Desires residing in the deepest of darkness, one slowly returning to the surface. A heart evermore soft, a resolve forever strong. Hatred boiling at the core, one loathing the field of battle. No matter so, eternally having to fight. A birth being a curse of an existence, one residing underneath the blood moon. A time of joy once of a possibility, that one having so much love for the worlds. Now only anguish remaining, an existence filling with anger. Cold the night is, never relenting for even a moment. The castle overrunning with demons, horror around every corner. Deep underground, a room hiding away in the furthest reaches. That seal upon the ground keeping the Lord of Darkness inside of a prison, his claw pounding against the pentagram. Frustration deep inside of him, hatred burning from his eyes. The dragon thinking back to the god who has done such a thing, that arrogant voice ringing through his mind.

Valor standing in front of the Lord of Darkness, his body slightly hanging low, blood dripping from him. Those eyes refusing to give in, to be able to find a way towards a brighter morrow, that seal upon another in exposure. A move of desperation, to bring back one from the abyss. His heart doing so for his own reasoning as well, to be able to see that person once again. Dire the situation may be, but it is certainly not hopeless. Hades approaching the god, Valor backing away from him. Even in such a pitiful state, Valor indeed once being the supreme god, that deity putting up quite a resistance. Steam burning from the mighty jaw of the dragon, azure fire raging around the field.

"I must admit, for someone who is well on their way to the afterlife, you can certainly put up a resistance." Hades commending.

Valor glancing around the room, paying attention to specific key points in the throne of the Dark Lord. The situation appearing even more grim by the moment, the thickness of the surrounding air making things even more undesirable. Every step of the way, the god thinking what that one from so long ago will do. Even when in the face of the nigh impossible, that one from the shadows always finding a solution. That heart reaching many, their image eternally engraving into the souls of countless. Desires evermore strong, to be able to see that person again. Valor's vision fixating on the dragon, taking a step forward, expanding his arms towards Hades.

"Come on you overgrown iguana, is that all you can do? If that's all, then I might as well just kill you now." He daringly declares.

His voice projecting confidence, his eyes reflecting the bravery he has come to know from his old friend. No matter the turmoil at hand, there is always a solution. Even if the chances are minuscule at best, it is never truly hopeless. That one from so long ago grabbing hold of the nigh impossible, making the slimmest of chances into a reality. His body being in no shape to endure even a single attack, but that is okay. So long as he is still drawing breath, there is always a way. Desperation at the core, that deity facing against the mighty dragon. An all or nothing gamble, one final move to make in this game of chance that is life.

"If it is a death wish you have, then I will grant you such!"

Expanding his mighty wings, Hades mightily roaring. Intense waves of negative energy rushing through the room, the deity blocking out the severity of it. His vision evermore in determination, that heart yearning to see those days of the past once again. Wrongs far inside, one that has been unable to reach out. This chance finally coming once more, his determination to make things right. Hades rushing at him, the eyes of the god lightening, a sly smile coming to his face. Dashing away, evading the strike of the Lord of Darkness. That claw crashing against the ground, rubble flying into the air. Hades revealing his mighty fangs, lunging at the god. That beast approaching by the moment, a barrier surrounding the throne room of the Dark Lord. Hades colliding into it, a powerful seal burning against his scales.

"Gyah...!!"

Hades falling to the ground, the room violently shaking. Valor standing outside of the barrier, folding his arms. Some relief coming over the deity, feeling proud of that little trick. In all reality, even this gamble is far too much for his liking. A trickster he is, remaining quite clever over the years. Every step of the way, that god preparing himself for the return of one so long ago. To be able to reach out this time, to be able to finally console that person. His heart forever in pain, constantly granting one desire after the next. This night providing an opportunity, to be able to truly accomplish the nigh impossible.

"Hah! How do ya like them apples?" Valor proudly smiling.

Hades slowly rising to his feet, steam escaping from his body. The dragon angrily growling, acid dripping from his jaws, sinking into the ground below. Smoke rising into the air, a foul scent extending far and wide. Those eyes of his expressing some unease, that deity still having a trick or two up his sleeves. No doubt it has been of a foolish error, Valor no longer holding his title, but still showing why he has even been so great in the first place. All powerful he may not be, but quite cunning he is. That deity making up for his weakness in one way or another, a truly formidable foe he is.

