'What in the name of Jesus is going on'  surely enough a young man laying down on a bed of green grass slowly opens his eyes and mutters.

'Uhhh' the blinding warm sunlight washes over him, his classic white T-shirt failing to hide the well-toned body underneath, failing to hide the outlines of his muscles, his former pair of black pants getting dirtier the longer he stays on the ground.

'ahhhhh' a sudden sharp pain assaults Matthew's head causing him to clench his teeth and hold his head with his hands, feeling as if his brain is getting hammered. 

"ahhhh" no longer able to hold his voice he let's out a scream as the pain gets sharper, more unbearable as the light blue panels keep popping up.

"F*CK MAKE IT STOP…" few tears of pain descending on his face, his body breaking down and repairing itself, muscle density increasing. A few seconds later, a couple drops of red blood flowed down from his eyes making Matthew look like a zombie.

"AAAAAAAH" a yell of agony resounded, as the wide-eyed Matt starts ripping off his shirt biting his arms, in hope of distracting himself from the pain, another stream of blood quickly follows as he chews on his own tongue.

the more blood Matthew loses, the more he feels his consciousness gradually drifting away, as he slowly loses focus, his memory getting fuzzier and clouded. He rolls around to the side of the new red grass bed, further staining his clothes even more. With a few hoarse shrieks of anguish coming out of his bloodied mouth, he keeps turning around and around, begging whoever designed these panels to stop the tormenting.

The pain started to gradually decrease, his nostrils, mouth and eyes stopped bleeding, his mind blanked followed by Matthew losing his consciousness.

A couple hours later, the now bloodied Matthew opens his hazel colored eyes… Or at least he tries to, as a sharp pain keeps hitting him the more he does. Deciding to close them, he gets up before the cold wind assaults his bare naked chest causing him to shiver, 'the hell happened to my shirt' he wondered as he cuddled himself. His earlier white T-shirt is no longer present, But he still has his pants and shoes on, so he has that going for him.

However, if Jacob was present he would notice something amiss with his old buddy, his skin is no longer as vanilla or pale white as it used to, but instead leans more on the golden side, his hair changing to the unusual brown color despite being black in his old world

After some time passes, Matt is now able to slightly open his eyes, he gazes at the unfamiliar surroundings, ' huuh' he sighed as he muttered silently ' system show me my stats'

Matthew quickly skims through his own status window, feeling a little bit at a loss of words 'I seem to have reincarnated into one piece, hold on, is reincarnation the right word? , pretty sure dying means–, huuh, who cares anymore'. Matthew's curious but tired eyes turned to the now red grass bed he's been on, eyeing the remains of his favorite white shirt, his attention suddenly drifts to the loud sound of ocean waves crashing on the shore of the island he just transported into. Yes, it's an island, that's what he has been able to tell so far, he was walking on the bare grass field near the forest. With every tree being unexpectedly gigantic, looking extra exotic with different leaf colors and weird trunk shapes, the flowers were fragrant, their scent flowing through Matt's nose easing his mind and calming his perturbed soul, with everything looking like their anime counterpart, albeit with unreal engine 5,1 level of graphics and scenery details. It made for a really gorgeous view of the rainforest. 'how lovely… so it's a new adventure huh?' 

Matthew chuckles as issued a command to the system 'system, calculate the current time and the base it on the cannon'

'umm it's still too early to think about anything, haven't even tested my new body yet' Matthew's gaze, no longer holding the same naiveté and arrogance, leaning more towards the cold and emotionless side, a foreign sight for his former friends back on earth. He clenched his fist and moved to the nearest tree in sight. 

"Ha!" He punched the wood aggressively as if he was holding some kind of grudge, but he was merely venting after what he just went through this day. 

'Interesting, my punch would give people like Mike Tyson and Mohammed Ali a run of their money, not like they could compare to my physical strength to begin with' he thought as he eyed the cracked tree trunk with the circular 1 foot deep dent in the middle. 

'now to the speed…' he muttered quietly while looking through the distance trying to spot a fruit tree, a regular fresh fruit should have enough water content and nutrients to solve his dehydration problem, he took a runner-like stance, before shooting himself with a kick, something you should never do if you already suffer from severe dehydration or if you are in the woods in the middle of nowhere, but it's not like he cared, he simply wanted to test his limits ,so how could we really blame him? 

"Hah hah hah" Matthew slowly catches his breath as he stops before an apple tree, 'it should be close to 65 km/h if my calculations are correct, not bad' he thought, before picking up a long wooden stick and then climbing the tree, he hit the apples accurately as they started falling down to the ground. Matthew climbed back down to pick up his loot, taking a bite and releasing sighs of satisfaction. He exited the forest before settling down in grass field he was in previously. Quietly, he ate his apples as he looked at the sunset in the distance:

 'a new adventure indeed'.
