"DAD! What did you do to him? MOM! Look what dad did to Alex." Emily panicked seeing a fainted Alex.
Cyrus was carrying Alex like a ragdoll on his shoulder.
"Don't worry my dear daughter. He is completely fine… Eh eh."
"That is not how a completely fine man looks. What made him faint?"
"Nothing! Really nothing! He accidentally fell down a tree. Maybe that's why." Even the almighty Cyrus Vulcan was afraid of his daughter. So, he carefully explained.
"If you said something else, I would have believed. Falling down is the last thing he would be afraid of."
"Oh! Did I forget to mention the part where he fell towards a charging mana beast? Silly me!" Cyrus elucidated.
"Dad! Sigh!" Emily sighed in exhaustion. Unlike how Cyrus treated Edward, he treasured his three daughters. He gave them much more freedom too.
"Nothing broken or bent, right?" Mary Iridian, Emily's mother asked curiously. She knew that Cyrus wouldn't harm Alex. She believed in her husband. But made sure to ask to comfort her daughter. After all, her second daughter, Emily, was a crybaby.
"No! Everything is good with him. He is exhausted and will wake up before dinner. Lay him in a room somewhere. I will go and deal with the boar he hunted."
"Ah! Did he hunt a boar? What happened to you? Letting someone else take your bling. That's not like you. Have you already taken a liking to Alex?" Mary teased Cyrus.
Cyrus turned away hiding his expression and went to deal with the carcass.
—-------Alex POV—---------
"While I was performing a tactical retreat in my plasma form, an unknown power pulled me down to earth. Losing control, I slammed into something. Waking up, I saw myself trapped inside your soul with minimal control of what I could do. A sad story, I know. To be trapped inside a mere human's soul. What have I degenerated into? Sigh!" The cyan ball said while sighing.
Hearing the freaking Cyan ball sighing, my mind exploded in anger.
Now, I know what killed me. The freaking lightning bolt was this thing. Ah!
Should I just kill it!
"You mean, while you were running away from a battle, you fell down and incinerated me. That's what you meant, right? HA ha ha ha…" I laughed out weirdly expressing my dissatisfaction.
"Ha Ha Ha. Although not accurate, when you put it like that. It is kind of funny." The cyan ball also laughed, misunderstanding me.
"What did you say your name was?"
"You might know me by many names. I was once called a calamity. Some called me a saviour and most people know me as the Star born. But you can call me Sirius." Said Sirius pompously.
"OK, star baby. So, why are we inside a novel? Do you know anything about that?"
"It's not Star baby! It's Sirius." Sirius whispered.
Was the Cyan ball sad? He seemed downcast.
Was this the same cyan ball that was shouting angrily at me and cussing? Getting angry at it seems like kicking a puppy. Like I am evil somehow and the one that killed me is a saint.
"I don't know why we are here. But one thing is sure, unlike the previous earth, this world has been exposed to mana for some time. I can feel my strength slowly returning. It feels like home." Sirius explained.
"That's it? You don't have anything more to say? For example, why does my heart glow in a cyan hue? Or about why I become strong temporarily whenever my heart beats fast."
"Fear!"

"Fear?"
"Yes, Fear. Whenever you feel fear, you somehow tap into my strength. You syphon my soul essence to strengthen yourself and use my stellar flame. This happened a while ago too. When you were battling the oversized boar. Does that explain everything? Can you release me now?" Sirius asked politely. The spunk he had shown disappeared with time as we conversed.
The more I think about what has happened. The more unreal everything feels. One after another problems surfaced making my life miserable and I was always chasing after a solution to everything. But life has once again reminded me that everything is not in my control. It had much more in store for me to experience.
"Thanks star baby for your answer. Now that we have cleared up our misunderstanding, let's part ways here. So, tell me how to wake up."
"This is your soul domain. You are the master of this world. You can push me out yourself and wake up by just willing it. Considering how small this space is, you should have a weak soul. So, try as hard as you can to push me out."
If the words of Star baby are true. I am somehow inside my own soul and I can free it and wake up easily. But what does it mean by a small space? It took me a lot of time walking around to find where the cyan ball was stored. Can it not see what's outside the barrier?
I had my doubts, but it was not the time to think. It was time for me to act.
I wished to wake up.
Just as I wished, I woke up.
I could hear mild sounds from my surroundings. I could feel the wind once again rubbing against my skin. If not for the fact that someone was pulling on my hair, hurting me. It was peaceful.
I slowly opened my eyes. In front of me was a cute child of age four or five, sitting on the pillow next to my head. She was looking down at me while pulling my hair left and right. The pain was bearable, but seeing her smiling at me scared me a little, enough to awaken my cyan heart.
Blinking at each other, I assume, we came to a tactical understanding. Releasing me, she ran out calling 'Aunt!'.
Now I know who she is, assuming I was not dead and was inside the Vulcan family compound. She can only be one person.
Theia Vulcan, the daughter of Freya Vulcan and Ethan Carter. A genius, born once in a millennium.
For most people, the Vulcan family was a mystery. They arose during the demonic war and Cyrus Vulcan was a part of the humans who led humanity to victory. He was strong, competent and influential. A hero in a sense.
So, you might expect Cyrus Vulcan to be the strongest living inside this house. But you couldn't be more distant from the truth. Ethan Carter, his son in law was one of the most powerful S ranked superhumans alive. Then you might think that Ethan was the strongest in the family.
Ting! Wrong again.
Edward with his newfound powers and protagonist halo has already surpassed Ethan. With time he would grow to fully utilise that power and will be crowned the strongest of the generation. And again, knowing all that. You might think Edward is the strongest in the family.
Obviously Ting! You are wrong again.
The strongest one in the Vulcan family is not Cyrus, Ethan or even the protagonist Edward.
The strongest is Theia Vulcan and will only be Theia.
If you want a clear description of who Theia is, then there can only be one word which can be used to describe her.
Chaos.
She, in the future rules over chaos. She has a superhuman ability that grants her the power to destroy and delete anything. One of the strongest abilities ever. So, in the latter part of the novel, she was also called the Chaos Witch.
But now, here she was pulling on my hair. Mob level characters like me would have never tainted the eyes of Theia, if not for my meddling in the novel's plot. Rubbing my scalp, I felt the change in plot. It was slightly painful.
"Aunt, He is woke!" I could hear Theia screaming from behind the door.
*Sigh!* I am kinda woke!
