Chapter 122: Impossible & Nonsensical I
.................
"No worries. We'll figure things out, especially with these little things," Yovan shrugged it off, stroking the wonderous Devil Fruits.
Kalifa narrowed her eyes, observing the Devil Fruits one by one, "Beta Beta no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create and control mucus, making the user a Mucus Human... It's not bad."
She faced Trebol, the previous holder of the Devil Fruit, so she knows the most about it, but she knows enough about the others. Her previous role as a cipher pol agent gave her quite a bit of knowledge in this regard.
"This should be the Ishi Ishi no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to merge with and manipulate stone, making the user a Stone Assimilation Human." She accurately speculated, "It has the potential to do great things... Hmm, very good."
"I'm not sure about this one," Kalifa remarked with a frown, eyeing a fluffy cloth-like Devil Fruit before turning her attention to Laffitte, "You faced its previous holder, Diamante, anything to add?"
"Oh, it's his? Hmm, it turns things fluffy, you know, like cloth," Laffitte responded with a dissatisfied look, "I don't like it, it's kinda soft you know? Not that much brutality."
"S-sure," She didn't know where that came from or who asked for his opinion of it, but whatever, she continued, "I will add it to my catalog."
"This one is..." Kalifa eyed a very special fruit, a gourd-shaped, pale lilac-colored fruit with the swirl pattern typical of Devil Fruits embedded all over it and a curly, fuchsia stem on its top.
"The Ito Ito no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create and manipulate strings, making the user a String Human. It was eaten by the Warlor... By the former Warlord of the Sea, Donquixote Doflamingo." She said, not needing to say more about its powers.
That was the confirmation that Doflamingo is truly dead without a shadow of a doubt. There were many types of fruits in Bege's body, thus naturally the Devil Fruit emerged in one of them.
The other Devil Fruit, Yovan made sure to acquire them by leaving fruits close to the Strangers' battlefield, pretty much controlling the entire scene with his feathers.
"Blueno..." Kalifa noted as she eyed the last Devil Fruit, the most unique Devil Fruit of them all, "Doa Doa no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create doors through anything they touch."
Sounds simple enough, but it's not so simple. Knowing he acquired this special Devil Fruit makes Yovan feel infinite fulfillment just for working with Crocodile in the Fall Massacre.
Crocodile's job was simple, deliver the Fall Massacre painting to Morgans along with carrying a sack of fruits with him while hiding beneath the ground, thus all of the Devil Fruits of those who died would emerge in them.
Blueno was one of the individuals who fell at Yovan's hands. His Devil Fruit was a welcome surprise, not something Yovan saw coming, and it will make his work so much easier.
"Now I just need time..." Yovan murmured.
"Who will take it?" Bege asked with curiosity. All of the Strangers are already Devil Fruit users, so none of them can eat another.
It's known among Devil Fruit users that eating more than one simply leads to death. Why? No one is sure, but Yovan would very much like to find out.
"I don't know which one..." Yovan responded as he lightly patted the two of Gloom and Sunny.
"Which of who?" Bege asked.
"Hm? Gloom or Sunny." Yovan responded with thoughtfulness, "I think Gloom should be more of a fit for it. It's the dark isolated sibling after all."
"..."
"???"
"..."
"Cap, what have you been smoking?" Laffitte couldn't help but ask with wonder.
"What? They're my children. Isn't it natural to only give them the best?" Yovan shrugged.
"Just what are you trying to do this time?" Kalifa was the only one who thoroughly contemplated his words though she couldn't help but rub her temple at the ridiculousness of Yovan.
"Just some impossible nonsense." Yovan released a wide smile as he caressed the two little Everless crows.
"I see..." Kalifa murmured, seeming to be in a bad mood, "Again some nonsense that I won't hear about until it happens."
"It's alright. You're smart. You can figure things out." Yovan didn't think much of it, but she did.
"I will figure it out, but I still want you to tell me." Kalifa stressed, "And you being you will surely not tell me, so I think there should be a punishment for when you go wild."

"Pfftt Yahahaha," Yovan was amused, but she seemed serious, "Why do I feel like setting up a trap for me?"
"I am not," Kalifa shook her head, "You're just imagining things. Anyway, Strangers, what do you say?"
