On the following day, I arrived at the basement after a good rest.
I looked around, noticing the three nobles from the other day along with a bunch of others. My feet took me to them, as most of them bowed in my presence.
"Good morning your highness, I've come today to clarify yesterday's argument. I've gathered most of the heads of the diverse noble families here with me."
"Bernard and Anita ask for a few extra people to help you and carry some benches so that our guests can be seated.
"At once," they replied.
'They sure moved fast. I bet they spent the whole day talking to everyone, but that makes it easier for me.'
I take a seat near the bench, the usual one closeby to the anvil facing them, and then I speak, eloquently, "yesterday I became the ruler of this forest. From that moment and onward, I now hold the whole territory power within my hands, having the ex-king and ex-queen as my current advisors," shock spread through their faces as they realized they were too late.
'Damn, we still can probably manage something about this,' the leader of the nobles thought.
"There seem to be some misunderstandings among you, so allow me to clarify everything. Firstly I am indeed erasing the noble and peasant ranks."
'We won't allow it!' The three nobles in the front shared the same line in their minds.
Some faces became depressed and others were angry with a few disappointed ones.
"Secondly I will not remove any fairy working under you or any territory you've gained through your bloodline."
'She won't!? In that case, nothing would change we'd still be nobles just not in name. Right?' Many of them thought around these lines.
Their faces became less negative, giving way to some confusion to surge.
"Thirdly as you all must know by now I have a very simple wish. To become the winner of the war that is to come. For this, I'm willing to do everything possible to the best of my ability in keeping all the fairies that live in this forest and the ones that will be born in the future, to survive and live as happy as they can."

'It sounds like the successor is trying to improve the lives of everyone, not just us the nobles, is that why she started all this?' The noble leader thought, finding a hard time within himself to dislike me.
The expressions in front of me seemed to lose the remnants of negativity as they understood that I saw them as part of my family.
"Seeing as everyone is my family, I declare everyone equally under me the ruler. A leader who will do best to the extent of my abilities to reward those who work hard for my wish, be it in farming, mining, at war killing our enemies, and every other thing that I'll have figured out soon enough."
Some faces started to look positively as they heard me talking while others remained crudely neutral.
"I do understand that for some of you the ranks meant superiority, authority. However, I must ask all of you a simple tiny thing."
Their faces became curious about my statement and they waited patiently for my next words.
With a devilish expression, I questioned such vermins, "do you prefer to have authority and a noble rank and die to our enemies, or serve under me and remain alive to tell the tale? I raised from the chair and a greatsword strikes the floor as I hold it vertically, holding the pommel with both of my hands, keeping my body fully straight, looking down from above.
Some of them gulped as they felt oppressed and fearful, yet they also felt that their choice could very well mean the ending of their life, or who knows, the beginning of a new one with a possible bright further.
Very few nobles started kneeling eventually all of them slowly followed the example of the first ones, after some minutes all of them were kneeling including the three in the front, realizing they had lost.
"While the rank itself will cease to exist I will still need advisors, leaders, and people to support me and command others in what's to come, these ranks will have their own authority and functions, so if you work hard for my wish, I promise you will be rewarded."
'This woman is fucking crazy, but I can't do anything about it as everyone ended up kneeling, if I didn't I would most likely be slain,' the leader of the group of the nobles thought, cursing me in his mind, planning something treacherous within him.
I lifted the sword and struck it with all my strength on the floor making a loud sound.
They raised their heads facing me and chanted out loud, multiple times, "all hail ruler Flamerah."
