Chapter 51 The old man has a strong desire to win

After reading the script of the first act, it was time for presentation and discussion.

The knight commander organized everyone to tell his story, then took out a fragment of the map and handed it to Mo Han who was sitting on his right.

“This is a flat map of the old castle, please read it carefully.”

Mo Han was the first to get the map and looked at it for a while. Lang Zhuoyu didn’t have time to wait, so he leaned over to look at it.

Maybe students were naturally sensitive to a teacher’s eyes, so Mo Han couldn’t stand it when Lang Zhuoyu was staring at him. He didn’t look at it at all, handed the map directly to Lang Zhuoyu, and said with a smile, “Teacher Lang, look at it.”

Lang Zhuoyu didn’t refuse, smiled at him, took the map and looked at it. He even started writing and drawing on white paper. Mo Han didn’t even know what was there to take notes on.

However, Lang Zhuoyu’s gentle smile to him just now made Mo Han think that his teacher’s attitude towards him had softened, and he couldn’t help but be delighted.

So whatever clues came next, Mo Han was the first to give them to Lang Zhuoyu and his attentive attitude made Lian Yin on the other side want to roll his eyes.

Another clue and Mo Han also gave it to Lang Zhuoyu the first time. Lang Zhuoyu said to him very politely: “Thank you.”

Lian Yin on the side stretched out his foot and kicked Lang Zhuoyu.

Lang Zhuoyu held Lian Yin’s hand on his lap and squeezed it, full of comfort. Lian Yin glared at him, but didn’t say anything in the end.

The game continued. After everyone read the clues, a girl raised her hand and began to question Lang Zhuoyu: “There is a blank space on the map. I suspect that this is a secret room. I want to ask the owner of the castle, the Duke, do you know anything about this secret room?”

Lang Zhuoyu glanced at his script calmly, and then explained off the script: “I do know about this secret room in the castle, but I haven’t set foot in this room for a long time. Madam has been resting in the room.”

“Then Madam, is what the Duke said true?” The girl turned to Lian Yin.

In fact, Lian Yin had not been in his acting state all the time. When he met Mo Han again, the guy’s attitude towards Lang Zhuoyu was unpleasant, so he was getting angry. At this time, he was called, so he quickly rectified his mind, opened the script and read it. It was indeed written that the Duke and Madame rested together at night, but there was a description in the front that the Madame was unwell, so she closed his eyes for a while. According to common sense, the lady did not know where the duke went during the nap.

Lian Yin was about to open his mouth when suddenly someone around him grabbed his hand. Lang Zhuoyu looked at him, but said to the others: “But last night, Madam was not feeling well, so I went to find medicine for Madam and returned soon.”

The girl asked Lian Yin: ” Madam, is that so?”

Lian Yin subconsciously felt that what Lang Zhuoyu said was wrong, but after thinking about it, it made sense. Seeing Lang Zhuoyu’s eager eyes, he nodded casually: “En, yes.”

The girl listened, held her chin and thought for a moment, then didn’t ask any more questions.

After this round of speeches, the knight commander asked the players to start the second act of script reading, and then quietly left the room.

Suddenly, all the candles on the table went out and the room fell into complete darkness. The strange background music sounded, a sharp female voice chanted in a low voice, and it send chills down the back of the people who listened.

Everyone fell silent in unison, looking at each other blankly. The music flowed slowly, then faded, until it became silent.

Suddenly, a baby’s cry and scream broke the long silence of the previous music.

A voice came suddenly, and Lian Yin shook violently. Lang Zhuoyu immediately stretched out his arms to embrace him, and said in a deep voice in his ear, “It’s okay, it’s just music.”

Everyone was more or less frightened by the terrifying sound effect. When the music stopped and the candle lights were relit, everyone let out a sigh of relief.

After Lian Yin calmed down, he remembered a plot in his script, and immediately read it to confirm, he unexpectedly shouted: “This, this should be my child’s voice!”

Everyone was surprised, because when she was just introduced, the Duchess said that “she” and the Duke had been married for many years without a child. In addition, the name of the script was “Shadow of the Evil Infant”. The child was obviously a major clue, so everyone turned their attention to listen to what Lian Yin had to say.

