It all started when a silvery steel cube fell from the sky, dead centred onto my garden. Now, this was no ordinary cube, because it contained the very objects that will change my life, and make it a whole lot more interesting. And you're now probably wondering,"Well then, Charles what are these mystical items that are so awesome?" Well let me tell you! It is the two silver rings that is in the very box we are talking about. Now lets get back to the story.
12 November, Saturday around 5:45 pm
Charles was sitting in the front seat of his old black Toyota Supra, driving on the freeway to home, having just gone to his parents house for the day. They kept bothering him about getting a better, higher paying job and he kept bothering them about how he will "Do what I want".What Charles meant was that he was working as a hotel receptionist, making near minimum wage. After thirty minutes of driving, He finally arrived at his small three bedroom home. He had a fairly good home that was in a nice neighbourhood but very far from the city. He had bought it for a steal, with the money he had gotten from his grandparents wills, totalling to about 67 thousand dollars.
Charles entered his house after locking his car and immediately got his shoes off and quickly followed it by taking his socks off and sat down on his soft couch, putting the tv on. Looking out his window next to the tv, Charles watched as the old birch tree that was particularly dry this time of the year, standing normally tall, explode into flames and quickly turn into ashes. Guess I'll have to check that out. Charles quickly ran out and grabbed the hose and proceeded to hose all the flames. In the now dead patch of garden lay the silver box with the words: "To: Charles Acker".

"Really? No sender? That doesn't look suspicious at all."
Touching it, Charles could feel the lingering heat radiating out of it. He quickly proceeded to take the small, unmarked box, except for the simple message and clip holding the top closed, and put it on his kitchen countertop. Up close it looked like the box had a milled finish and sharp corners. Should I open it? Maybe not, it may well be a nuclear bomb for all I know, though if it was a nuclear bomb, wouldn't it be a good idea to open it on the slim chance I could turn it off? Well lets not dilly-dally here. Its settled then, lets open it. But... what if opening the box activates the nuclear bomb? It could be anything inside the box. What if this is some test by the gods and opening it ends humanity.
After pondering for a bit longer than he should've, Charles finally decided to unclip the lock on the box and slowly, slowly open the lid. Inside the box were two silver rings, one on an orange pedestal and the other blue. On closer inspection he saw that both rings had a hue of colour in the silver, corresponding with the colour of the tiny pedestal's they were sat on. By now, Charles was feeling a bit delusional, thinking he may have been drugged and set his own garden on fire.

But that doesn't explain why there is a metal box with two rings inside on my kitchen counter or why I found it in my burned up garden. Maybe it fell from space? That would explain the fire that suddenly imploded in my garden.
Thinking that he was thinking too much about it, he decided that he was going to try the rings on. He put the orange ring on his left hand and the blue one on his left. After a few seconds of waiting, Charles was starting to think that maybe they are just normal rings and wanted to scold himself for being delusional when he suddenly lost consciousness and fell limp on his cold kitchen tiles.

Charles' Consciousness was slurring awake in the middle of the night, around 12am. His Entire body felt like it had gone through a hurricane of rocks and his head was pounding as if someone moved in there and is currently trying to master drumming on full volume. After having slowly making his way to the cabinet with pain pills and drinking six of them, he finally noticed that the rings weren't on his fingers, although he could feel they were there. With a quick thought he could see the rings on his fingers. After a minute of sitting down he felt that he finally had his kind awake enough for coherent thoughts and began thinking the events of the last few hours through. First Order of business would probably be to inspect the rings. I think. His mind was very perturbed. When he focused on the rings he oddly felt as if he had a deep connection with the rings that felt so solid he could touch it. After that thought he felt a sharp prick in his brain and suddenly intrinsically understand how to use the rings.
The first thing they could do was absorb items through the orange ring, and then gets stored in a stasis like space inside the rings. Though, this does take energy, and the bigger the item the more energy it takes. Trying it his phone nearby he saw that it immediately disappeared and he could feel it inside the ring. Having a ring with a storage space inside it probably counts as function two. After taking his phone out of the ring by making it suddenly appear in his hand and looking at his kitchen oven clock, he confirmed that the items really do stay in stasis since his phones time was behind. Charles then proceeded to will his phone back inside and he was getting increasingly hungrier by the second. His eyes began feeling dry and bloodshot. Taking the unopened bread loaf bag and ripping it open he proceeded to eat the bread like a stray animal to sate his hunger. He ate the whole loaf of bread. Crumbs and all. His hunger felt sated and he noticed he was recovering the energy he had used to take the phone in and out. Now he at least understood how to recover energy that he thought to himself he would now refer to as mana, considering the evidence.
The third and final function of the rings is the only function of the blue ring, witch is making copies of item's he had stored in the orange ring. Is how it feels to het superpowers? The experience is certainly awful but the rewards are fabulous. Having eaten the whole loaf of bread he could feel his mana nearing full and decided he wanted to attempt something.
Charles took out his wallet and took all the notes, then neatly arranged them on the countertop. He had two 20 dollar bills and one 50 dollar bill. Swiping his left left hand over the bills, he put them all in his inventory and copied all three back onto the table and took the original three notes and placed them next to the copy's. The notes numbers don't change so i cant copy the same bills if i want to make big cash transactions or if I try to deposit the same copied bills at the same time they could think i was printing money. He put the three original notes back into his storage and copied five more sets of bills when he started feeling hungry again. Looking at his body he could see that he was a lot leaner and his muscles were standing out a tiny bit more. He could also feel his mana pool grow a minuscule amount. He reheated the half full bowl of lasagna in the microwave and quickly devoured it with a fork now that he could control the cravings much better. Charles took the six sets of copied bills totalling 490 dollars and put them in one side of his wallet and the original bills in the other. His body felt sore and his mind was getting increasingly foggy. His skin felt like he had bathed in used car oil so he decided his next course of action should be a shower and then some sleep. The next day he would figure out how to make himself rich.
Or wake up and realise this was all a mad hallucination and he should go get himself tested.
When Charles woke up he was actually quite surprised that when he checked the rings and money was still there. Either its real or I hit my head too hard. Getting up and doing his morning wake-up routine of brushing his teeth, then getting dressed in plain black sneakers, jeans, a plain white t-shirt and a plain suit coat. For breakfast he decided on poached eggs on a toasted muffin with some hollandaise sauce and ham with a side dish of pork sausages to refill his mana all the way to full. Looking at his mana bar he saw that it had gone up by a quarter whilst he was sleeping. When his mana bar was full he took the wad of copied bills from his wallet and copied it four times more, emptying his mana once again but now with a thick wad of 2450 dollars of money totalling to 72 notes. Now i just have to figure out how to wash the money.
