Chapter 1: Prologue

AN: Hey it has been a while. I finally found the drive to start writing after having found some time between college classes. Meaning I am gonna update, at least once a week. This story alongside Saiyan's journey will be my main focus.

 Our story begins with an unconscious young man, who appears to look no younger than twenty years old. His body is covered in many cuts that slowly but surely begin to disappear. The young man in question slowly started to awaken as his body glowed in soft white light, his bloody clothes were replaced with fresh ones, and on his wrist formed a black, and white watch with a green hourglass top. Eventually, the white light died down leaving the young man sitting in the grass, his face sporting a perplexed expression, and the green hourglass turning to a deep blue.

 

"Damn Ethan North... One second you're drinking some Coca-Cola, the next second you wake up in a forest completely foreign to you! What's worse is you let the two brain cells you have accept Coca-Cola from a person in shady green clothing, spouting nonsense about another life, and thought the cola wasn't drugged!"

 

'Sometimes I wonder whether or not I am truly smart or just plain stupid. Could be both. Anyways time to mess with the watch on my wrist to check if it's real or I am high as hell!'

 

Ethan finally let loose his first thoughts upon awakening and started to fiddle with the watch attached to his wrist. It gave him beeping noises in return, annoying him to the point he started to try, and pull it off. To no avail, it didn't budge in the slightest. Meaning it was the real deal, which in turn made him excited, and terrified as he had no idea what world he was in. Finally having come to this conclusion he quickly stood up and took in his surroundings.

 

[The Forrest was a stunning sight to behold, as each tree's leaves held a bountiful array of colors ranging from slight blue hues to deep red, and the grass being a soothing bright green color. Animals trot around in its cover without a care in the world about what might be outside its reach, and the small rivers scattered about forest ground provide clean clear water for the animals to partake.]

'This is stunning. This is not America or any other place on earth at least I think. Anyways I should start searching for stuff to satisfy my basic needs, or I will be in for a lot of trouble later on.'

 

When Ethan finished taking in all the fantastic sights of the Forrest, he started to gather materials. First was some large stones which he used to make a stationary fire pit and put moderate-sized sticks inside the middle. After that came the difficult part of collecting large sticks, making holes in the ground to hold them in place, and eventually having to tie them together with long grass ropes. When he finished putting the final touches on his quickly made humble abode his body collapsed to the ground with a heavy thud. The exhaustion finally hit him after a few hours of slightly intensive labor and his relatively unfit physique made it much harder.

 

'I knew I hated exercise, but bloody hell, I didn't think it could be this bad. Besides I got quite a bit done, except for my lack of food, to satiate myself. Oh how much I wish I could sleep, but as they always say "No rest for the wicked!".'

 

Subsequently having taken what would be a minute to catch his breath, Ethan stood up and started to search for food. It only took him a rather minute amount of time to find a pond containing an abundance of fish, where he then grabbed a pointy stick from nearby, and started to stab at specific spots in the water. Luck was on Ethan's side funnily enough, as he had about two or so fish on the end by the time he stopped stabbing.

 

'Now that I got food, all I have to do is prep it properly, and start a fire.'

 

When Ethan finished completing his other small task, mainly fire starting, and cooking. He sat down quickly eating his fill, all while looking at the blue hourglass that had slowly started to turn green, and eventually fell asleep.

AN: I hope you enjoyed the first remastered chapter. It is slightly longer than the original prologue and doesn't involve an oc needing wishes, whereas the original did. It is a nice change to what could be a great story. Now a few things you need to know heading forward is I plan on worldbuilding through the first few chapters, using what material I can. Besides, that next chapter will begin his training arc, much like the original. See ya next chapter! BTW if you see any mistakes comment on them so I can go back and fix them, as Grammarly tends to make a few mistakes.