There was only one paragraph in Lian Yin’s script that mentioned a child. The Duchess had been pregnant several times, but she gave birth to a stillborn in less than a month. He told other players this sentence without reservation, but it didn’t make much sense, and everyone was still confused.

After several rounds of speeches and evidence collection, the time came to 6 o’clock in the afternoon, and the game was coming to an end. The knight commander stood up and said, “It’s almost time and now everyone needs to have a final discussion and answer two questions. First, who took it away? Second, what is the secret in the castle?”

The plot was still confusing at this time, and everyone discussed it for a long time, but did not come up with a completely definite answer. The knight commander brought a box and asked everyone to write the answers to the two questions on paper and put them into the box.

Lian Yin didn’t understand it at all. The first question, he casually wrote the role of the housekeeper played by Mo Han. After all, this guy had very little information in the whole game and was very annoying. As for the second question, Lian Yin made up something, and after writing it, he raised his head and found that Lang Zhuoyu had already handed in his answer.

Seeing his determined expression, Lian Yin blinked and asked blankly, “Teacher Lang, do you know who it is?”

The smile on Lang Zhuoyu’s face deepened, and he leaned over and whispered in Lian Yin’s ear, “I know, it’s me.”

Lian Yin’s eyes were round and he almost pointed at him and called out. Lang Zhuoyu raised his index finger, motioned him to keep his voice down, and then asked, “Do you want to change it? The person who stole the painting is the housekeeper, and the secret of the castle is my curse. In order to gain financial power, I sacrificed every one of my own flesh and blood. Moreover, I suspect you’re already dead.”

This had nothing to do with the answer they deduced at all! After being frozen in place for several seconds, the knight commander urged him, and then he regained his senses and waved his hand: “Forget it, I didn’t deduce it by myself. It’s pointless for you to give me an answer. I won’t change it.”

After finishing the votes, the knight commander read the votes and announces the answer.

The truth of this script was basically the same as what Lang Zhuoyu said, and no one even thought that the Duchess was dead. However, Lang Zhuoyu still had some branch lines that others have not guessed.

When the knight commander finished telling the truth, all the players were shocked and sighed that they were too stupid.

Lian Yin secretly asked Lang Zhuoyu with a face full of curiosity: “It’s your first time playing, how can you guess so accurately?”

Lang Zhuoyu laughed: “A lot of plots are distractions, just grab what the host gives as clues and you’ll be good. When I read the first act, I suspected that I was the murderer, and Mo Han always gave me the clues first, so that I had enough time to think about how to lie.”

“Wow.” Lian Yin looked at him with admiration.

After Lang Zhuoyu finished speaking, the knight commander also comforted: “This is the first time for everyone to play, and everyone didn’t find the right method, so it’s normal not to guess it right. This book itself is very difficult, and there are countless distractions, so you don’t need to be too discouraged. “

Then the staff took the players to change their clothes.

Lang Zhuoyu came out after changing clothes, and called “Lian Yin” in the dressing room next door, but no one answered. Thinking that he might have gone to another dressing room, Lang Zhuoyu walked to the exit and waited.

Just standing for a while, Lang Zhuoyu saw Mo Han come out, and the posture was directed at him.

Sure enough, Mo Han stopped in front of Lang Zhuoyu with a smile on his face, and asked, “Teacher Lang, are you waiting for someone?”

Lang Zhuoyu didn’t want to entangle with him, so he simply said, “En.”

At that time, Lian Yin also came out of the dressing room after changing his clothes. There was a corner in the corridor leading to the exit. As soon as he walked out, he saw Mo Han talking to Lang Zhuoyu. He was afraid that Mo Han would recognize him, so he stopped and waited behind the wall.

Lang Zhuoyu’s whole body was conveying the signal “I don’t want to talk to you”, but Mo Han seemed to have installed a signal blocker and couldn’t understand it at all. What are your plans to go back to Xicheng? My summer program is over, and I plan to go back in a few days. If you have plans, we can go back together.”

“No.” Lang Zhuoyu took a half step back, “I can’t leave my work, and I have no plans to go back to the Xicheng.”

Mo Han scratched his head and smiled: “I thought writers would work more freely, as long as they could write manuscripts, they can go anywhere and it’s fine.”

Lang Zhuoyu was silent.

He thought that if he refused directly, Mo Han would leave, but he didn’t expect him to say: “Teacher, you haven’t been back to Xicheng for several years, not even for the New Year. Aunt Zhao always mentions you.”

