The crowd in front of Saints Hospital were so focused on the arrival of the Chan siblings, that they didn't notice two things going on behind their backs.

The first was Ian seaking in with two bodyguards right under their noses.

He casually walked in through the employee entrance as if no one was around.

Of course this didn't completely go unnoticed as there were some bystanders who recognized him and managed to snap a few photos.

Most of these bystanders would post their amature photos of Ian walking into the hospital while simultaneously making fun of the reporters for being too distracted to notice him.

Had they realized that Ian was right behind them, they would have easily been able to corner him and possibly get more answers. On the other hand they were quite cautious as they knew that he was also Cedric's right hand man.

At a more hidden area of the hospital, a simple car pulled up and a man that all media sources knew stepped out as he offered his hand for his girlfriend to hold.

"Are you sure about this?" His girlfriend looked around, making sure that no one could see them. She knew the implications if the announcement was made prematurely or if he changed his mind.

Her boyfriend smiled at her and offered her his arm.

"One hundred percent, it's time." Hand in hand they walked into the hospital as they made their way to the agreed upon meet up point.

The Chan family had set up an area to the side of the hospital where the press conference was to be held.

Saints Hospital was a very active and highly in demand hospital with patients and guests frequently coming in and out of the building.

The Chans did not want to disrupt the service being provided to the patients, so they tried to limit the inconvenience brought about by the press conference.

The security team of the Chan family did their best to keep the members of the media in the designated area, and for the most part the media complied. They all understood how vital Saints Hospital was to the people in and around the Capital.

They didn't have to wait long as Nicole, accompanied by Ian, Miguel, accompanied by Veronica, and their parents stepped out of the hospital.

Miguel had stood behind the podium, a move that caught the media by surprise.

The miracle doctor rarely spoke for the family when it came to matters like these. They had expected the father, Raphael, or even Nicole to speak, but not Miguel.

Unknown to them, Nicole was not happy with the decision to let Miguel speak. She had argued for days with her brother and Ian to let her be the one to speak for the family but they wouldn't allow it.

If she was attacked or angered it could risk her unborn child, especially since she was nearing her due date.

At first, Nicole would not let them win, but soon enough the two men managed to wear her down and she gave in.

She understood that they both had her best interest at heart, but she also wanted to show them that she was a strong woman.

"Even Veronica Abad is here." One reporter whispered to his companion as he pointed at Miguel Chan's wife, the scion of the wealthy and powerful Abad family that controlled and operated most of the country's mendia.

It was rare for Veronica to join the Chan family with matters such as these, but her presence was another well thought of symbolism coming from Cedric and the others. Her being there showed that the news about the old man was truly released by the Chan and Abad families.

It showed people that they were serious about allowing this matter to come to light and that it was not some mere accident.

After a few minutes, the crowd silenced without Miguel asking them to.

He scanned the crowd as he saw the eagerness in their eyes to hear what he had to say.

From the moment he landed all Miguel saw on social media was about his grandfather's arrest and all the speculations about it.

He knew that when he told everyone the truth it would be quite a lot for them to comprehend. The crime was one deeply significant to their nation's history.

"Thank you for coming." Miguel said as he cleared his throat and began his statement.

"I understand that you all have many questions, but I ask that you let me finish what I have to say." He requested, to which most of the media personnel nodded.

"My Grandfather, Gabriel Chan, the former CEO and President of Saints Hospital, a man hailed for his contribution to our country's medical field had indeed committed crimes against out nation and its people." Miguel paused as the people in front of him whispered among themselves.

Part of them still expected the Chans to deny the fact that the old man was indeed involved in any crime.

But the arrest and the subsequent media coverage told them otherwise.

"Etched in our history is the story of Mr. Chavez, one of the bravest men to have fought for our freedom in modern memory." Miguel saw as the crowd began to look at each other, confused as to the mention of the long dead hero.

"His death, one pronounced to be of natural causes, changed our history and furthered the tragic and dark times that our grandparents and parents had to suffer." People were now quickly jotting notes as they eagerly awaited what Miguel would say next.

"It is my regret to inform everyone here and to all those that will hear of this news from you that Mr. Chavez did not die of natural causes, but rather he had been murdered through a conspiracy." At Miguel's announcement the crowd began to erupt in chatter.

Suspicions began to fly as Miguel struggled to get their attention once again.

At this point, Ian stood up and placed a hand on Miguel's shoulder to offer his help.

"If you will not listen to my brother-in-law then you will probably not get the full story and will be fired." Ian announced with a cheeky smile.

His words worked and everyone turned their attention back to the stage and the media all remained silent.

"Thank you." Miguel said with a nod as Ian moved back to his spot where Nicole was glaring at him.

"My grandfather, murdered Mr. Chavez on the orders of the then dictator and his allies.." Miguel announced, once more sending shock waves across the nation.
