Chapter 12: Meeting A Nun

A few days had passed and the routine had remained the same for Sora. He would leave his home with Shroud until he mixed in with the crowd and deactivated it and went to school. Then after school on his way home he would do the same, Saji and Koneko had been persistent up until now always following him far enough away they were sure he couldn't spot them. Then they would turn a corner and he would be gone, he was increasingly growing fond of the frustrated annoyed look on Koneko's otherwise emotionless face.  

Of course they would report this to their masters and their suspicions  in him would only grow but frankly Sora wasn't all that concerned at this point.  Ea had questioned him on this a few times about him wanting to avoid the two peerages gazes until he was ready but he just told her the plan had changed. That to move where he wouldn't be suspicious at all would limit him too much and throw a cog into his plans bringing them to a halt.

He told her that although now they would grow more certain that he wasn't a regular human, that wasn't necessarily a bad thing in Sora's eyes. He explained in circumstances such as these it's better to adapt and lean into it then to keep playing the fool.

"*As long as I am not killing a bunch of innocent humans or causing chaos and destruction in their territory they won't harm me.*" He thought "*They will be so focused on trying to figure out who or what I am that their hesitation and second guessing will give me plenty of time to complete phase 2 and then it won't matter.*"

He was now standing on a balcony looking down at a certain bridge while the sun was beginning to set after school. There a brown haired boy was talking to a certain crow in disguise. Sora watched intently as at first the girl was all smiles holding the boy's hand and talking to him sweetly. 

Then the next a frown appeared on her face and she whispered something to the boy then transformed into a dominatrix sort of outfit. before spreading her disgusting black feathered wings and disappearing.

For a few moments the boy just stood there in a daze then suddenly perked up and looked around as if wondering "Why am I here?" Then turned around and started to head back home. Sora stood and watched the whole scene play out before turning his back and heading back to his house with a smile on his face.

"*It seems your plan worked master Sora the fallen angel couldn't sense his sacred gear anymore.*" Said Ea.

"*So it seems I had to keep an eye on him anyway because of how unpredictable that whore is. She might have just killed him anyway.*" He responded "*I was prepared to jump in and save him if that turned out to be the case, but it seems she's more mission oriented then I thought.*" 

"*Well phase 1 was a complete success, preparations for phase two are ready when you are a master.*" She confirmed.

"*Good soon I will be able to stretch my muscles at last and we'll be going on a little crow hunt Ea.*" He said with a sinister smile.

"*Understood master Sora*" She responded emotionlessly.

As he walked home he thought back to Issei and the fate he had stolen from him.

"*Sorry man nothing personal but this is my story now not yours.*" He thought with an apologetic tone as he continued his walk home.

 

Rias POV

At the same time in the Occult Research Club Rias was sitting at her desk with her fake glasses on looking through some files. Koneko had just finished giving her report and findings on Sora or lack thereof. All of her peerage was currently present while their president went over the report.

"You're saying he could sense you and your  familiar following him and you haven't made any new discoveries?" She asked.

Koneko just shook her head and apologized for failing the task she was given. Rias waved it off  and told her it was fine and that they had discovered a few things anyway.

"Well he definitely isn't a normal human." She said as she drank the tea Akeno had prepared for her. "I knew it the second I set eyes on him that there was something different about him.

"Ara Ara, fufufu, So what now president how should we proceed?" Asked Akeno giggling with her eyes almost closed.

"For now we will continue to monitor him until we figure out who or what he is." She said taking off her glasses and setting down her pile of papers. "He isn't harming anyone or causing damage in my territory so he isn't an immediate problem."

In fact in her mind this could be a golden opportunity that could help her solve her current dilemma. As long as he didn't already belong to another peerage then he would be the perfect candidate. The question was how to find out his true nature and how to recruit him.

"Akeno I want you to assist Koneko from now on in keeping tabs on this boy." She said as she stood up from her desk. "Whatever he is, I doubt he will be able to avoid both of your detection's."

"Ara Ara as you wish Rias." She responded with a smile while Koneko just gave her a thumbs up.

"*Sora Raizel I will uncover whatever it is you're hiding.*" Rias thought to herself as she looked out the window at the setting sun.

The next day

Sora was walking down a different routine he was getting annoyed at the constant watch dogs always following trying to figure out where he lived. When he heard a sudden crash and fall. 

He turned towards the sound and found a young girl dressed as a nun facing down with her skirt flipped and her white panties exposed. A devilish smile appeared in Sora's head as he deactivated the shroud and approached the young girl.

"Excuse me, are you alright." He said with a sweet voice while reaching his hand out to help her.

"Oh, oh I'm ok really." The young nun said as she wiped her eyes and turned towards the source of the voice. Then suddenly her headset flew off because of the wind as she faced Sora.

As she looked up she became mesmerized looking into the handsome boy's silver eyes. She blushed heavily and felt her stomach fill with butterflies. She nervously took the boy's hand as he helped her up. He helped her pick up her belongings and retrieved her head dress before it flew away. After the items were squared away they both introduced themselves.

"G, good morning my name is Asia Argento." She said nervously with her cute face blushing ever so slightly.

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Asia Argento, my name is Sora V. Raizel." He responded by giving her a kind smile showing off his pearly white teeth.

Asia just blushed even more in response where it seemed like steam would come out of her ears. They agreed to walk together and exchanged mutual pleasantries as they went down the road. 

He had asked if she was some kind of tourist but she informed him that she had been assigned to serve the church in the town. She said how she was happy she could've met someone kind like Sora and that god must really be looking out for her after all.

As they continued to walk the crossed paths with a young boy who scraped his knee and was crying. Asia rushed to the boy's side and used her powers to heal the boy's leg while comforting him.

"*So that's twilight healing huh.*" Sora thought to himself as he watched her help the boy.

After she finished helping the boy they both continued their journey through town. He had complimented her healing powers which she appreciated saying she felt they were both a gift and a blessing. 

After walking some more they spotted the old church at the top of the hill in town. Asia became ecstatic and wanted Sora to accompany her inside so she could thank him properly to which he politely declined. She seemed a little down trotted when Sora offered her a gift.

He handed her a special beaded bracelet and told her if she was ever in trouble or really wanted to see him again she just had to hold the bracelet close and say his full name. Which she promptly did as he handed her the gift which made Sora laugh as he explained it wouldn't work since he was already standing there. 

Asia bowed and thanked him repeatedly for the gift as she slipped it on her wrist she then waved goodbye to him and made her way to the old church. Sora then turned and began making his way to the school.

"*Asia I feel bad that I have to let you walk into a viper's nest, but don't worry I will free you from your pain when the time is right*" He thought to himself as he continued his way to school.
