Middle Ocean, Abyssal Zone.
The undersea volcano where I built my nest exploded, the kinetic and thermal energy expanding out of control, creating a brief flash of light in the black abyss at the bottom of the ocean where I made my home millennia ago.
I flexed my mana before more damage could be done, a blast of icy steam rising above the wreckage my nest had become and reaching the outskirts of what was once my abode to freeze everything, being just a small expression of my true power, the ice will melt quickly, the overwhelming heat and pressure doing its job of stabilizing the environment without difficulty.
I let my mana pool dance inside me, furious at what had happened. It wasn't the explosion of my nest that made me furious, I managed to resolve it in time, what pissed me off was how some unfortunate stole the nomad soul I was summoning.
All it took was one Nomad Soul to potentially solve my problems, especially with the biggest one, the Law of Chance that chained me away from the surface after I rose to power to challenge the gods or become one of them.
I wasn't the only one capable of calling a wandering soul to this plane, not even by a long shot, although there were few capable of interfering with my summoning spell and still stealing the soul I was summoning, someone must be very desperate to try.
"Are you desperate? Well, so am I. No matter where you are, I'll get back what you stole from me, little mouse."
In the deepest place of the ocean, a monstrous voice reverberated, in the absolute darkness of the place nothing that inhabited there could distinguish who or what was the owner of the voice, but the titanic power that his voice carried was enough to know that it was not something normal .
???
In an unknown place where everything was white, where there was no sense of direction or depth, there lived a stunning woman.
Golden currents flowed haphazardly from white space, without a pattern or any form of order, simply emerging from the flexible confines of the stark white world and converging on the woman. The currents plunged into the body of the only person present, disappearing into her smooth skin as if they were illusions.
The woman in question had her head down, too tired to even try to move, but a small smile blossomed on her lips, capable of charming anyone, even if she had no one to look at.
"Welcome, lost child. May your road be full of adventure... and blood."
