"You suspect a mole?" Guan Ming asked Cedric the moment the door closed behind them and they were alone in Cedric's office.
"No, I don't." Cedric said as he shook his head and gestured for Guan Ming to take a seat. "Ian and the others will be here soon. I had them get you food, drink, and a nurse. A male nurse, we don't want Camilla getting jealous now, do we?" Cedric said with a chuckle as he teased the helpless Guan Ming.
"We both know Camilla is not like that." Guan Ming said as he rolled his eyes.
It may have been years since they last saw each other, but Guan Ming knew that kind of person Camilla was at heart.
"I know. I was just teasing you." Cedric said as he gave Guan Ming a kind smile.
"Ming." Ian greeted as soon as he entered the door. He was followed by two nurses and a doctor.
Mae and Dave also entered, Dave had a bag of clothes with him while Mae pushed a cart of food.
Cedric had made it a point to give Camilla a call and ask for Guan Ming's measurements as well as his favorite food. He knew that the man could use something comforting right now, what he had gone through was not easy, he didn't have the assurance that Cedric and the others would successfully save him.
He and his men were out in the open, vulnerable, outnumbered and outgunned.
"You asked Camilla?" Guan Ming said with a raised eyebrow as soon as he saw the food being served. "How considerate." He teased Cedric.
"I owe you at least this." Cedric responded with a shrug as he sat down across from his friend.
"Check him." Ian told the doctor and nurses, who quickly jumped into action making sure that Guan Ming was not injured.
"Ow!" Guan Ming said as he flinched.
The doctor frowned at his reaction, making Cedric sit up and lean forward.
"What happened, doc?" Cedric asked the man.
"It seems he had fractured his leg." The doctor informed Cedric. "We'll see to it and leave instructions with Mr. Lim."
"Thank you." Cedric said with a smile.
"That's odd, I didn't even notice I was hurt until now." Guan Ming told Cedric with a frown. He was somewhat frustrated that he didn't even feel the pain when he was walking.
"It's the adrenaline, Mr. Ming." The doctor explained to Guan Ming. "Situations such as these are known to happen."
"Thank you." Guan Ming told the doctor.
The doctor and nurses did a thorough check of Guan Ming and dressed several scratches on him. The only serious injury they had found was a fracture, all others would quickly heal.
When the doctor was done he placed a splint on Guan Ming's leg making sure that the man couldn't move it.
"We will need an x-ray to be sure that it isn't broken." The doctor told Cedric.

"I'm sure Nicole brought her own equipment to my place, thanks Doc." Cedric said with a nod as he let Dave lead the doctor and nurses out of the room.
"Your place?" Guan Ming asked, surprised that Cedric would take him to Mountain View.
He couldn't hide the fact that he was disappointed in Cedric. Guan Ming was hoping that after everything he had gone through, he would be able to spend time with his girlfriend.
"Relax, I saw your reaction." Cedric said as he picked up a cup of coffee from the table and grinned at Guan Ming. "I don't want to give my dad, my grandparents, and my aunt and uncle, the additional worry of you and Camilla. She's on her way to Mountain View as we speak."
Guan Ming wanted to jump for joy the moment he heard Cedric's good news. He knew there was still a possibility that he and Camilla could still be kept separate, but hearing from his friend that they wouldn't be kept apart anymore made Guan Ming happy.
"Thank you." Guan Ming told Cedric with a smile.
"As much as it would have been for the best to keep you apart, I don't think it would be right." Cedric said with a nod.
"So why the bodyguards in your own building?" Guan Ming asked as he began to eat the food in front of him.
"They are looking for bugs. Wu Jun was here this morning and he planted several listening devices." Cedric informed Guan Ming.
"What did he want?" Guan Ming asked.
"To shift sides." Cedric said plainly.
"That's bullshit and you know it." Guan Ming cursed loudly.
"Of course I do. I just need to know your plan so that we can get rid of that pest." Cedric told Guan Ming.
"I'll give you a list of names, if I can have them stay at Mountain View with us then I can have both Wu Jun's and Lucius Ting's companies collapse in a week." Guan Ming declared as a new fire burned in his eyes.
"Give them to Dave, he'll see to it." Cedric said with a nod as he took out his phone and asked Adrianna to have the staff prepare space for Guan Ming's men.
"I'll still need your help." Guan Ming reminded Cedric. "I can't do this alone."
"I know." Cedric said with a nod as he put down his phone, smiling at the last message he just read.
"Another kinky message from Adrianna?" Ian asked as he eyed the CEO suspiciously.
"No, but Nicole and the girls have found out how Lucius Ting is a member of the Chan family and I have the perfect plan to catch them all." Cedric said with a smile as the chips began to fall into place.
"Then we will need to act fast." Guan Ming said as quickly ate his food.
"Take your time Ming, you are useless if you are dead. Don't choke." Cedric teased as he laughed at his friend who slowed down and smiled.
They just needed to wait a little bit longer and this pest at their side would be gone.
For once it seemed that fate was in his favor.