"Definitely agree, don't ever want to feel like I did before," Kaku was the first to jump on the suggestion, "Please don't do it again."
"Sure... I'd like the crew to be on the same page, especially concerning your misfortune." Bege also agreed, seeing value in her proposition.
"No? Like, I don't want to know. I like surprises." Laffitte, on the other hand, shook his head firmly, "Please don't tell me if you kill Bege again, and do it soon."
"Yeah, your vote was unnecessary Laffitte, three of us already agreed." Kalifa shook her head as she walked up closer to Yovan, "How about I show you an example of how the punishment will be? For your latest offense."
"How about no? This is definitely a trap." Yovan eyed her weirdly, "I can sense the overwhelming emotions of excitement coming from you. Just what are you thinking?"
"Mmm, let's find out, shall we?" Kalifa let out a strange smile as she pulled Yovan with her, heading into the Captain's chamber.
"Hey!??? Punishment sounds fun! Can I join?" Laffitte yelled.
"No." That was all Kalifa had to say.
"Oh..." Bege raised a brow, a strange look emerging on his face, "So she was setting up a trap... But is that a punishment?"
"Hm? What?" Kaku was confused.
"They should be having se... You're too innocent to understand." Bege shook his head.
"What?" Kaku leaped closer as he stated, "I'm not! I know a lot, and I have been trained since young! I'm not innocent at all."
"Se?" Laffitte started stroking his chin, "Wait... Oh, I see... Hey, Kaku, should we do it also? I can teach you! It's very fu..." Before he can finish, he found a cannonball planted on his face, sending him far away.
"Fuck off!!" Bege yelled with exasperation, "Go have fun with that big metallic cannonball! Stick it in your a... For all I care."
"I'm confused?" Kaku mumbled.
"Stay confused," Bege encouraged, turning his attention to the sea, "Now let's wait for a new arrival, possibly a new Stranger."
"Huh? Wait, really?" Now that excited Kaku.
They had to stay on the edge of the Calm Belt, knowing the dangers within, not dangerous for them, but for the new arrival. Hours passed before the Strangers could finally see a ship on the horizon.
There were many individuals on the ship, almost all were Bege's subordinates as he left them behind to bring the new Stranger.
"Where is he?" The new Stranger certainly wasn't happy. Quite the opposite in fact, fury was apparent on her face as put her hands on her eyes like glasses... Her anger turned into embarrassment.
"This is Viola... She can see a lot and read minds." Bege introduced her, knowing a lot about her much to her surprise.
Despite previously being in his tiny fortress form, he could still hear things naturally, so every conversation Yovan had, Bege had heard it.
"Read minds?" Laffitte injected himself into the conversation, "I kinda don't know what's on my mind, can you?"
"Don't," Before they knew it, Yovan was standing right in front of Viola, saving her from seeing the biggest atrocities and insanity this world has to offer.
Viola surveyed what she already saw with her ability, Yovan wearing only pants. Well, she saw some things a bit more personal.
"Huh?" Yovan touched his cheek, feeling like someone just tickled or slapped him. Then he was slapped again, confirming that it was, in fact, a slap, then followed another, and a few more.
The one slapping him was indeed Viola, and she only stopped once she was stopped by Kalifa, the latter appearing from nowhere, wearing a pajama, "I want to kill her... Can I kill her?"
"Nah, it's alright," Yovan shrugged. He was honestly more offended that he didn't feel anything because, "But you're very weak... Do you even bother working hard? Honestly, if you slapped me one more time, I would've laughed at how ticklish it feels."
"Youu!" Viola was mad, and his words were making her madder, especially after what he had done... She was almost teary.
"I didn't break out promise," Yovan said as he eyed her, "Many died in Dressrosa, but I only killed Doflamingo... I made sure not to harm anyone else."
"What about Hades???! Do you know how many died due to the emerald flames, those in the Colosseum?!" Her screams made no change in Yovan's expression.
"Well, why are you yelling at me? Bring it up to Hades." Yovan shrugged with a raised brow, "Little thing, come here."
From Viola's pocket flew a little crow, a very tiny one, just created by Yovan recently, "You did well, Misfortune." It was Misfortune that kept an eye on Viola, stopping her from saying too much to Kizaru.
