Camilla quickly ran after Guan Ming, she didn't care if all of his employees saw her. She didn't care if she embarrassed herself in front of everyone. The only person that mattered was him, Guan Ming.
"Ming, please listen to me." Camilla called out as she searched for him.
From the corner of her eye she spotted him entering the dining room.
She didn't hesitate as she quickly followed him in.
"Ming, please let's talk about this, let me explain." She begged.
Guan Ming stood, facing the window that overlooked the city. Camilla always adored this view, it was her favorite in the whole suite.
From there she could not only see R Tower, but the beautiful old city behind it. She had always marveled at how the old and the new had interacted in the capital.
"What is there to talk about Camilla?" Guan Ming asked in a deep and sad voice. He didn't think he would break this way when he finally got to speak to her.
He walked over to the table and picked up a pack of cigarettes and placed a stick in his mouth. He didn't smoke it, he stopped when he met Camilla. She didn't like the smell of cigarette smoke.
"Aren't you going to light that?" Camilla asked as she pointed at the cigarette.
"Camilla, I haven't smoked since we first met." Guan Ming told her as he shook his head.
"Oh." She said as she turned around to look out the window.
"Camilla, I won't be a third party in your relationship with Lucius." Guan Ming said with a sigh. "I love you, I truly do, but I want to be with you the right way."
"I'm not in a relationship with Lucius Ting." Camilla explained as she finally got the chance to say something in a calm tone.
"Don't lie to me Camilla." Guan Ming said as he shook his head. "Your relationship with Lucius Ting is all over the news, why do you think I came?"
"And I'm telling you that's all a lie." Camilla said as she tried not to shout at Guan Ming.
For some reason he refused to believe her.
"Fine, I'll humor you." Guan Ming said with a cocky grin. "Are you pretending to be his girlfriend because he is secretly gay? Who is he really dating? Your friend Ian? That guy didn't seem gay the last time we met." Guan Ming said with a laugh.
"No, I did it for my boss." Camilla said with a frown. She knew it was a long shot but he had to believe her.
She jumped in surprise when Guan Ming suddenly laughed.
"Nice one, Camilla." He said as he shook his head. "I'm pretty sure Cedric isn't gay. He is obsessively in love with his wife."
"Of course Cedric isn't gay!" Camilla said as she laughed at the thought. Then it hit her.
She gave Guan Ming a confused look as he grinned at her.
"How do you know Cedric?" Camilla asked as she stared at him in surprise.
"Yep." Guan Ming said with a grin. "I met him the same day I met you. Kinda ditched him to hangout with you."
"So he knew this whole time!" Camilla shouted in disbelief.
"Knew that I loved you?" Guan Ming asked with a raised eyebrow.
"No, yes, I don't know, what does he know?" Camilla asked Guan Ming as she completely forgot the whole issue with Lucius Ting.
"He just knows that I'm here for someone I love, someone I have loved for a decade. He doesn't know it's you." Guan Ming explained with a shrug.
"Of course he didn't know." Camilla said as she paced across the room. "He is going to be furious when he finds out."
"Why?" Guan Ming asked.
"Well.. ." Camilla said as a worried expression crossed her face.
"Look, Camilla, I won't tell anyone, I swear." Guan Ming said as he walked up to her.
"Promise me you won't lose your temper." Camilla said in a shy tone as she looked up at him from her long dark lashes.
Guan Ming wrapped his arms around her and held her tight.
"Camilla, just tell me." Guan Ming told her in a low tone.
"I'm pretending to date Lucius Ting because I wanted to help Cedric with his plan to take Lucius Ting down." Camilla said in a rush as she began to worry about how he would react.
"WHAT?!" Guan Ming shouted as he made Camilla look him in the eyes. "He made you do this? He made you date someone you don't like? Did he force you Camilla?" Guan Ming asked.
He was clearly furious at Cedric, he had assumed that Cedric had convinced Camilla to pretend to date Lucius Ting.
"No, Ming, you have it all wrong." Camilla said as she shook her head. "It's not Cedric's plan, it's mine."
"What?!" Guan Ming asked in shock. "Camilla, why?" He asked.
Guan Ming was at a loss for words, he didn't know what he should say. He didn't want to drive Camilla away. He needed to watch his words and how he reacted.
"Cedric didn't know I was planning this, Ming I owe the Reyeses and the Sebastians, and basically their whole group my life." Camilla said as she desperately tried to get Guan Ming to realize that Cedric was innocent in all of this.
"What do you mean?" Guan Ming asked as he eyed her with suspicion.
"You've been out of my life for so long, Ming." Camilla said as she shook her head. "Just please, understand that me being with Lucius Ting is all fake and Cedric was just as shocked as you were when he found out."
"He should have stopped you." Guan Ming said as he shook his head. "The bastard should have stopped you from doing it."
"Don't you think he tried?" Camilla asked as she tried to calm Guan Ming down. "Ending my fake relationship with Lucius Ting will make things harder for me and for everyone."
"I'm calling the fucking asshole!" Guan Ming shouted as he took out his phone. "He should have found a fucking way." Guan Ming cursed as he dialed Cedric's number.