"If you think such a pitiful seal will bind me! You are sorely mistaken!" his voice echoing through the room.

Valor turning from Hades, casually shrugging. The god finding the dragon's anger that of humor at this point. This seal being far from anything ordinary, the deity going up and beyond. Those desires inside of him, to see that one so long ago. To be able to right those many wrongs inside of his past, to finally reach out. Perhaps this time, that old friend can finally put down their arms, and simply live as they please. That smile ever so long ago, that heart filling with so much love for the worlds, now replacing with hatred. Painful it is, to be unable to do anything, yet there has been a solution. If only that night so long ago has gone a different way, then certainly that smile will not have been no more. Only a facade remaining, a way for them to carry on from day to day.

"Good-luck, that seal is as strong as the one I put on the Iconoclast." Valor glancing back to him.

"The Iconoclast? That is supposed to be a legend and nothing more." Hades growling at him.

"There is so much you do not remember, Hades." That god calmly looking ahead.

Those many years ago, a promise so long ago. Painful it has been, granting the selfish desires of the Iconoclast. A heart evermore in pain, yet always doing everything he can, no matter how far he must reach, no matter how little it is. The voice of the deity infuriating Hades, that one speaking as if he is already victorious. Fire brightly burning from the jaws of the dragon, Hades unleashing the fearsome flames upon the god ahead of him. Valor calmly standing, the barrier repelling the assault, dispersing the flames into nothing. The dragon taking a step back, his eyes trembling, deep unease building inside of him.

"Kiss my ass dragon, I am gonna go find someone now." Valor proudly mocking.

"I am gonna murder you!" Hades yelling.

"Hah! Good-luck with that." That god shrugging, walking onward.

The night may be grim, but that is okay. After all, someone from the deepest of shadows is slowly returning. That heart evermore soft, those endless emotions rising once again. Valor soon stopping in his tracks, looking on, a black mist encircling him. Devils revealing themselves out of the darkness, all of them eagerly awaiting to tear him apart. The malevolence sickening all around, perhaps a slight miscalculation if anything. Either way, it is definitely better than dealing with the Lord of Darkness. Even if the chances are not in his favor, there is definitely a way towards a brighter morrow.

"Huh...perhaps I spoke too soon...well, you have practice of this. You once ran from Cyra for two weeks straight, and in a much worse situation than this. Okay...here goes..." He steps back, the demons approaching him.

That event engraving inside of the mind of Hades, hatred boiling at his core. For him to fall for such a trap, a seal in equivalence to that of the Iconoclast. The Lord of Darkness still thinking of those words, uncertain whether they are the truth or not. The dragon looking on, seeing his freedom right out of his grasp. A single error, to think he can fall for such a ruse. To allow that deity to create such a powerful seal, everything being within his claws. Everything coming into place, only for Valor to create yet another opening. That young woman roaming around, the longer she is out there, the more critical the situation is becoming. No doubt at this point, the faster she is playing into his claws, the safer it will be to proceed.

"What could be the delay with that angel?" Hades growing very impatient.

"Oh? You mean, Cyra."

Hearing that voice, the Dark Lord turning his attention to the winged being floating outside of the barrier. Those dark feathers scattering on the ground below, those azure eyes meeting his menacing own. The fallen one looking upon the massive beast, a king suffering imprisonment within his own throne. If anything, Rose is finding it quite impressive. For Valor to be able to do such a thing, perhaps making her job a bit easier. Many turning points this night is having, and no doubt with each shift, her opportunity is slowly moving along. The fallen angel flying towards him, soon floating in front of the Lord of Darkness.

"Hmph, you are her other half." Annoyance protruding from the Dark Lord.

"Aye, you seem so frustrated being trapped in this hellhole." Rose faintly smiling.

"That is putting it very lightly, I would never imagine that god to have such energy left to put this seal upon me." Anger growing within Hades voice.

