I know what you are thinking.
"Greatest story of all time? Conceited much?"
While I don't think I have come up with the greatest story of all the time, the narrator - whoever they are - does. I hoped that you caught from the synopsis and narrator's note that this isn't the main story I want to tell. I may not be the narrator, but we do share a similar sentiment: neither of us feel ready to tell the bigger story, at least not yet.
This story serves as an introduction to the greater one, it will supply some context to the greater story, whenever that might come out. That does not mean that I am not giving this story my all though, I think I have weaved a fairly decent tale in me head, all that is left is to see whether I can tell it.
The truth is I don't consider myself a wizard with words, in fact, for most of my life I hated English class. I did have a passion for reading but that wilted away with time like it does for so many people. I am trying to get back into it, to expand my knowledge and by vocabulary because one solemn day, an idea popped into my head. An idea that I could not get rid of, it was like a boomerang - it just kept coming back. This idea continued to grow and fester in my mind for two years, turning into something much bigger than I am, and a lot more complicated.
I eventually decided that I had to write this story down, but I am far from ready to take on such an endeavor. With school and work munching away at my time, I barely have time to read much less write. But one day I shall finally have the time, focus and skill set to tell the story I want to tell, and until then you are stuck with the bits and pieces that I am willing to make coherent.
I shall try and release chapters regularly, but like many of you reading this, I react best to positive feedback. Seeing even a single view on this will catapult my ambition because having someone view your work and tell you its not complete garbage is all the motivation you need sometimes. I suppose this is my way of saying thank you for reading my incomplete, story that's part of a bigger story that might not even see the light of day. It genuinely means a lot, and any feedback is welcomed (I will regret saying that wouldn't I), after all, this is the first story I am releasing to the netherworld that is the internet.
Hope you enjoyed it and stay tuned for more, or you can just stop, there are no rules that say you have to keep reading after all.
