The Mist grew thicker and thicker, but luckily, apart from becoming more aggressive than normal, Brod and Number 2 could easily follow. Bertugo and Number 1 were not affected by the Mist.
This caused Dyne to marvel and wonder just what souls resided in Bertugo and Number 1.
Under the illusion that a Gomboo, a Gobu Gobu, and two Slimes traveled, all the wild Gobu Gobu’s near Drake Castle ignored this group. Many assumed that this was a newly formed tribe out to hunt Gimards.
The breeze that came from Rim Elm was no longer effective in the area where Dyne was.
The Mist blew from the direction of the seas and towards Drake Castle. Dyne could now understand how Rim Elm survived despite the very bleak situation. The wind would blow and give the Hunters a clear path to the Hunter Springs. Since there were two mountains near Rim Elm, the path of the North-blowing wind was weak.
Dyne decided to scout around the area and move in silence. This time, he went with Brod and Number 2. Bertugo and Number 1 would move at the direction that Dyne commanded.
With Bertugo leading the way, the Gobu Gobus, slimes, and the rest would constantly retreat. Using the Golden Compass allowed Dyne to travel unnoticed.
Dyne moved a bit to the west.
“No wonder the Gobu Gobu’s on the mountain Hunter Springs couldn’t tell if the wind was blowing. The mountain where I met Gobu Gobu blocked the breeze.” Dyne took a mental note. He knew the game's map and could easily understand how Strafe’s preparation made it so that the Hunters could survive.
The number of Gobu Gobu’s around the area grew more and more. Many had Slimes with them and would search the place to look for Gimards.
“So this is the hunting grounds of the Gobu Gobu.” Dyne gazed at the area before him. He knew that Drake castle would be near.
He saw young Gimards heading out and fighting.
“It looks like even the Gimards have some form of teams as well...” Dyne noticed it.
“Bertugo, Brod. Is there a Gimard that can fight a Gomboo?” Dyne immediately asked.
The two glanced at each other as Bertugo explained it to Brod.
Brod nodded. But even before Brod could answer, Bertugo already gave his answer.
“Pugak Langgak Gimard.”
“Pulang Gimard? Red Gimard...” Dyne deciphered Bertugo’s answer.
“I see. A Level 2 Gimard. So... There is a Level 2 Gimard in Drake, huh? Make sense. The Mist maddens the Gimards, but it did not say that they were robbed of their intelligence.
“Then, if this is the case, there has to be some form of ecology that maintained this. What exactly do Serus need?” Dyne pondered.
“Bertugo. You need to head north. Follow the river until you reach Drake Castle. I’ll be taking Brod and Number 2, and we will go ahead. I doubt any Gimards or Gobu Gobu would try to attack you. Try to level up on the way as well.” Dyne gave his orders.
Bertugo tilted his head as he couldn’t understand most of what Dyne said.
Dyne sighed and began to speak in Bertugo’s tongue.
After making the arrangements, Dyne took Brod and Number 2 and began to move right in the Mist.
Dyne continued to run and run and allowed the Spirit energy in him to remain.
As long as there was Spirit energy, Dyne noticed that his stamina would quickly recover. He realized that even compared to his peak human training. He could now run three times longer than he once could.
As he ran, he used the Golden Amulet to cloak himself and run around and ignore many monsters.
But in this open field, some places had more than three different pairs of Gobu Gobu or Gobu Gobu, and Slimes stood by. Some were even with Evil Flys. They were all within a nearby range that attacking one would reveal his cloak.
A group finally noticed Dyne, and the cloak was not able to hide them. A pair of Gobu Gobu rushed towards them angrily.
“Brod. Paggak sagak bigak kogak Hit, Sakgak sakgak ingak mogak ligak kodgak!” Dyne then motioned for Brod to move behind him.
The confused Brod followed but was unsure of Dyne’s instructions.
Dyne ran faster and faster. The Gobu Gobu on the front rushed towards Dyne and was about to hit him.
Dyne then used a powerful Spirit explosion on his legs, which caused him to dash faster on the last second.
“Hit!” Dyne gave the command.
Dyne used his small body to slide under the Gobu Gobu at the last possible moment.
