Chapter 114: Fracture Of Gloom I
.................
"What?" If Doflamingo didn't already feel like something wasn't right, then he certainly does now as he turned around to face Yovan, "You..."
Yovan wasn't joking as he started right away. His behavior was certainly bizarre, not that it was that unexpected after losing a friend.
But Doflamingo was still suspicious, feeling like something wasn't right. He didn't get to dwell on that thought though as he leaped back, barely evading a hardened kick from Yovan.
That was followed by Yovan shredding the air with his hand, releasing ruptures that went on to travel to Doflamingo and all of his officers, fractures so strong they were heard by all of Dressrosa's people.
The fractures' sound was like thunder before lightning, and lightning did follow as a result of a collision between the fractures and black webs that surrounded Doflamingo and his men.
"Kill." Doflamingo's murderous voice resounded from beyond the dark hardened webs.
"Kill, but survive." Yovan also ordered, and the Strangers didn't question him at all.
He lifted his hand in the air, almost instantly forming a white crackling sphere, one of pure destructive vibrations. He then vanished, appearing far away along with Doflamingo.
Perhaps Doflamingo also realized that their battle would be too deadly, and may result in hindering their men, so they both wisely chose to change locations.
"You've made a grave mistake," Doflamingo pointed out with an icy demeanor, but his killing intent was obvious to all, "I will show you the power of a King before burryi..."
His words came to a halt as Yovan's own words took over, "Veil Of Darkness." Those words, Doflamingo was very much familiar with them. He has the 'Veil Of Darkness' painting after all, so knew what was about to happen before it happened.
Numerous feathers erupted from the surroundings, some from Yovan, others seemingly already planted deep in the sea, and they surrounded the area, isolating the two from the rest of the world.
It was almost like Yovan planned for this from the start, and if that wasn't enough proof, the emerald blade that pierced its way out of the ground was even more damming as it rested comfortably in Yovan's hand.
If that wasn't enough, Doflamingo could very well see the Armament Haki surrounding the blade, turning it inky. Hell, somehow the Haki delved even into the Hasshoken sphere, turning it black...
Death! Death was certain if the sphere touched him, Doflamingo was certain. He could feel it shaking in desire to break the world, and he could even feel its danger getting stronger by the second.
"Let's make this quick, shall we?" Yovan murmured, making it plenty clear that he was doing his best for his purpose was to kill Doflamingo as soon as possible.
"You... You are one of the Pantheon gods? No... You are Hades." Doflamingo said in shock, shock slowly turning to amusement, "Fuhahah fufuufhHAHhahahaha! The Pantheon must've really underestimated me to send only you!Fuahahahaaha!"
"I assure you... We didn't underestimate you not one bit." Yovan shook his head as his upper clothes cracked, showing his godly form, but most importantly, his left hand which was holding the blade... It was one of feathers.
It was, however, just his hand that was missing instead of his full arm. Strangely, Doflamingo could see Yovan's blood constantly flowing through his arm into the blade, the latter shining with an emerald glow as a result.
The glow would then produce tiny sparkling green flames that would flow back into his arm, and slowly but surely, his hand was regrowing at a noticeable rate.
Doflamingo's eyes widened at an even more shocking scene, the scene of golden lightning erupting from the blade. "Conqueror's Haki??"

People were already evacuating. In fact, they started evacuating since Hades' destruction of the Colosseum. Most spectators were able to escape the hungry emerald flames, especially since Viola made sure of it.
Not just Viola, but also Thunder Soldier. They all helped people evacuate, knowing that something grand is about to take place, but what happened was beyond grand.
Everyone, all at once could see the Veil of Darkness, reaching for the sky, and they could hear something akin to space breaking within, ear deafening cracks.
But the Veil of Darkness wasn't the only place with an ongoing battle. No, the Strangers were also facing a few enemies.
Or the Donquixote Pirates were the ones facing few seething enemies. They could see the fire of vengeance in their eyes, and the Strangers were indeed ruthless.
The Strangers' eyes were truly unsettling, very strange, something one of Doflamingo's top three officers Pica could see in Kaku, forcing him to coat his entire body in armament Haki just out of vigilance.
With two inky blades in his hands, a murderous Kaku walked toward Pica, part of his arms and legs turning into springs thanks to his Devil Fruit, almost the perfect Devil Fruit for him, the reason why Yovan granted it to him.
Pica got to personally see what Kaku is capable of as the latter vanished, and even with his Observation Haki, Pica could barely sense him. His speed was so fast it was ridiculous.
Instantly, Pica knew he couldn't afford as he dived into the ground, literally... Only, what followed was the ridiculous part as just about a thousand colossal sword slashes spurted from everywhere, turning the ground into mush.
Kaku is a user of Four Sword Style, by using two Shirasaya katanas and both legs with Rankyaku, an unorthodox Gentle Blade Swordsmanship that emphasizes lightning fast coordination and sheer speed to overwhelm his foes.
His legs act as swords as a master like none other of Rankyaku, allowing him to release air blades however he likes. Now, complement that with the force of springs, the mechanical force of compression and you created a monster.
He can not be seen, but his air blades could, thousands being released at every second, something Pica can only resist by using his strongest move.
"Assimilate!!!" Pica's high-pitched scream was heard by all, but most importantly, it was felt by all.
Pica ate the Ishi Ishi no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to assimilate his body into any and all stone he comes into contact with, as well as manipulate it.
And well, Dressrosa happened to be a large rock formation, and he was strong enough to manipulate most of it as he transformed into a stone giant, a colossal bigger than even ancient giants.
The giant dwarfed the entire Island, bringing terror to its people, but not to Kaku as he showed himself for the first time in the middle of the air, lightly jumping on nothing.
"Pikkya pikkya pikkyarara!! Now, what can you do!!!" The giant's annoying voice reverberated throughout Dressrosa as he extended his colossal stone hand toward Kaku.
Kaku's expression was icy, unchanged, except for his slightly red eyes, his hands trembled as he murmured, "Sign Of Death." He vanished again.
As he vanished, exactly ten springs appeared out of thin air, forming the shape of a decagon. In the second it took for Pica's hand to reach the area, Kaku traveled through each spring, each time releasing four air blades in the same direction, all congesting together to form an even bigger air blade.
It all went on to form a full Decagon shape, its sides being those of light blue air blades, but that wasn't the end because only a split second passed.
Before the end of that second, Kaku performed exactly ten tours through the sign until all of its ends met together, forming a very complex shape, and only then did he appear at its center, "Go..."
And that it did as he gently touched its center, using his spring arm to push it towards Pica alongside all the other springs.
The Sign of Death was there, then it was not. All that was left was a frozen Pica, the stone giant no longer moved for he was dead, and no one but Kaku was sure how it happened, not until Pica's body started crumbling into numerous parts.
The Sign of Death easily went through him, slicing him into numerous parts in its shape, the consequence of which was Kaku falling to the ground, breathing heavily.
His legs were burning due to his ridiculous speed. In fact, his skin was stark red, speaking to how much he pushed himself, "I... What should I do??" But he wasn't concerned about what he had just achieved. No, he was confused. It was all too sudden, did they truly lose a Stranger?
