"Julia, are you sure about that name?" Cedric asked over the phone.
"Cedric, it could just be a coincidence." Adrianna told her husband as she placed her hand on his. "The odds of Julia's husband being that Andrew Chan is unlikely."
"I still can't ignore it." Cedric said with a frown. "I need to talk to Ace. We need to find this man."
"He is probably going by a different name." Julia said with a sigh.
"Could he still be going by his old name? Aaron Ting?" Cedric asked.
"It's possible, that's how the Esteves Group found out about me." Julia admitted.
"I'll have someone look into it and I'll speak to the Esteves Group." Cedric informed Julia.
As much as he didn't want to get involved with Julia's matter, there was a small chance that it could be tied to his investigation.
"So I just wait?" Julia asked in an irritated tone.
"Yes, Julia. You sit and wait and don't do anything stupid." Cedric said in an angry tone. "We are helping you, don't forget that. Your husband doesn't seem to be interested in finding you. So you should cooperate."
Adrianna reached over and held Cedric's hand, rubbing it gently in an attempt to calm him down.
She could tell that if it weren't for her and those coincidences, Cedric would have long let Julia rot in whatever prison she was in.
"I'll give you an update next time you call." Adrianna told Julia as she attempted to defuse the situation.
"Alright, thanks." Julia said as she dropped the call, making Cedric even angrier.
"Rude bitch." Cedric cursed as he took out his phone and dialed a number. "I'm sorry, I know she is your friend but I really don't like her."
"I don't blame you." Adrianna said with a sigh as she leaned back and closed her eyes.
She didn't think that a conversation with one of her oldest friends could be so exhausting.
"Damnit." Cedric cursed as he pulled his phone away from his ear and began to type.
"What is it?" Adrianna asked her husband.
"I think Ace is in a meeting." Cedric said with a sigh. "I need to update him on what we found out. If my gut feel is correct and all of this is connected, then we have to get Julia out of there as soon as we can. It would be more dangerous for everyone if they knew that Aaron was Andrew Chan."
"I'll leave you to your work." Adrianna told her husband as she kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you Ced. You didn't have to do this for Julia, but you still did it because I asked."
"Adri, you've always known that your happiness and our childrens' happiness has always been my priority." Cedric pulled his wife on to his lap and held her tight. "This is how I want things to always be. Our family is happy and safe, even if the world around us is falling apart."
Adrianna leaned down and kissed her husband passionately. They held each other for a long time, savoring their moment together until Cedric's phone began to ring.
"I'm going to kill Ace!" Cedric hissed as he let his wife go.
"It's not his fault. You called him, so be nice." Adrianna warned as she gave her husband a wink and left the room.
Cedric shook his head and laughed at his wife's warning.
"Ace." Cedric said as he picked up the phone.
"Cousin, you called?" Ace asked. In the background Cedric could hear as multiple conversations raged on while his cousin spoke to him.
"Go somewhere private, I found something out." Cedric said.
"Alright, give me a minute." Ace said.
'Leave.' Cedric heard his cousin say in a commanding tone. He then heard chairs being pushed back as the people in the room did as Ace asked.
"Wow, you're becoming more and more of a tyrant boss everyday." Cedric teased his cousin.
"You actually saved me, I wanted that meeting to end, they just had so many issues and complaints." Ace grumbled. "So you have news?"
"Yeah, Adrianna and I just got off the phone with Julia, and I have a hunch that Julia's problem is connected to ours." Cedric informed Ace.
"Our Lucius Ting problem or our Andrew Chan problem?" Ace asked. "You know that Lucius has had several of his people sneaking around the vicinity of the building. I'm just pretending not to know."
"It's connected to Andrew Chan, and potentially to Dominic." Cedric told Ace. "For now, let Lucius Ting think he has the upper hand. We want him to be as confident as possible when Guan Ming finally takes him down."
"Okay, so what about Julia, Andrew Chan, and little Dominic?" Ace asked over the phone. "Oh, and before you say anything I found something out about Julia."
"You go first. This might be related." Cedric told his cousin.
"We found documents saying that Julia gave birth to a little boy in London a few years back. The name of the father and the child's name are missing for some reason." Ace explained. "We're trying to see why or how, but that's all we managed to get so far."
"Good job on that, and I think I can fill out those blanks." Cedric said with a grin. "This is why I think Julia is related to Dominic and Andrew Chan. Julia gave birth to little boy named Dominic Chan, she gave him away for adoption to a school in the capital."
"Dominic." Ace said with a gasp. "But I thought his parents died?"
"People tell lies, what are the odds that this is just another one?" Cedric asked his cousin. "I think Julia's father lied about the boy's death and instead left him at that school."
"The odds are against you on this Ced, but then sometimes, the unlikely things end up being the truth." Ace told his cousin over the phone as he pondered on the coincidence. "What do you plan on doing?"
"I want to convince both parties to have a DNA test done." Cedric informed Ace.
"Wait, both parties? He isn't related to Miguel and Veronica, why would you need a DNA test from them?" Ace was utterly confused by his cousin's words.
"That's the second part of what we found out, Julia's husband went by the name of Aaron Ting, but his real name was Andrew Chan." Cedric revealed to his cousin.
