Chapter 67: The Final Piece II
.................
It was of important significance because it symbolizes the true owner of the Casino, Crocodile, the Desert King, also one of the Warlords of the Sea!!
However, despite the joy and lovely chaos they brought upon the town, Crocodile didn't pay them any attention, or perhaps he wasn't even in the town.
Whatever the case, Yovan just enjoyed himself, partying with the entirety of his crew... Well, most of his crew.
The crew then left Rainbase, heading back towards Seizon No Hono, slowly but surely.
"Is the end near?" Suddenly, Laffitte wondered.
"The end of what?" Yovan arched his brows at that.
"I mean, is the Misfortune near?" He still remembers Bege's words. How he theorized that there comes a point in the year when Yovan has to suffer through unavoidable misfortune.
"Yes." Yovan nodded,
"And I will not be there to see it?" Laffitte's words surprised Yovan... He noticed.
"You will not." Yovan honestly answered.
"That's unfortunate. It would've been fun," Laffitte said before asking, "Why? Are we too weak? Or are we unnecessary?"
"None of the two. Your help will certainly negate a lot of pain I'll have to go through, but I want things to go as I planned for reasons you'll understand in the future." Yovan shook his head.
"So you're just a masochist?" Laffitte wondered with a weird smile, "I can meet your 'desires' without the need for whatever you're planning. Honestly, you're offending me by choosing someone else to torture you instead of me... Betraying out deep bond."
"You know... I was coming up with an exquisite workout that you'll surely love, but I thought it to be too much. However, I'm starting to rethink that. What do you think?" Yovan said with a look of amusement.
"Sure." Laffitte actually nodded. He wanted the torture.
"Oh?" Yovan's mouth curved into a wide smile, "Perfect. Someone will deliver to all of you the workout at some point in the future."
Soon they reached Seizon No Hono, leading the two of Bege and Laffitte to go take a shower. They were a bit too sweaty.
Yovan, on the other hand, doesn't sweat, and he found himself smelling very nice despite his state, so he just threw his cape over his shoulder and stood there, seemingly waiting for someone.
There was a sandstorm, and then Yovan found two people standing before him. One of them he knows because he was his target in coming here, but the other seems oddly familiar.
The man was Crocodile himself, a tall man with a wide chest, broad shoulders, muscular arms and legs, and a thick neck. He has pale skin and nape-length black hair, which is kept neatly slicked back.
He was standing before Yovan, smoking a thick cigar. The cigar was different than the ones Bege smokes. It was girthy and big. He seems into that.
The long stitched scar across his face made it obvious that he was into even more extreme plays, especially after looking at his mostly missing left hand, a golden hook being in its place.
The woman was tall, slender, and young with shoulder-length black hair and dark brown eyes. She also has a long, thin, and defined nose.
She was wearing a revealing cowgirl outfit consisting of a purple cleavage-exposing corset and matching miniskirt, both with white ornaments hanging from them, and a white fur-lined coat paired with a white cowboy hat and white high-heeled boots.
'Isn't she the... The... The... I kind of remember her.' Yovan mused in his mind. To be fair to him, he was a bit too tired.
So Yovan being Yovan. He opened his notebook and looked through it while nodding to himself.
"What are you doing?" It took a while, but Crocodile finally asked, not seeming too disturbed by Yovan's form. The woman, however, certainly was, understandably so.
"Just refreshing my memory on why I'm here," Yovan explained as he finally eyed Crocodile.
"So you did come here for me," Crocodile expected as much after he was told of what the Strangers had done in Rainbase, especially taking the golden Crocodile head, "Yovan Night, No?"
"Why is she here?" Yovan asked as he eyed the woman.
"You're here for something that important?" Crocodile questioned instead of answering.

"I'm wondering if you can handle it." Yovan wondered.
"You wouldn't be here if you didn't know I can handle it." Crocodile fire back.
"Meeting you is changing my mind," Yovan stated, "We'll have to talk alone."
Without being told, the lady started walking away though she didn't have to walk too far as a veil of feathers surrounded the two of Yovan and Crocodile.
"I want to hire you for delivery. I'll take a few things, and hand them over to you. You'll have to escape quickly because you'll certainly die if you stay a second too late. Take them to the destination."
Yovan directly stated, "If you so much as think about taking a look at them, you'll die. If you break the deal in any way, you'll die. If the news about what I will hand you go out, you'll especially die."
"Yovan Night, The Stranger, a bounty of 500 Million Beli, emptied the treasury of a Marine Base not long after arriving in Paradise and survived the following confrontation.
Went on to cause chaos all over Paradise, one way or another... Most importantly, killed a King, a nobody of King, but one nonetheless.
Vanished for a very long time, and then went on to take over Jaya but left it shortly afterward. The Veil Of Darkness happened directly after that, in it, dark feathers were involved, and now you're here."
Yovan was pretty sure he never killed a King, but perhaps his memory was failing him, so all he said was, "Your point?"
"I'm one of the Warlords of the Sea. You're a pirate." Crocodile pointed out.
"What's your point again?" Yovan asked again, starting to lose his patience.
"You have something that can make me basically be a delivery boy for you?" Crocodile questioned, realizing playing that game with Yovan will not work.
"The..." Yovan stopped amidst his sentence, narrowing his eyes as he looked through his notebook to make sure he spells her name right, "Devil Child, Nico Robin, Quite naughty huh? Tell your troublesome companion to stop eavesdropping."
Crocodile frowned, annoyance emerging on his face, "Stop. We'll talk later."
She was listening to them somehow, and Yovan sensed clearly how with his Observation Haki.
He sensed an ear appearing within the vicinity of the veil of feathers, hidden beneath the sand. Such are the miraculous ways of Devil Fruit users.
Only once he was sure no one was listening did Yovan continue, "The blueprints of Pluton. They're the price for your task as well as our future cooperation."
Crocodile wasn't sure if he heard things right. He was confused, stupified even, "Say what?"
"Pluton, one of the three Ancient Weapons, a highly advanced warship capable of mass destruction, labeled the World's Worst Battleship," Yovan explained just in case Crocodile was needing of a memory refresh.
It made him happy to know that there are other people that need a memory refresh like him. He wasn't alone after all.
"Do you know what you're saying?" Crocodile asked with wide eyes.
"I made an estimation of how much is needed to construct a single battleship... About Fifteen billion Beli at minimum!!" Yovan added, "So I need business partners."
"Why are you trusting me with this information?" Crocodile asked with a frown. He of course knows a lot about Yovan, especially about the degree of his power, so he at least assumes he wouldn't lie about something like this.
But telling him such a thing despite knowing his stature as a Warlord, that'd stupid unless he knows more than he tells about him.
"I'm losing my patience," Yovan stated.
"Are you not afraid of death?" Going after Pluton is like walking on the edge of death. Crocodile realized that before setting on his path of finding the Ancient Weapon.
"Yahahaha," Yovan couldn't help but crack up as he lifted his hand, showing two bracelets, "These are made of Seastone. You can easily kill me right now. Well, anyone can kill me right now."
'Lair!' Crocodile was certain he was lying. Perhaps those are really Seastones bracelets, but that wouldn't be nearly enough to drive him to attack Yovan.
His bounty was simply too high to be underestimated, especially knowing all of his achievements and nature.
"If what you're promising is truly true, then we will have a deal," He went on for a handshake, "For a happy cooperation."
Yovan shook his hand before saying with a peculiar smile, "Mo... Mor... The news guy knows everything, so if any of us break the deal, everyone will know. Now, let's talk about the deal."
He quickly changed the subject or got to the core of why he was here. He definitely didn't forget the news guy's name.
