Noah knew what all the different acts of his uniqueness did. It was strange how he knew this information all of a sudden. It was like a forgotten memory that had been jogged through déjà vu. Something that had always been there.
The first act allowed Noah to make circles, the circles made from this ability consist of illusory symbols, glyphs and words that constantly change. These circles can be imbued with certain effects, some effects are weaker than others but the circles excel in effects that either enhance or suppress things in general. The circles also excel in effects that reverse the nature of things, other effects like fire, lighting, wind and many others are much weaker to the point that they can’t really do harm except in certain situations. Noah can fuse these circles onto objects or tuings in order to apply the imbued effects onto them those objects of things
The second act let Noah see through chaos and disorder. With this he could decipher any code, this also gave Noah the ability to see through any lie or form of deceit. This ability had a condition though, that condition being that the lie or deceit being done would lead to any form of disorder or chaos. This act also allowed Noah to turn his body into illusory floating words, symbols, and patterns that constantly jumble up into some kind of cipher, people are unable to think for a few seconds when they glance at this cipher. When Noah is in this state he is able to travel at fast speeds and his body becomes none-tangible, thus becoming untouchable. In this form Noah also can’t touch physical things. The last thing Noah could do with the second act was momentarily create chaos by splitting off parts of his body, these body parts crumble into an illusory ciphers that fuse with the surrounding void, all rules of nature in the affected area are mixed and become disorderly.
The last act, the third act, gave Noah the ability to bring back any weapon he’d ever used under the condition that he'd used that weapon to cause any form of chaos at least once in the past. The weapon brought back wouldn’t be the exact same weapon but a replica born from chaos. This would lead to the weapon having a random effect to it, these random effects could even harm Noah himself. By using his second act he could sort of mitigate this drawback but the effectiveness would vary.
Noah smiled, his uniqueness would help him get his revenge. Not only that, it also increased his chances of surviving, for some reason he felt reassured. Perhaps he wanted to live through all of this and start fresh. Noah couldn’t help but think back to a few hours ago, before he passed out. What exactly was taking place here? What caused those strange things to happen and how come they made him realize his uniqueness? Noah had heard of people realizing their uniqueness, to most of them though it was like having a memory jogged but what had happened to Noah was a little bit more exaggerated and definitely abnormal compared to others.
For some reason Noah kind of missed that chaos he’d gone through. At first it was very scary and bizarre but once you got used to it, it was kind of fun and exciting. He didn’t have to do the same thing over and again, he got to do all kinds of things, experience being all kinds of things. When Noah thought back, he felt a Little bit melancholic.
Noah sighed, there was a lot he needed to learn. This place he grew up in was very small, the world was very big, perhaps he shouldn’t use the few instances of people realizing their uniqueness to judge his experience. Maybe somewhere out there someone experienced something even more bizarre.
Noah got up, he still had things to do. He wanted to test out his abilities and get a little bit of practice before trying to take down Zeke. Now that he had this, he knew he could use it to accomplish his goal with way less risk. So he decided to reschedule his meeting with Zeke to a later date. For now he needed to get used to his uniqueness, just because he knew what his abilities could do didn’t mean he had experience using them.
So Noah started heading back to the abandoned house, he would sleep for the last few hours of the night and get up early the morning to start practicing. When Noah reached the old building though, he couldn’t help but experiment. Noah created many circles, he made these circles fuse with him, he had imbued these circles with a reversal effect. He had reversed his gravity, Noah knew how dangerous this might be so he was ready to quickly cancel the ability if things went wrong. When the circles completely merged with Noah, he started falling upwards, thankfully he was inside the old building so he landed on the ccieling. He had a rough landing but he figured it was okay since it was his first time doing this.
Even though his gravity was reversed, Noah’s perspective still felt weird, he felt that he was upside down so he made another circle which was imbued with another reversal effect. He reversed his point of view. Now down was up and up was down. His perspective didn’t feel weird anymore and everything felt normal as if he wasn’t standing upside down on the ceiling . Noah quickly changed his perspective and gravity to normal before once again reversing both of them.
This time he reversed both gravity and viewpoint, this made the transition much smoother and less disorienting. Noah wanted to experiment more but he stopped himself, it was so hard though because all his being wanted to keep experimenting, this was fun, chaotic but very exciting. Noah hadn’t felt like this in a very very long time.
Noah, with much difficulty, managed to stifle his excitement and went to sleep. When he woke up, he felt hungry so he got up, stretched and went to get the bread he’d stored. He took a bite, the bread was stale as expected but this wasn’t so bad, it was better than having no food. Noah still had three loaves of bread left but he felt that he should probably get more food later in case he ran out.
Noah exited the old building, he was practically rushing to the old trash pile, the place he planned on experimenting. The trash pile, as people here called it, is where most of the trash was sent to. People had to stop using it because there was no more space hence why it was called the “old” trash pile now. Noah knew this place didn’t have any people, plus, unlike the old house the trash pile had a bunch of materials Noah could use to experiment with his abilities.
When Noah arrived at the trash pile it was quite different from how he remembered. The place was now infested with way more garbage compared to a few years ago. Noah avoided the nastiest looking places because he knew they had the potential to cause problems.
Moments later Noah was able to find a decently clean place filled with all kinds of objects he could use to experiment with. The exitment he felt last night returned, all kinds of things he wanted to try poped up in his head. First he used his ability to suppress things by using the circles. He used them to suppress the odor in the area and it worked. It didn’t completely get rid of it but it did significantly decrease the stench. These circles were really interesting. Not only were they a part of Noah, they also fused with whatever Noah wanted to apply their effects to. Whether that was the surrounding area, like when he suppressed the stench or an item. The circles could even fuse with gravity, it made Noah wonder what the limit to this ability was. Could he use them to reverse the gravity all around him instead of just his own gravity? He didn’t dare try, afraid of the consequences but a large part of Noah really did wonder and really wanted to try it out.