Mo Han’s Aunt Zhao was Lang Zhuoyu’s mother.

Lang Zhuoyu was restless in his heart, but his face was still not clear. He just said lightly: “When I want to go back, I will call them. Thank you for your concern.”

“Sister she…” Mo Han suddenly changed the subject and looked up. After seeing Lang Zhuoyu’s face, he continued, “She has been very busy with work in the past few years. I can see that she has been unhappy all the time. If you can go back to see her, maybe she will be happier.”

When he said this, Lang Zhuoyu slowly stood up straight, the corners of his mouth sank, and the temperature in his eyes plummeted: “It has been more than three years since I broke up with your sister.”

Mo Han’s sister, Mo Ling, was originally a girl introduced by Zhuoyu’s parents. At that time, Lang Zhuoyu was almost twenty-seven, and he didn’t have a relationship, so his parents arranged a blind date for him. The blind date selected was the daughter of an old friend who had returned home.

At that time, Lang Zhuoyu didn’t have anyone he liked and Mo Ling matched his own conditions in all aspects and they got along fairly well, so he started dating under the expectations of his parents. But after only a few months of dating, the two had a conflict, and Lang Zhuoyu and Mo Ling broke up. Immediately afterwards, he came to Beicheng because of his work, and did not inquire about Mo Ling again.

And Mo Ling was also a well-educated woman. For appearances, she never contacted Lang Zhuoyu once after breaking up.

Now that Mo Han suddenly said this, Lang Zhuoyu instinctively resisted. After all, it has been several years, and now that he had a new relationship, he was personally upset.

Mo Han was a little incoherent and anxiously said: “It’s just a breakup, but after all, you used to be the most intimate person. Teacher, go back and see…”

“Mo Han.” Lang Zhuoyu suddenly interrupted him, “I already have a lover. I said it last time when I went to the party. If you didn’t hear it, I’ll tell you again now.”

Mo Han’s face turned pale. On the day of the party, he saw Lang Zhuoyu surrounded by his classmates and he didn’t care to join in the fun, he didn’t expect to miss such a piece of news. He said in a panic, “Oh, still that one, it’s been so long, I thought…”

Lang Zhuoyu didn’t want to get into him explaining himself, sighed, and said solemnly: “Your sister and I ended three years ago. We are both adults and we will deal with each other’s feelings. You don’t need to step in and help. I have a new life now, and I hope you don’t say these words again. ”

After saying that, Lang Zhuoyu left.

He had just glanced at Lian Yin who was hiding behind the wall, and he didn’t know how much the child had heard.

Lang Zhuoyu leaned over to the wall and found Lian Yin: “Let’s go, what are you hiding here for?”

Lian Yin touched the peaked cap with a guilty conscience, and defended himself in a low voice, “Isn’t it because you are talking to Mo Han, I’m afraid he will recognize me.”

“Don’t be afraid.” Lang Zhuoyu reached out and pulled down the brim of his hat, put the sweater and hat on him, and then took the person into his arms, “I’ll cover you, let’s go.”

Lian Yin lowered his head and was led by Lang Zhuoyu to the exit.

Mo Han just stood in the same place for a while after being ruthlessly drawn boundary lines by Lang Zhuoyu, until his companion patted him on the shoulder, and then he came back to his senses.

“Let’s go, Mo Han, let’s go eat.” A girl greeted him with a smile.

“En, coming.” Mo Han responded.

They left the investigation center and just walked downstairs when Mo Han found that he forgot to bring his umbrella. He asked his companions to wait for him for a while, then went back to get his umbrella.

Then, he met Lang Zhuoyu and Lian Yin who came out.

Lian Yin responded quickly, and quickly lowered the brim of his hat, covering most of his face. Lang Zhuoyu put his arms into his, hugged the person tightly with his back towards Mo Han, and bowed his head towards Lian Yin in a playful manner: “Okay, I’ll hug you, don’t act like a spoiled child.”

Lian Yin really wanted to give him a kick, but in fact he was still obediently lying on his shoulder, not saying a word.

Mo Han was stunned for a moment, didn’t dare to wait any longer, and ran back to the investigation hall to get his umbrella with Lang Zhuoyu’s cold eyes.
