When Cedric's plane landed, he and his friends got into their own cars and drove home. It had been an exhausting two days and many of them wanted to rest.
"Dave, what time does the dinner start tonight?" Cedric asked Dave who had come to meet them at the airport.
"7pm." Dave informed Cedric who simply nodded in reply.
"Mae, Ian, you can take the night off, I'm sure you guys are quite exhausted." Cedric said as he turned to face the other two.
"Nope, I'm going." Ian said, shaking his head. "It will already be odd that Camilla isn't there. People will talk if I'm not either."
"Mae?" Cedric asked the other assistant.
"I'll go too." Mae said. "I need to do something to keep my mind off of everything."
"I've arranged for the body to be stored for the meantime." Dave said, informing Mae. He had spoked to Ian before they had departed and arranged for everything.
Ian had told him about how Mae had formed a bond with the nurse who had died and how they would take him to see his family.
"Thank you." Mae told the other assistant with a weary look on her eyes.
"Go home, the both of you. Rest." Cedric told Mae and Ian.
"I've arranged a car to take you home Mae." Dave told Mae as he pointed to a simpler car that was waiting for her.
"What about mine?" Mae asked, she had parked it at the airport when she first left.
"I had someone take it home as soon as Ian called. I hope you don't mind." Dave said with a shrug.
"Of course not." Mae said.
"I also did something you will be pissed about." Dave said slowly as he looked at Mae as if he had done something really bad.
"What?" Mae asked, worried about what Dave had done.
"Well Ian was worried about you so I had your things moved to the residences." Dave confessed.
"You did what?!" Mae asked angrily. "You had no right!" She shouted.
"Mae, he was just worried." Ian said, siding with Dave.
"So all of my things were moved to the residences?" Mae asked Dave with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes." Dave said with a nod.
"Mae, this might be for the best." Cedric said, joining in on the conversation. "At the residences Dave is there, you won't be so alone."
"I like my old place, it was calming." Mae said with a frown.
"Dave, go with Mae." Cedric instructed. "I'll meet you guys at the hotel tonight. Just send me a message when I should head on over."
"Yes sir." Dave said with a nod as he pulled Mae towards the waiting car.
"Mae must be mad." Adrianna said with a sigh as Cedric closed the door behind him.
"I agree with Ian and Dave though. This is for the best." Cedric said as he leaned back on his seat. "Let's just get home and rest." Cedric said as he pulled his wife in his arms and rested his head on her shoulder.
"Cedric, what residences were they talking about?" Adrianna asked Cedric as she gave him a curious look.
"Ah, right. I've never brought you there or given you a tour." Cedric told his wife as he sat up.
"So it's a Reyes Group investment?" Adrianna asked.
"No, not exactly." Cedric said, shaking his head. "When I was still under poverty training, my dad decided to purchase a lavish residential building at the center of the city."
"Like Raja Tower where my Uncle Matthew, Herny, and Margarette live?" Adrianna asked as she remembered the expensive home her husband had provided for the remaining members of her family.
"Yes." Cedric said with a nod.
"Do you know about Solaire Towers?" Cedric asked his wife.
"Yeah, it's that ultra exclusive residences at the center of the city. No one knows how to get an apartment there, but I'm sure you do." Adrianna told her husband.
"Yup." Cedric said with a smile. "You need to ask me." He said with a laugh.
"Wait, what?" Adrianna asked, sitting up, making Cedric almost fall to the ground. "Oh, sorry." Adrianna said with a laugh as she saw that Cedric was clearly pissed off.
"Yes Adrianna, the Reyes Group owns Solaire Towers, and the notorious penthouse that no one had ever been able to view or enter was supposed to be my bachelor pad." Cedric said with a laugh.
"What do you mean?" Adrianna asked with a confused look on her face.
"Dad had the place built so that I would have somewhere to live if I came back unmarried." Cedric explained. "The two levels below the penthouse have four units, two on each floor, each were meant to be assigned to my staff of choice."
"Wait. Is that where Camilla lives?" Adrianna asked with a confused look on her face.
"Honey, not just Camilla." Cedric said, seemingly amused by his wife's expression.
"Who?" Adrianna asked, confused by what Cedric meant.
"Ian lived there before moving in with Nicole, Leon and Mia also lived there." Cedric said with a frown as he remembered Adrianna's poor bodyguard who had perished in the same incident as his mother.
"Wait, so now Camilla, Leon, Dave, and Mae all live there?" Adrianna asked.
"Yup." Cedric said with a nod. "Where did you think Leon lived?"
"I thought you had him set up at Mountain View." Adrianna said, scratching her head. "He has to travel so far everyday just to get to you."
"They like having their own space, Adri." Cedric said with a laugh.
"I really need a list of all of the properties you own." Adrianna teased.
"I've never given you a copy?" Cedric asked with a serious look on his face.
"No, and I was just joking. I don't need to know what you own." Adrianna said, shaking her head. "I've never been after your money, just you is enough." She said as she placed a hand on his cheek.
"Of course you've never been after my money." Cedric said with a laugh. "We got married with you thinking I had none." He teased his wife.
"Why do you have to ruin such a sweet moment." Adrianna complained as their car continued to drive through the streets of the capital, taking them home.