Noah tried to reverse the gravity of a wheel that was strewn on the ground. He heard a voice, a familiar voice.
“You know, this place does lose its familiarity when its natural scent is greatly diminished.”
“Rulee?” Noah question
“Yep, that’s me. Heard you’ve been having a hard time lately, how are you holding up?”
“… i'm doing alright. I’m guessing Irma is the one that sent you.”
“She didn’t, I just happen to be here, you know how much I love places like this, it’s much more comfortable compared to most places.” Rulee was very strange. He always liked to live in very unconventional places like this trash pile, he didn’t really live in those places, more like lingered. Rulee was really weird, much weirder even compared to the foreigners.
“Do you plan on staying here?” Noah asked.
“i did, but not any longer. This place is way too comfortable now. The odor being suppressed really ruined the place.” So he did know, Noah cursed. He should have been more careful. Noah wasn’t too worried though because Rulee liked keeping secrets and for some reason Noah belived Rulee could keep his secret. Noah wasn’t worried about Salass knowing. The man always made sure anyone with a powerful uniqueness was dealt with.
“Since you know my secret, how about you reveal some of yours. It would help ease my worry a little bit.” Noah said.
“Secrets? What secrets could I possibly have?” Noah knew that Rulee wouldn’t tell him secrets that he had about others but perhaps he had a chance of knowing secrets about Rulee himself.
“You should tell me what your uniqueness is or maybe reveal who you really are.” Rulee always claimed to be a traveler who went around the world in Pursuit of knowledge but sometimes Noah doubted that he was just a mere traveler.
Rulee had an air to him, he tried hard to conceal it which worked on most people but Noah knew something was up with this man, he just didn’t know what. The fact that Rulee had appeared one day out of nowhere added to Noah’s suspicion. He wasn’t worried that Rulee worked for Salass, the man never seemed to take sides. He was always mutal, he was familiar with everyone here. Whether that was Salass’s men or the people who lived here.
“Where I'm from, people aren’t unique and I can’t tell you who I really am but I have a premonition that you’ll know one day.” His people aren’t unique? It was common knowledge that everyone had a uniqueness.

“Your people Aren’t unique? Do you mean to say they haven't unlocked it?”
“No, my people are completely without uniqueness.”
Was Rulee lying? The man seemed adamant about his response so Noah didn’t bother questioning him. How did Rulee perform those magic tricks then? They were too real to be just magic tricks. The only thing that could explain it was uniqueness. Noah had doubts about what Rulee was saying but he kept them to the back of his mind
Noah sighed, “it was good to see you again Rulee. I’ll be on my way now.”
“It was good to see you too… who gave you that knife anyway?” Noah had forgotten that he’d brought the knife with him.
“Dark skinned guy, lean build and he wears a fancy suit. Oh, he also carries an umbrella around.” Noah said while turning around to leave.
“Did he give it to you as a gift?.” Rulee asked.
Noah turned around abruptly. “You know him?”
“Kind of. I haven't seen him in a very long time though. The last time I saw him was when he gave me a gift.” Rulee said solemnly.
“What did he gift you? Was it a weapon?” Noah asked. He was now cursious about the man. Did he go around giving people gifts? Did he give similar gifts?
“No, it wasn’t a weapon. The gift he gave me were words, words that I knew but needed to hear from someone else.”
Rulee now spoke with melancholy.
Noah knew when not to ask questions. So he kept himself from blurting them out.
“Words… I didn’t know words could be considered as gifts. It’s Kind of reassuring knowing I’m not the only one. Anway I’ll get going.” Noah didn’t want anyone seeing what his uniqueness allowed him to do, even Rulee who already saw, he didn’t completely see everything so Noah still had some secrets to keep.
“You wanna learn to use that knife?”
Rulee asked Noah as he turned around trying to leave.
“What can you possibly teach me Rulee. I don’t remember you knowing anything about combat.”
“I might not show it but I’m quite experienced, in fact where I’m from, I was considered to be amongst the strongest of fighters.” Noah decided to take Rulee’s words with a grain of salt. Why would someone strong stay in a place like this?
“What do you gain from teaching me? I don’t remember you ever teaching for free.”
“I’ll gain something very valuable from teaching you. You just won't know what it is.” Rulee said.
“Will you gaining this “valuable” thing cause problems for me?” Noah asked, he already knew the answer but he wanted to make sure. He needed confirmation.
“No it won’t, it’ll only be garbage in your hands, to me though, there is always value in trash.”
Noah contemplated, he planned to kill Zeke but he had no combat experience. Learning from Rulee was worth a try, maybe he might learn something from this strange man. Weirdly Rulee, from what Noah had seen was a very good teacher. Maybe the part about being a pursuer of knowledge wasn’t a lie.
“Alright, I’ll let you teach me under the condition that you never tell anyone about my secret.”
Rulee shrugged. “Sure, I don’t mind.”
The man seemed determined to teach Noah. Perhaps Noah underestimated what Rulee would get in turn. What ever he was going to get in return wouldn’t hinder Noah so he decided to go with it.
“Alright so where do we start?” Noah asked, slightly eager.
Rulee smiled, pleased for some reason. It was almost like he’d been waiting for this moment for a long time.
“Let’s start out with something fundamental. Let’s see… how about I start out by teaching you what decides the outcome of fights most of the time.”
