape Alexi.
"Why do you have to ruin my chances Miguel?" Alexi groaned as he watched Jen run out of the building.
"Because you finally met a woman you want but won't let you have her." Miguel said as he too walked away. "Also, I'm not the one with the power to fire people, that's Nicole." Miguel said with a laugh as he left Alexi alone in the hallway.
Present Day
Alexi sat in his car as he watched Jen come out of the building. She had changed out of her nurse's uniform and was now wearing a short red dress. Alexi could feel himself hardening as he watched her run over to his car.
"You are stunning." Alexi said as he planted a chaste kiss on her lips. If it were up to him he would take things a little bit further, but he didn't want to ruin the moment.
"So what were you planning for us today?" Jen asked as she smiled at him.
"It's a surprise." Alexi said as he stepped on the gas and drove his car away from the hospital.
The place he had in mind was on the outskirts of the city. He had heard about it from a friend who had proposed there long ago. He wasn't going to make such a big step in their relationship, but he wanted to show Jen the beautiful hidden place that had been left in neglect.
He knew that Ram had recently purchased the property and had it restored to its original splendor.
After over two hours of driving they finally reached the spot. It was up on a mountain at a curve in the road, the only marker was a dimly lit parking area. There were no signages indicating anything else.
"We need to walk from here." Alexi announced as he helped Jen out of his car. As she stood before him, smiling, he felt like they were the only people in the world. Of course that was never true, from a young age Alexi had always been accompanied by bodyguards, nannies, and drivers. He lived a privileged life and he knew it. He was thankful for it, he saw how most people struggle just to make ends meet, but his own life was not without its own pains.
"Let's go." Alexi said as he pulled Jen towards a well hidden path that was illuminated by lanterns hanging from the trees.
They walked in silence as Alexi held Jen's hand, making sure that she didn't slip. At the end of the path they were greeted by a small wooden cottage that overlooked the whole Capital.
Jen gasped at the sight, it was beautiful.
"I wanted to show you this place. Isn't it beautiful." Alexi said as he led Jen towards a table prepared for them.
"How did you find this place?" Jen asked.
"Ram owns the property, Ray manages the restaurant. At the moment this place only accepts one group at a time, soon it will accept as much as ten. It's really a small property." Alexi explained.
"Alexi, why are we here?" Jen asked as she looked around at the romantic ambiance. "You know I'm not ready to commit." Jen said shyly.
"I know. We're actually here so that I could tell you about someone I once loved." Alexi said as he held Jen's hand tightly. "I hope you won't leave me because of this."