The Gobu Gobu was startled and tried to attack Dyne with his thrust but missed.
Brod, who was behind, finally understood Dyne’s orders. Dyne ordered him to stab his back. But when Dyne moved, he was no longer there but the Gobu Gobu.
As he was already prepared when Dyne shouted hit, it wasn’t a split second when Dyne slid down that he sent out a stab and pierced through the skull of the Gobu Gobu.
Dyne, who made an evasive dash under the legs of the Gobu Gobu, surprised the other Gobu Gobu at the back.

Dyne then delivered a powerful upward kick as he sprang up from his crouching position.
The kick jolted the Gobu Gobu upwards, but Dyne continued and delivered another low kick.
The Spirit energy that Dyne built up exploded once more, and Dyne did a Somersault that sent the Gobu Gobu flying in the air.
“Brod! Kill!” Dyne shouted as he pointed to the remaining Gobu Gobu.
Brod learned what kill meant by instinct and ran towards the remaining Gobu Gobu and stabbed it on its head.
Number 2 did what Dyne told Brod that it should do.
It immediately took the body of the dead Gobu Gobus, and the trio rushed away.
The surrounding enemies noticed it, and it ran towards Dyne’s group. The dead made the surrounding monsters greedy, and it ran towards it.
Dyne and his three ran when suddenly, he saw bright yellow flames appearing in the middle of the thick Mist.
“Gimards!” Dyne cursed as he led his team to evade the coming fireballs.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Several explosions occurred, but as the dust faded, the Gimards that mysteriously appeared could not find Dyne and his team.
Dyne had immediately used the Chicken King, and they began to move.
The mysterious powers of the Chicken King gave the group a strange ability that each of their steps allowed them to move as if they had taken five steps!
It was as if the Earth itself moved according to their direction.
This was the first time that Dyne truly wanted to run away in battle.
His goal was to get to Drake Castle, and he didn’t want to fight the monsters around them.
As such, Dyne and his group were able to flee with haste. For several seconds, they moved with such amazing speed and managed to get out of the range of which the Gimards could sense them.
Dyne was amazed as the group slowly decreased their speed and reached a place with no enemies.
“That was amazing! This Chicken King has such great power! But I can only activate it if I really want to flee...” Dyne sighed.
“Go ahead and absorb,” Dyne called out and allowed Number 2 and Brod to absorb the gold drops of the monster. Dyne took five gold coins this time, giving the rest ten gold coins worth of experience for the monsters to absorb.
The pair finished absorbing, and Number 2 ate the remaining monsters.
“Hmmm... It looks like you need to eat more monsters in order to reach Number 1’s level...” Dyne sighed. Number 2 ate a lot, but his slime color remained the same.
“If Number 1 and Bertugo was able to grow stronger and evolve because of the Genesis Tree... Then that means you two must need to absorb some Soul?” Dyne pondered.
Finally, Dyne sighed.
“I guess the only way is for you to experience the same thing that they did. Don’t worry! We’ll have a Genesis Tree soon.” Dyne smiled.
As the group was ready, Dyne changed tactics. The quick sprint he did under the Chicken King's effect allowed them to move around ten minutes' worth of sprint.
“Let’s use this!” Dyne smiled.
The group continued to move in the direction towards Drake Castle.
Although the place was mistier, Dyne could still make out the mountains from afar and tell the general direction of Drake Castle.
However, when Dyne finds an enemy this time, be it Gimard or Gubo Gobu, Dyne no longer avoided them.
Instead, he would rush towards them and ambush them with the Golden Compass.
Once the attack would be made, Dyne would then retreat and activate the Chicken King.
He would move at a tremendously fast speed, but he would move towards another enemy this time.
When Dyne would be twenty meters near another enemy, the Chicken King’s effect disappeared. But Dyne used the speed of his sprint and charged towards the enemy and performed another attack.
After delivering the attack, Dyne wouldn't stop but continue his run.
The Chicken King's ability would then appear and grant them the speed to move fast once more. And like this, Dyne managed to chain a hit-and-run and move more than a kilometer’s worth under a single minute.
Dyne continued this momentum and soon reached Drake Castle.
