Because Dyne was using the dark powers to cloak himself, the assassin and the swift blade didn’t sense Dyne, who was peeking at the two.
“An assassin attempts to kill my employer. Of course, it’s my business. Nabal is a well-respected merchant of this kingdom, you know?”
“Well respected? He stole everything from me! My father's legacy weapon, which he crafted, was stolen and killed every last member of my family to silence us all! If this is how the kingdom earns its weapons, then I will burn this kingdom to the ground!” The woman declared as she began to bring out several small daggers and threw them at the swift blade.
TING! TING! TING! The swift blade casually blocked all the attacks as he sneered and slowly approached the girl.
“Oh… So that’s why I saw her destiny to walk in darkness.” Dyne realized as he watched the fight begin.
“Her heart is so full of vengeance that she wants to destroy everything. You mistook it for pure wickedness. That was a good thing.” Strafe laughed.
“What mistook? I knew at the very start that it was something like this. That’s why I hesitated and didn’t kill her!”
“So it had nothing to do with her beauty? She looks like her, you know? Arya Blaze… Your high school crush.” Strafe laughed.
“N-No! She doesn’t…” Dyne was turning red.
“How are we going to help her? That swift blade is on the second level of the martial formation. And that girl just reached martial formation but couldn’t even be considered to be level one yet!” Jedo gauged the power of the two.
“Don’t sweat it. My stats may not be at their level yet, but I can wound them with the right moves.” Dyne smiled.
The Swift Blade began to make his move as he dashed and slashed at the assassin. The assassin barely dodged the slicing attacks by rolling to the sides. She took out another set of small knives and hurled it at the Swift Blade.
The Swift Blade laughed and slashed away and ran towards the assassin.
Dyne finally made his move.
“Assassin, I’ll help you! Die!” Dyne threw two things in succession. The first was Grim, who was now in Scythe form. Grim boomeranged towards the Swift Blade, who quickly slashed to throw Grim back. The second that Dyne threw was the body of Nabal, which appeared to have rushed at the Swift Blade with great courage.
The Swift Blade swiftly sliced and hacked the body of Nabal and continued his rush towards the assassin.
The assassin jumped back and had a strange expression on her face.
“You killed… Nabal?” She asked as she retreated.
“What?” The Swift Blade suddenly realized it. The person he hacked had a very familiar attire.
He took a look and noticed the dead body of Nabal.
“Ha Ha Ha Ha!” Dyne slowly revealed himself.
“A bodyguard killing his boss! This is rich! Assassin, is this the keepsake of your father?” Dyne raised the Flamberge that he had just received and channeled the fire energy through it.
The sword was burning and glowing in a deep red shade of fire.
Dyne stood up with an arrogant expression as he looked at the Swift Blade.
The Swift Blade and the assassin was staring at the sword in great shock.
The Swift Blade knew the capabilities of the sword. It would release a small fiery burst on impact. But now, the sword was burning with great heat. The heat was so intense that the Swift Blade yearned to get the sword for himself.
The assassin also knew what this sword could do. It never had that capability before.
“I have a grudge with Nabal and that Swift Blade. Assassin, let us fight together! The spirit of your father burns in vengeance and wishes to kill this Swift Blade personally!” Dyne smiled as he walked toward the assassin.
Dyne stood side-by-side next to the assassin as he faced the Swift Blade.
The Swift Blade frowned as he looked at Dyne. This person was clearly at the seventh level of Martial Advent. But even Nabal was at the Martial Novice stage. It made no sense how this assassin killed him so easily!
“When I say attack, we attack, Assassin.” Dyne pointed his sword towards the Swift Blade.
“Hmph! Regardless of how you killed Nabal, both of you are weak! I will kill you and get that sword for myse-”
BOOM!
Grim had finished its fiery charge. Dyne intentionally channeled the fire energy to mask the sizzling sounds of the Gimard drawing power. Dyne even used Brimstone to exaggerate the sounds.
Dyne positioned himself next to the Assassin since Grim would attack the back of the Swift Blade.
