Kim Su Won knew that Cecilia Whittemore's one of the biggest pain point was that she could not be a crown princess candidate, ever. The pact that the original Emmeline Whittemore and her elder sister had made was that Cecilia would leave Emmeline alone if Emmeline squashed her chances to enter the royal family herself. Cecilia even offered her protection from other siblings bullying her. Emmeline, seeing it as a chance to be able to mind her own business, agreed. But the poor kid had no idea that neither Cecilia ever had any plans to keep her part of the deal, nor was it any beneficial for her future in any way. Emmeline had left no stones unturned to make her teachers run away and have a negative reputation overall. Her reputation had become so low that even servants were not interested in serving her. At that point, who would listen to her if she ever wanted to retaliate against Cecilia for not keeping her promise? Cecilia and Ivan Whittemore would not just leave any chance of bullying her. Moreover, her mother, who only thought of her use as a crown princess candidate would lash out at every occasion on her for not living up to her part. Kim Su Won did not have that many details from the novel but she had the past memories of Emmeline Whittemore. She was beginning to understand the reason behind original Emmeline's brashness. And now it was time to turn the tables. She could already see that Cecilia's beautiful face had twisted with anger. How dare this unruly kid talk to her like this? She really needed to get her mother here. But Cecilia also had her own pride. How could she take such a blow from a kid who did not matter anywhere at all? But what else she could say anyway. It was a perfectly legit reason for this wench to start investing in herself. So, she had decided to break her agreement. "Hmph! As you wish. Do not expect me to stay away from you then," Cecilia flipped her long silver hair with pride and trotted away, as if she still had the upper hand here. "Haha, what worse could you do anyway, my dear sister?" Kim Su Won gnashed her teeth. Stay away from her? So, this poor excuse of an elder sister actually thought that she was keeping her promise all this while? Cecilia turned her head over her shoulder, with rage and ruthlessness seeping from her eyes, "You have not seen anything, my little sister. I was just going easy one you till now." And with that, Cecilia Whittemore headed back to her room, with a whole entourage of maids snickering behind her.
"This kid is dead, even if she belongs to the legitimate blood line," a maid whispered, loud enough for Kim Su Won to hear.
"I know, right? She probably has no idea who she just provoked. Half of young miss's step siblings fell out of favor of master just like that. I am eager to see how young miss will make this miss's downfall," another maid agreed and then laughed sheepishly. "Look at her attire, she is already so poor. She does not even know who has been behind it till now," another maid chimed in. This was not the first time this was happening, they could just glance at the poor target pitifully. As Kim Su Won heard the words, her heart starting to go cold. What kind of family was this? She was always curing her own family back home for being too strict and dysfunctional, but this family was way above that point. She did not ask for anything like this, she was better dead then! With clenched fists and a wounded heart, Kim Su Won finally headed towards the room of her father. She did not feel any ounce of emotions towards any of her immediate family members anymore, although she had not met her tyrant brother yet. Neither did she have any mood of exploring this big mansion anymore. She gently knocked on the door. She had to focus on the task at hand and worry about her elder sister and her shenanigans later. And first impression, it was very important! "Come in," an authoritative voice, not of her father though as she recalled from one time she had met him, called her in. Wasn't a knight or someone supposed to escort her in? Was she so unimportant in this household that she had to open the door for herself? Even the two guards standing outside were not moving and standing like a statue. "Open the door," she commanded to one of the guards. Everyone including the servants who were roaming around just wanting to see a show were all shocked. Was this one of the usual tantrums the miss was throwing?
