Chapter 61: Dangerous
...
((("Such a ship... to be in the hands of a pirate...!"))) Sengoku's eyes widened enormously as he glanced at the giant metal ship standing in front of him. It was a technology he had never seen before, and even Dr.Vegapunk could be unable to build something as large as this without the help of the entire Marine.
"Things have prolonged for long enough, we shall take our leave now. We are not needed in this place anymore" Thanatos' crimson-colored eyes glowed sinisterly before he suddenly disappeared from the spot where he was standing a few seconds ago, and reappeared on top of the gigantic ship.
After him, all his crew members followed and boarded the ship right away, leaving Sengoku shocked momentarily before he got enraged and attacked the ship to stop them from leaving.
((("You won't escape from here, even if it's the last thing that I do!!!"))) Sengoku raised his hand and started gathering enormous amounts of energy on his palm, making the usual golden color of his skin shine even brighter than the light of day.
[Palm of Buddha!!!]
As Sengoku's palm advanced towards the ship, an enormous shockwave started appearing on his hand, and the more he advanced, the bigger the shockwave became.
It wasn't long before a Shockwave the same size as the ship gathered on his palm. However, when he was about to hit the giant ship, he suddenly Thanatos appeared in front of him once again.
As the majestic Haki covered his sword once again, he suddenly moved at an astonishing speed and thrust forwards using the sword in his hand. However, unlike last time, the sword did not create an enormous shockwave in front of it. Instead, it created a very thin crimson-colored ray that pierced through the center of the shockwave and injured Sengoku's palm as well.
[Void's eye]
The shockwave suddenly dispersed the moment Thanatos attack pierced through it. And Sengoku, who until now was too concentrated on destroying their ship to stop them from escaping, widened his eyes when he felt that his palm had received a pretty serious injury and that his attack had suddenly vanished out of nowhere.
((("What?"))) Sengoku winced in pain and receded a bit before he looked at his palm with an astonished face. After all, only the best users of Haki were able to injure him after transforming. For a pirate to be able to do such a thing, he must have a monstrous level of Armament Haki, like Garp, or even higher.
"It has been nice getting to meet you, Fleet Admiral Sengoku. However, other places need us right now, so excuse us for leaving so early"
((("Hngh! I said I won't let you!"))) Sengoku turned to look at Thanatos once again and prepared to attack the Ship one more time.
However, when his palm was about to charge towards them, suddenly thousands of ravens appeared from the insides of the ship and started surrounding Sengoku, blocking his vision, and disorienting him momentarily.
"And remember well, Sengoku... we, The Inquisition of Atlas, are not the real enemy. Look inside the shadows, and you will see the truth"
When the ravens finally dispersed, Sengoku turned to look at where the ship had been a minute ago, but now... There was nothing at all. As if it had never existed in the first place.
After a few minutes of inspecting his surroundings, Sengoku's body finally reverted to its normal form. He looked very tired from the fight, and his body was covered in small injuries and bruises. Even though they weren't really life-threatening, there was quite a lot of them on his body, and moving proved to be a bit painful.
"To think that just the subordinates of Thanatos were able to injury my body to such an extent... Horrendous" Sengoku looked at his own body momentarily before he turned to look behind him.
At that moment, every sign of life in his eyes disappeared, and he started muttering something in a low voice.
"With this much destruction, the paperwork will be endless... Ugh... I want to retire"

Deep underwater...
...
"So, what did we manage to discover on this visit to the Marine's headquarters, boss?" Yasu, who had already taken off his mask, was now sitting on a seemingly very comfy sofa sharpening his spear, inside of what seemed to be a luxurious room covered with the most extravagant and elegant furniture of the entire world. Not that he really cared about those matters anyway anyways...

