My father had taken me to this country after the failed attempt assassination of my father and my family on my sixth birthday.

I am a man who had been reincarnated to a world where superpowers exist but had yet to awake there own when this tragedy was acquired.

On that day, darkness and the hell of an injured mind put me into an endless abyss for the next ten years.

When another tragedy fell on me while I was in this state suddenly happened, removing the last tether to human morality.

After the last message, I remained slumber for another few hours before my eyes fluttered and my eyelids slid open tears began to slide from my eyes like endless rivers.

I knew what had happened thanks to the system instilling the information into me before I was brought back into the world.

I was never a warm man in my previous life, but things changed when reborn into this world.

I wanted this, but more I wanted those bastard’s heads, so I sat up.

There was no pain, no atrophy from the ten years of no motion as I lay in the hospital bed.

I knew this was because the system had used my quirk while in the coma, and as I called up the status, I soon found out what that quirk was as images of that power filtered into my mind from the idea of it from my past life novels.

As I looked at the status, I saw my basic information, and my stats were slightly above normal humans, even with the time that passed without doing anything.

As I thought about this information, a group of doctors came inside them, talking about turning off my life support as news of my father's death was already known.

But this discussion ended as they saw me sitting up and falling to their knees, as my eyes glowed with a golden aura.

The atmosphere around the doctors grew heavy as the gravity went to extremes, and the fabric of reality shifted under my quirk’s power.

“Please stop, Marcus they meant no offense!”

I turned towards the voice and saw a woman I knew before my coma.

She worked in my father's business; apparently, she followed, but it seemed more as I noted the redness beneath her eyes.

As I saw this, I felt a slight twinge of anger, but I regained control, my eyes returned to normal, and my eyes seemed to tingle from the brief uses of the power.

The doctor was able to get back to their feet in a panic.

Still, they also maintained their cool, and eventually, they came to me, giving me apologies for the statements made or even for thinking to do what they were going to do.

As a man who died in his first life in his seventies, seeing these sniveling wretches who were all too willing to end my all-too-short second life caused me to allow some of my old self to resurface.

“Go fuck yourself… now get me the paperwork and let me leave.”

My outburst shocked everyone as my response was extreme for someone who went into a coma at the age of six years old, but my anger at the situation made me forgo hiding anything from anyone.

The doctors retreat from the room, leaving the woman who spoke to stop me alone and me.

Silence fell over the room but eventually, she spoke,

“Do you remember me, Marcus?”

When she asked, it drew me to look at her, and as I did, a window similar to my status reopened, but instead of my status this time, it was the woman before me.

A look of understanding came across my face, and I said, “I understand, so you're my stepmom or what ?”   

She nodded. She seemed either embarrassed or shy trying to explain this even after I awoke as she believed my mind was that of six year old, but she would be shocked if she knew I was actually an old monster.

“Did you make him happy, Diane ?”

She paused, trying to process what I asked, followed by her looking back at me and saying, “I think I did, but I also think he felt guilty while you were here and with what happened to your mom.”

I nodded and said, “That's only natural; the most important is you guys had each other.”

I couldn’t blame them the fact they kept me alive instead of pulling the plug was enough, but that didn’t stop me from trying out my system on her, and I copied my stepmother's quirk.

As I saw this name, I began remembering something from a manga I read in my last life and the world, and I felt my body shake and my eyes focused on the old bastard before me.

I felt my body undergo more changes, even if they didn’t appear so outwardly, but I did not want him to take any interest in me.

I chose to say, “Yes, I’ve been here long enough, and if I hadn’t awoken, those two would of end me, so I have no faith in this place anymore and need to leave before the old man tried something.

So after letting them do a small check, and Kyudai Garaki noted down my quirk with a slight glint of greed, he gave me a clean bill of health and let me sign the release forms and filled out the quirk registry form as well for me.

After three hours and a few more tests, I was loaded into a limo with Diane and returned to the house.

As we were traveling, she decided to break the silence with me and said, “So do you have any plans now that you are awake ?”

I thought about it as I went over my gains and said, “with this quirk I have, maybe apply to a school where I could learn about it and even more.”

Diane nodded at this statement and could understand my thoughts.

The only thing I found odd was that no one questioned why I was acting so mature when I entered the coma at six years of age, but it was also convenient for me, and I had no obligation to bring this to notice.

I thought I was in the world of Hero Academia, but I had yet to learn where I was in the timeline.

Was it before One for all first fell at the hands of All Might, or even further back, the fact Kyudai Garaki was still a doctor on the loose and not in prison made me think it was still early on, maybe before All might injury or could Nana Shimura still be alive?

These were the thoughts I began to have as I thought about not needing to save her or anything or prevent any of it from happening, as I had no desire to be a hero, especially with all that had to happen in this life.
