Chapter 14: Chapter 14

I went to see what the girls were doing and the little mermaid is awake, they were talking with each other both Nel and Luc were were moving around in the air... didn't know that they were gonna be such good sisters. Little Bonney was talking with the little mermaid and they were giggling, atleast they are having a good time.

After checking on the girls I return to my new kitchen, since there was like one hour before mid day, I decided to store all the kitchen utencils inside the cabinets a long with all the plates and cups. I set the cutting board down on my new counter along with my knives throw some timber onto the stove and tarted preparing lunch.

After about an hour the feast is finished, I made a pizza feast since little Bonney likes pizza and it has been ages since I had any. I make about 6 extra large pizzas, most are just different combinations of vegetables but I also added some sliced sea chicken breast. Since there wasn't any pepperoni or sausages on the ship's food supply, there was a lot of cheese. I also oven roasted 12 seahog legs with all the seasonings to make them savory and a little spicy.

After the food was ready I called the girls over and brought them to the dinning area in front of the kitchen. I brought the little mermaid entire wooden bowl since she can't walk and both Nel and Luc shrank down and sat near the table. I started serving the food and bringing the different pizzas and roasted legs. I also got cold Cola bottles for little Bonney and little merm... I wonder what her name is...

Without further delays we started eating the food and once again I'm surprised how good that pizza taste I gave both Nel and Luc 5 roasted legs since they didn't want to eat pizza., mrs. Mermaid took 3 roasted legs and is also not interested in eating pizza, but then my faith was restored when I saw little Bonney eating my pizza like it was the last food she will ever eat.

Looking closely at mrs. Mermaid, I can see she has a Betta fish tail fin so maybe that is why she is eating only meat. Her tail is turquoise and her fins are bright red she is only wearing a light pink sundress and the top of a white bikiny, her skin is really pale and her face is really cute, she looks to be about 11 years old, her lips are light blue and her teeth are pointy, like those of sharks. Her hair is bright blue, but near the tips start changing from purple to red. Her eyebrows are red and her eyes are golden colored. Her arms are toned and her chest is modest for her age. 

"So how should I call you mrs. Mermaid?" After we were done eating I asked her and she shrinks back a little, but I give her time since I'm not in a hurry. 

She gathered her courage before answering me, "My name is Lexy, Blueblood Lexy, I am a Halfmoon Betta Fish mermaid... I'm 12 years old... And I want to be combat dancer like my parents... combining underwater dancing with fishman karate... I'm not that good of a fighter yet since they only though me the dancing and moving portion of my training... but about a year ago we were separated by an ambushe and I don't know were my parents are..."

What can I do to make her feel welcome... without thinking, I just patted her head and she blushed... is her head that sensitive... I just touched her head and wait...

I lifted my hand and she moved a little to follow my hand with all those colors it reminded me of my rainbow fruit, the one given to me by the goddess. I wonder what would happen if a mermaid eats a devil fruit. "Say Lexy, do you know what happens when a mermaid eats a devil fruit?" She turns a little pale and hid under water... guess it's taboo for them... 

I picked her from the bottom of her bowl and asked her with a warm smile, "If I were to give you a different sort of fruit, like a Rainbow Goddess Fruit for example, would you take it?" She started to shake a little but gave me a determined look. "I'm sorry but I don't want to loose the ability to swim underwater. If I cannot swim then... my dream of being a combat dancer like my parents would be over... please don't take that away from me..."

"Who says anything about not being able to swim?" I use my powers to bloom a rainbow fruit on my palm and she look at it with shinning eyes. "So pretty, with all those colors too..." she looks a bit torn between taking the fruit or not.

"This fruit serves 3 main purposes, the first and main reason it's to evolve devil fruit powers, making the devil fruit easier to master. The second it's to gain a skill that increase all your status and last but certainly not least it's to increase the user's potential, the higher the potential the higher the chances to learn skill and haki." I explained to Lexy

"Note, the only thing I want from you, is to join my crew, now I know you like to dance so maybe I can make an aquarium for you to practice. I will protect you and train you, or find someone to train you in the arts of dancing and some martial arts." I pat her head and continued "Obviously I'll feed you and shelter you, so you don't have to worry, I will even help you find your missing parents if you want." I said to Lexy hoping she will join my crew.

She hesitates a little, but give me a shy nod and I gave her the fruit. She was looking at me and then back to the fruit. She ate the fruit whoke and after she finished eating it, she started glowing with rainbow light and she squirmed a little inside her water bowl.

After about 20 minutes she stopped glowing and I have trouble looking at the bowl of now really dirty water... I took Lexy out of her dirty bowl and the first thing I noticed was that she had perfect human legs now... Where did her beautiful tail went.

I whent to the bathroom and gave little Lexy a bath looking at the other differences I now see that she is a little taller and her chest grew a little, her skin looked a lot healthier and she is also a little heavier.

I went back to the living room and took the comforter out of my storage and placed the sleeping Lexy on it, I need to appologize for not mentioning the side effects and her lost tail even though I promised she will not loose her ability of swiming.

I took her bowl and dump it out in to the compost tank. Need to make the next floors of my ship mainly the bedrooms since the night will come soon. Little Bonney looked at Lexy and changed her age to look like she is 11... and just went to sleep next to Lexy. They looked adorable together, Nel and Luc are also sleeping near the entrance curled in to a ball... now I feel lonely...
