After two years of constant grinding, Leo's desolate 'Personal Skills' had quite a few additions to it. It wasn't much considering all the study materials that he possessed as well as the true potential of his ability, but it wasn't like he could complain about reaching such heights in so little time!
Once again, he had hit the peak age that he reached as Arthur. However, Leo was now much stronger and had many more options to choose from compared to back then. Even at this point, everything was still a learning process, and he had yet to reach the end of the curve.
In contrast, his statistics barely saw any change aside from the Internal Energy increase brought by the natural growth of the Dantian, but that was only natural. After one went through Body Reconstruction, pushing the Physique any further was a hurdle as hard as breaking through to the next stage. Without dedicating years to the process, spending time on it would only end in vain…
"What can I get you?"
"A Night Star…"
Busying his mind with the Personal Book, Leo gulped down the black ink. Due to the coinciding route, he was back at Unnam, but he wasn't here to get information.
"Ah, Saja-nim! It's an honor to see you again."
As a Transcendent Martial Artist, Leo could now use the Skin Altering Technique quite proficiently, but he stuck with the appearance he used on the first visit this time around.
"I already said there was no need for honorifics, but suit yourself. Are they done?"
"Of course, the two items that you commissioned through us as well as their package are already completed! If you didn't insist on coming to pick them up yourself, we would have sent someone to deliver them to you…"
The Dealer spoke in high spirits, disappearing amid the darkness before returning with a long wooden box that she held using both hands.
"Here, Saja-nim. You can take your time inspecting the goods."
Leo calmly dragged the box to his side, opening it to reveal the two items lying inside, but he was barely holding back his excitement. He had been waiting for this for a while already!
'Let's see…'
The bow, the halberd, and the staff. These were the weapons that Leo had settled on after ruling out the other options that he had.
Regardless of everything else, learning the bow was a necessity as it was one of the most practical long-ranged weapons. With the lack of guns in most conventional fantasy novels, it was a skill that would come in handy in most situations!
After securing his main close-combat skills, it was only natural that he would start to learn something like that. However, Leo didn't stop there, hoping to increase his range of response…
The spear was undeniably a great mid-range weapon, but its movement variety had its limit. Even when used with a great Martial Art such as the Black Dragon's Transformation, it still gave Leo the desire to add to his mid-range arsenal, and that was where the halberd came!
While Leo had originally wanted to learn the Axe, it felt like a redundant waste of precious time. As long as he brought everything back, the combination of his 'Sword Body' and his variable Swordsmanship that included the splitting force of a Great Sword. On the other hand, the lacking conduction of force with the spear could be made up for by using the halberd.
In reality, Leo was hesitant about his choice at the start, fearing that it would be even more redundant than learning the Axe. Fortunately, however, Leo's mastery of the spear made going through the halberd's beginning stages much easier. Shockingly enough, the halberd was the weapon he trained the least, but it was the highest in level when it came to new additions!
"Are they to your liking?"
The items inside the books were precisely the custom bow and halberd that Leo ordered to fit his new needs, and they were…
Swish!
Without sparing any glance at the Dealer, Leo picked up the halberd and performed a whole set of movements from the main Halberd Martial Art that he chose to learn, finishing it with a thud before exchanging it with the bow and trying its pull…
'Perfect!'
Unlike the weapons that he had to pick from the Heavenly Strength Society's treasury, these were weapons that he personally designed to fit his needs!
'It would have been better if I made it myself, but…'
The body of the one using the item knew what was best for it. Normal humans might find it hard to pinpoint their needs, but Transcendents were different! A design wasn't enough to convey everything, but Leo couldn't be picky.
As much as he wanted to do it himself, Leo's Smithing techniques didn't allow him to produce a weapon that could endure a Martial Master's force. In addition, he barely possessed the knowledge to process the mysterious metals found in the Murim. He still tried his hand out on a few models to make a more accurate blueprint, but they were barely enough as consumables. However…
"Indeed, I like them very much."
Was there any need to waste even more time learning a side profession when money could solve everything?
