He Bai slept like a baby that night, he didn’t wake up till late in the morning while Di Qiuhe woke up early and asked He Bai’s bodyguard about how He Bai had been doing for the days they parted.
Di Qiuhe was staring at the laptop on the sofa when He Bai left the bedroom, He Bai put on a fawning smile and sat next to him.
“How did you sleep last night? Soon breakfast time.” Di Qiuhe put on a poker face and tried to say that indifferently, he tried so hard not to let He Bai see through he was no longer mad.
“Achoo!”
And there went Di Qiuhe’s entire plan, he hastily grab He Bai a blanket and turned on the heater, but he demanded, “Let’s go to the doctor’s when you are ready.”
“It’s fine, trust me, I’m feeling a whole lot better since the day before yesterday, don’t worry achoo!” He Bai covered his nose and looked at Di Qiuhe guiltily, he forced a dry laugh, “Well, I guess I’m not entirely cured after all, but it’s no big deal, I’ll take a tablet soon.”
Di Qiuhe didn’t find that comforting at all, he couldn’t help but ask, “So you went to the mountains knowing you are still having a cold yesterday, and you weren’t back to the hotel till evening?”
“I’m sorry, I thought I was fully cured.” He Bai apologized.
Seeing that, Di Qiuhe was choked, he didn’t know what to say and he found the way He Bai apologized very familiar, it was usually himself who kept apologizing to He Bai, now the table had turned.
“No, it’s not your fault.” he stroked He Bai’s hair and said that gently, he kissed He Bai on his cheek and added, “It’s me who has said something silly on the ceremonies, and that’s why you caught a cold and left home in the first place, don’t blame yourself.”
He Bai cuddled Di Qiuhe and coaxed, “No, it’s not you, I think I have gone too far this time, I promise it won’t happen again, running away from home is very childish.”
“What are you talking about, you haven’t gone too far at all… …” Di Qiuhe kissed He Bai on his forehead and comforted him gently.
The two had some lovey dovey moments and went to the doctor’s, Di Qiuhe finally felt better knowing He Bai was fine from the doctor.

What made him happier was He Bai agreed to go back home with him.
“Puppy, just relax and get some rest at home, I’ll attend ‘Cheng’s Army’ ceremony myself tomorrow, don’t worry.” said Di Qiuhe gently to He Bai who was lying on the sofa, “I will behave myself at the ceremony and won’t say anything silly, I will listen to you and respect you more.”
He Bai felt so touched and sensitive at the moment, it might be the familiar environment at home or the cold he was having was affecting him, he just wanted to spend more time with Di Qiuhe, he rolled over to cuddle Di Qiuhe and answered, “Yeah, I’ll be home waiting for you.”
Di Qiuhe cuddled him back and said gently, “It won’t be long I suppose.”
He Bai slept like a baby right next to Di Qiuhe that night.
Di Qiuhe got up early the next morning and cooked He Bai some breakfast, He Bai heard Di Qiuhe kiss him goodbye vaguely, but he didn’t fully wake up due to the headache.
He Bai was haunted by the nightmare not long after Di Qiuhe left, this time he felt he was seeing everything more vividly, the whole picture seemed to be zooming. He Bai struggled to wake up, but it was of no avail, soon the pendulum clock and the building became everything he could see. Then a figure on the balcony was approaching, it was Qiuhe! Then a long white arm was reaching out and pushing Qiuhe, a cold night breeze came and it lifted the curtain, He Bai saw a woman’s chin.
“STOP!”
He Bai suddenly opened his eyes and screamed out, the last scene in the nightmare kept flashing across his mind, the next second he jumped out of the bed and sprinted to the living room for his laptop, he founded the photo he deleted the night before.
He moved the mouse around and checked everything carefully, a giant billboard caught his attention, there was a woman half hiding behind the billboard. She was leaning on the billboard with one hand, and her chin was exposed!
His eyes were wide open and he was holding his breath, he tried every way to make the photo more distinct so he could make a comparison.
Based on his experience of a photographer, this chin in the photo was for sure the same chin in his nightmare!
This chin did look so familiar, it looked like it belonged to that quiet Assistant An in Di Qiuhe’s team.