At the end of the room, a dark and big chair was facing the opposite way of where the members were sitting, keeping whoever was sitting on it away from everyone's view.
However, once Yasu asked his question, the chair turned around and started facing all of them. Sitting on the chair was a dark figure with red eyes looking with seriousness at the map on his hand. He seemed to be looking carefully for a certain part of the map, it was just a matter of time before his eyes glistened slightly after he found what he was looking for, and after that, he took out a knife and stabbed the certain part of the map which had a small island situated there.
"Darieru Island? I thought we had already visited that island in the past? Why do we have to go back there again?" Yasu noticed the island which Thanatos had stabbed with his knife but was visibly confused when he remembered that they had already paid a visit to that island a year ago, and found nothing at all.
"After checking up the files of the locations of the blacksmiths that had worked for the marine during these last 20 years, I have found out that at least ten of them, and a marine of high rank had moved there with the pretext that there may have been some pirates stationed there. However, this had happened four years ago, and until now they haven't sent any report back to the marine's Headquarters, not that they have actually asked them for one either..."
Kuina, who was playing with a small dagger in her hand, turned to look at Thanatos and grinned slightly when she heard all the story.
"You mean that probably all the people we met at that place were part of this strange religion where they adore this evil being? No wonder they were kinda hurried to make us leave when we visited them..."
"Indeed, I thought that maybe they were low in resources and couldn't afford to take care of visitors, but now things change a bit... We might have been dealing with a hidden group of cultists back then..."
"Very well, let's go and beat them up! I can't wait to find the guy that made all those paintings, and kill him using my fists!!" Kuent, who was still wearing the iron Knuckles on his hands, punched the air and grinned slightly while imagining how the battle could develop.
As the group started getting pumped up for the incoming battle, the voice of Thanatos echoed all around the room as he tapped his finger repeatedly on the armrest from the chair.
"Though I doubt the Anomaly will be there, this might be a good opportunity to learn where it locates... Very well, let us depart towards Darieru Islands!" Thanatos raised his hand into the air, and soon the entire ship shook briefly before it started moving swiftly in a certain direction.

A few minutes after Thanatos and his crew disappeared from MarineFord...
"Sigh, it has really been quite a while since we have been here... Smoker even saved a country while we were outside, I wonder how many things have changed since then?" A silver-haired man talked merrily while seeing from afar the main base of the Marine, his companions, who were listening to him with smiles on their faces, nodded slightly and added their own comments about the situation as well.
"I wonder if Sengoku had already retired, he looked really tired the last time we saw him. It couldn't be a surprise to know that he had already retired and he is now spending the rest of his days at a tropical island, enjoying the beach, and drinking a lot of liquor..." A black-haired man with deep blue eyes that played with a dagger on his finger said as he looked at the approaching island with melancholy in his eyes.
"I bet everyone we have met has already become stronger!" A burly guy with a small beard and brown hair smacked his own hand and smiled slightly.
"I heard that there was another rookie like us ascending in ranks rapidly, I think his name was Asura. Maybe we will get to meet him now that we have come back?" A beautiful woman with long magenta hair that reached her waist walked towards the silver-haired man and brushed her hair slightly while looking at the island on the horizon.
From the side of the Silver-haired man, a white-haired girl suddenly appeared and smiled brightly at him, before looking at the island in the distance.
"It has really been a long time..." She muttered quietly while looking calmly at the sunset in front of them.
Everyone on the ship was smiling happily at their return to MarineFord. However, suddenly an orange-haired man that was looking through a spyglass at the island in front of them noticed enormous amounts of smoke coming out of it.
"Nael, there's a lot of smoke coming out of MarineFord!" The man yelled in a hurried tone towards the silver-haired man before he tried looking further into the reason for all the smoke coming out of the island.
When they all heard the orange-haired man's words, everyone gasped in shock and started looking at MarineFord with more attention. And indeed, there were towers of dust and smoke coming out of Marineford, as if some kind of terrible battle had just unfolded in it.
"Rory, can you see something else?!" Nael, who was trying his best to use his observation Haki to observe what was happening on the island, asked the Orange-haired man called Rory as he was the best of them when it came to seeing things from large distances.
"... Yeah... Sengoku-san... Is standing there injured...!"
""What?!""
