Flashback/Noises

[...Voices...]

{...???...}

Darkness...

You barely could see anything in the space but heavy breathing. The once luxurious room was now a mess with broken pieces of delicate objects all over the floor.

"Huff... Huff..."

Knock

A noise was heard against the door. A whisper so quietly that the person can't hear but hears it clearly against his ringing ears.

"...Meal ready..."

The room stayed silent. The stiff person behind the door slowly walked away from the shut door, outside of the gloomy aura that was leaking out of the room.

Heard the footsteps finally fading away. The person slowly took his head out of his arms. He blankly stared at the door.

[...Poison...]

[...Want...Died...]

[...Blood...]

"Ugh..."

He covered his ears that were continuously ringing in his mind. He curled up in pain, placing his head against his knees.

"No... Stop..."

He was already dry from tears as he pleaded. He pleaded that those horrible voices would just disappear and leave him alone.

[...Pathetic...]

"N-no... I'm not..."

[...Unworthy heir with no talent...]

"Stop, stop it... Please..."

[...Cursed Child...]

[...Monster...]

Was he?

[...Monster...Monster...Monster...Monster...Monster...Monster...Monster...Monster...Monster...Monster...Monster...Monster...Monster...Monster...]

All he could hear was the mockery of the voices and the constant and familiar word, monster, in his head like they were chanting some ritual.

Huff Huff Huff

{...Outside...}

'Outside?'

He pitifully raised his head to see the shut windows being completely covered by the wide curtains. A sudden realization struck him.

'Right! Outside!'

He got up clumsy, nearly tripping over his foot. If there is no light going through the curtains, it means there is no sun or moon up in the sky which made his situation worse.

Those annoying but frightening voices in his head would be more active while the sun and moon are away. He was truly in a bad situation where he lives in a place where summer rarely comes by in the north of the continent.

But if he just went to that location...

He hurriedly climbed up the window with his small body. He fearfully gazed down while he tightly held the window's side.

Phew

He took a deep breath and exhaled to calm his intense body. Hesitating in jumping from the third floor, he fiddled with the window before making up his mind.

Swoosh

He jumped out of the window still while shutting his eyes tightly and then opening them.

Before he could make a landing on the tree, he felt unbalanced. He panicked and stretched out his hand to grab one of its branches but was too late.

"N-no..."

He felt a strong impact on the side of his head as he fell.

Blood spluttered from his temples as he panted heavily. Tears started to well up in his eyes. He was surprised at the tears he still has.

[...Wow...]

Giggle

[...Look at him cry after not successfully making a landing...]

Ahahahaha

[...How dare he think so highly of himself just because he's a noble...]

Before he could even fall out of consciousness, he could hear the mockery as clear as day. Do they not have a conscience about how he would feel?

"There was never even a conscience to them to speak off..."

He couldn't help thinking aloud as his vision slowly blurred.

'Right, a crazy person like me who hears these cruel and unknown voices is truly out of sanity.'

He chuckled at his laughable situation. His parents won't even believe his situation when he went to complain to him.

Will no one believe him and continue to call him a manic or monster as he grows out from this torturing childhood?

His wet eyelashes kept descending. His body continued trembling and shaking from the chills.

His head hurt, his nose was congested, and his throat ached.

Thinking that way, he tearfully shut his eyes as he finally lost consciousness.

{...How the hell was this child born...}