The explosion resounded and sent the swift blade hurling towards Dyne and the Assassin.
“Attack!” Dyne shouted.
He brandished his sword and applied the full spirit attack on the Flamberge. With Dyne’s base strength stat of 109, added with the power of the Flamberge, Dyne delivered a powerful upward slash.
The blood of the knight splattered upwards, but as expected of a knight, his body was resilient and didn’t get hacked into pieces by Dyne's slash.
But the upward strike gave time for the assassin to move as she revealed a pair of small swords and began slashing at the mid-air enemy.
She aimed at the vital spots, and when the Swift Blade fell down, he was already dead.
The assassin quickly turned around to search for the object that exploded behind the Swift Blade. She could have sworn that the scythe which she saw earlier attacked the Swift Blade on its own. But the scythe was gone!

Dyne held the sword up and stabbed it on the floor. He then approached and took away Nabal’s body and the Swift Blade’s body.
The assassin was amazed at what she saw.
“I thank you, friend, for helping me slay Nabal and this evil swordsman.”
“You have executed vengeance and have slain your enemy? What is next for you?” Dyne asked.
The woman was startled at Dyne’s question.
“I have lived and trained to kill him. I have no other purpose. I shall die and accompany my family in peace.”
“I reject it.” Dyne shook his head.
“I killed your enemies. When you came in here, you only fought two guards. Who do you think took care of the rest?” Dyne asked and suddenly summoned the dead bodies of the guards he killed to show them to her.
The assassin was shocked at what she saw.
The bodies immediately disappeared.
“That swordsman alone could have easily killed you. The way I see it, you owe me your gratitude. And since you see that you yourself should die, then offer me your life!” Dyne waved his hands, and the sword that he stabbed on the ground also disappeared.
Dyne began to move towards the attic room.
The woman was confused at first but decided to follow.
“Your vengeance alone isn’t complete. The kingdom did not harm your father. The Serpentari did. This merchant was among their supporters.” Dyne said as he reached the attic room and went for the window.
“Give me your life! Not only will I promise to kill the Serpentari, but I will make your father's legacy known! Be my shadow, and I promise you, I will be your light!” Dyne said as his eyes which were now harnessing brimstone energy to give the cool, red-eyed effect, glanced directly at her.
The woman fell to her knees.
“I, Arya, last living member of the Blaze clan, offer my life to you!” She pledged.
“What the fragment?!” Dyne cursed out as he heard her name.
“Mother fragment of fragmentation!” Strafe also cursed out.
Jedo was disgusted at the vulgar words that Strafe stated.
“This is Tieg?” He secretly thought to himself.
“How is this possible? She has the same name?” Strafe was amazed.
“Is this… destiny?” Dyne wondered.
“Master Dyne… Don’t you have… Rena?” Jedo asked slowly.
“My Lord?” The woman called out to Dyne.
Dyne suddenly heard a commotion. He had immediately led the assassin to the attic to escape.
“We-we’ll talk about it later. Let’s escape for now.” Dyne immediately tossed Grim out, and like a faithful grappling hook, it stuck to the other building.
Dyne held Arya by the hand to stand and very shyly pulled her closer.
“Erm… just… Hold on… Arya. We have to escape.”
“As you order.” Arya held onto Dyne as she understood the plan.
And just like that, the pair disappeared.
The soldiers arrived, and while they found blood, the missing merchant Nabal brought another panic all over the kingdom.
Meanwhile, in a secret room somewhere, King Ciroel’s expression was shocked.
Bishop Chrone had shown the power of the Spirit Stone and even transformed into an ape-like creature.
“If it weren’t for the mysterious powers of this Dyne Valliant, I’m afraid I would have betrayed you and aided in your death.” Chrone declared.
The nearby Warriors, Sorcerers, Cardinals, and top advisers of the King were also shocked at the tale.
“Please believe him.” Jaden finally removed his helmet.
“Jaden!”
“My son!” The King trembled.
“Master Dine said that it is still possible to save my brother. My King… Please follow the plan!” Jaden urged.
