Chapter 10: Chapter 10 : Adapting

As Cain continued to kill the bandits many questions went through his mind such as

"Am I and these people of the same species ? , I can be even said as a anomaly brought into this world . I may look like them but fundamentally I am different , like a new creature brought into a new environment " Thought with a complicated look on his face as he fought.

"I do feel little bad as i kill them , but it is not much shocking . Maybe cause I think all creatures in this world fall into a category as inhabitants and me who came now . This also might be due to Primordial's Mind making me think this, well i need to confirm with the system later "Cain contemplated as he criticized himself .

As Cain fought with numerous bandits , without any protection of any kind . He understood many things , Firstly his hand to hand combat skills were great and it took him 2-3 three blows to kill a person. Second He couldn't avoid getting hurt as he didn't have any type of weapon to defend himself , even if it was one to one or around 10 members he could come out with less injuries . But fighting a large group he needed all the other skills so he can defend himself.

So as Veygo came to face him , Cain decided to use weapons and test them against so he took a sword lying on the ground and said to Veygo

"Ok , fine come"

Due to his Absolute Combat Mastery skill , he would have Master proficiency in all weapons . Thus , he gained swordsmanship mastery Master .

Veygo looking at that man in flames as those scars , cuts and stab wounds healed , he was terrified at the creature infront of him . Veygo knew he can't runaway , it was instinctual .His senses were telling him to avoid confrontation at any cost. Veygo utterly scared tried to speak

"Can you Please let me go" As he held his hammer infront of him as he was in a defensive position.

"Ok , but i need everything here" Cain said as he was pointing his sword at Veygo.

Veygo was visibly delighted hearing this , his expression looked like a man who had found water infront of him after suffering in desert . Veygo shouted

"YES!! YOU CAN HAVE IT !" Then he started to run away to from the camp , suddenly he felt someone grab his shoulder .As he turned to see the person grabbing his shoulder , he had cold sweat running down his face , tears started to form as he saw that person smiling at him like he used to smile at his victims. He shouted

"WHY WHY WHY !!! YOU SAID YOU'LL LET ME GO!!" looking at Veygo's terrified face Cain's smile grew wide like that of a Devil as he said in a soft tone

"I need some information , after that you can leave" hearing this Veygo calmed down a little and replied

"Ok, what do you need to know?" Cain to this replied

"Yeah , wait a minute " then Cain used flash step and lighted all the bodies of the bodies as he touched them , the bodies of these bandits started to burn like large campfires emanating heat to the surroundings . Cain then came back and told Veygo

"Tell me state of all three Kingdoms next to the forest , how is the distribution of strong people in the towns and cities , Which kingdom would be best for me to go and get a new identity ?" Veygo then started to tell all he knew about the three kingdoms.

Raventrix kingdom was a Beastmen supremacist kingdom , where other races wouldn't be treated well ,This kingdom worshiped Gaia the Primordial of matter.  The Kottar kingdom however was a neutral kingdom but had only humans in it's higher authority , so there was discrimination between the races but not as much as Raventrix kingdom , They worshipped Sophis the Primordial of life. Finally , The Wulfruric kingdom  didn't follow any religion and had beastmen royalty , but also had humans who were in nobility and didn't discriminate in any humanoid races , This was also the kingdom Veygo was from . He further told it would be easier to go and start anew in Wulfuric kingdom.

Cain then inquired about the currency used in these kingdoms and how much value each had , who was rich , how much currency was needed for a person to live luxuriously. How many A ranks and B ranks are there in each city and town? . Veygo was first confused as how can a person be so ignorant , but Veygo shook his head and started to tell this in detail to Cain . Night passed as Veygo explained everything in detail also how to get a fake identity , sneaking into kingdoms ,the strength of their armies , their influence and connections ,the black market and so on.

What Cain could take from this long talk was that all kingdoms in the world had a common currency Coltix , this was issued by the URF which can be used anywhere. But the common people used the currency of the specific country had issued as it was easily available to them and exchange rates would be confusing and also as it was accepted in the kingdom everywhere.

In The Wulfuric  Kingdom the currency was Welks , a person needed to have 100 Welks to have 3 meals a day , and the general poor person used to earn around 70 to 150 Welks per day . As for the distribution of strong people , generally from Mid sized towns they atleast had one B- rank and All head adventurer Guild  branches of a small region consisting a few towns and had a guild master of A Rank in the least , from mid- sized to large cities the A rank people would be around 8 to 15. Generally an A rank would be  would be around 35 to 45 years old , the younger one's are prodigies and would be recruited by nobles or the royal army or held top ranking positions.

Large cities had a few , of about 2 to 5 special rank people  who were lower level Expert ranks , The Capital would have 10- 15 Experts and 1-4  Peak ranks, in these kingdoms though this varied from other huge empires.

Cain was satisfied from the information he got , he decided to go to to the Wulfuric Kingdom to further improve . Veygo then felt it was time for him to get away ,just then he heard a voice

"Wait , Fight me " Cain spoke as he pointed the ragged sword at Veygo . Veygo Shouted

"YOU SAID YOU'LL LET ME GO!!"  in a face filled with despair.

"No no , just fight me . If I feel satisfied I'll let you go" hearing this from Cain , Veygo couldn't understand . Cain's face didn't show any smile , he just looked like a person who wanted to fight . Seeing this Veygo firmed his grip around his and putting his hammer on his shoulder  and bashed towards Cain.

Cain moved slightly and redirected veygo's hammer as bash it onto cain's head and for a several minutes Cain only defended without moving much . After this Cain started to Attack , for first few seconds Veygo could defend after that cuts and stabs appeared on his body . Cain used mana manipulation to cover the ragged sword with his mana making it sharper and firmer. Veygo was slowly weakening but desperately weakening . Finally Cain tried and enveloped his sword with Hellfire and slashed Veygo , Veygo started to burn profusely shouting and rolling on the ground  as he shouted

"WHY WHY WHY !!!" Looking at Veygo in a pitiful gaze Cain spoke

"Well you were also there when I told i need everything here so i took it . Well you were also a good sparring partner to gauge myself " As Cain spoke the sword in his hand began to melt and started to drip metal on the ground looking at this.

"Well  , I guess i need a good sword where i can envelope it in Hellfire" Spoke as Cain as Veygo's voice died down and he burned to a crisp to where very little of his ashes remained.

"Hmm , let's see what else this camp has . let's take all the stuff which looks useful and burn the rest"  Cain said as he moved to the different tents in the camp