One possessing quite a few tricks, desperate the situation may have been, yet a solution remaining in place. Thinking back now, Hades regretting that confrontation with Valor. That deity having a strong bond with the angel, going to any distance. Those two old friends constantly protecting the other, apart they are vulnerable, but together they are an almost impenetrable duo. Even after turning the tides of the battle, that bond still playing a role in his imprisonment. No matter so, despite these setbacks, the war is slowly turning, and there is a chance for him to claim victory. Even if the path is not of the original, there is definitely more than one way to obtain success.

"She is heading to intercept Richter, you know he will fail to retrieve the body." Rose folding her arms, her expression becoming a bit more serious.

"Which is why I am counting on you. When she returns, take that body and bring it to me. After all, if you can best her, you claim your very own life. Now is that not a very sweet deal?" Hades questions.

"Oh very much indeed, for an old dragon, you certainly know how to sweet-talk your way into a deal." She holds her hand to her cheek a bit in a girlish manner.

Two halves once whole, one of malice, the other of innocence. Despite this, the one of innocence possessing an even darker secret. A resolve deep inside, Rose witnessing this herself, even if for a moment. Despite the weakness of Cyra, that young woman always finding a way to move onward. Admirable if not infuriating, that resolve reminding her of another. Difficult it may be, but if she can best the angel, then certainly her troubles will be over. It will also mean the perfect time to engage her own desires, to be able to move beyond being a shadow.

"Old? Hah, anyway, have you prepared the Accursed in that foolish human's stead?" Hades questions, calmly looking upon her.

"Of course, one is guarding the gate, another is guarding the interior, and the final one is protecting the path to you. She will have to defeat all of them, and when she is tired, I will kill her and take that body," Rose explaining.

"Excellent, your efforts have been most promising." He complements.

Turning from the dragon, a devilish grin coming to her face. Everything slowly setting into place, even if she must play the part of a loyal soldier for a bit. That body no doubt holding the answer she is seeking, to be able to achieve those desires deep inside of her. Even if she must sully her hands even more, then that is okay. One continuously pushing onward, forcing past her limitations. All to put a close on a chapter, to put an end to her feud with her other half. To be able to grasp what she cannot, to move beyond living in the shadow of another.

"This is all according to plan." She cleverly thinks.

The night turning once again, the pieces slowly coming into place. The Lord of Darkness using all that he can in order to achieve his own end, that fallen one extending her hand in this game of chance that is life. Fruitful this event is playing out for her, the fallen angel intending to take advantage of every moment. Slightly chuckling, Rose flying away from the scene. No matter the morrow ahead, even if the sorrow is great, desires burning infinitely within the night. Dreadful it may be, but this is also the path in resisting what is reasoning.

—The Past Revisited—

Over the clouds, passing far above the many worlds below, the realm of the gods, and home to the angels being in existence. Floating platforms extending for countless distances, chains connecting the many. That ancient gateway reaching high into the sky, from far below, a tower extending into the heavens, an archangel floating high above it. The young woman looking down upon the humans, eyes evermore cold. Her appearance mesmerizing, while also driving fear into them. Even after so much conflict, never a moment's rest. Her heart in agony, desperately trying to maintain its softness. Resting her vision upon a human, seeing him expanding his arms towards her.

"Angel, hear us out. Let us speak with the gods." He pleads.

Their voices agonizing her, hatred building inside of her by the moment. The young woman continuing to look upon the humans, trying to maintain that soft heart of hers. Despite it all, those endless emotions flowing inside of her. Pain ever so deep, an endless nightmare never seeming to come to a conclusion. That angel trying to maintain a calm demeanor, directing Reviver at the man presenting himself before her presence. Never a moment's rest, always one problem after the next, an eternal struggle. That heart wishing to be free, the soul shackling to the land. One desiring to put down their arms, yet never being able to do so.

"Foolish humans...any who dares to defile thine home shall be met with retribution." She coldly speaks.

Her cold eyes are upon the humans, malevolence slowly burning from her body. Hatred building even more inside of her, ignorant the humans are. Her heart forever crying out, despair clawing away at her soul. These endless emotions yearning to be free from its torment, yet this can never be. That one once filling with so much love, now having only hatred filling the void. Those desires far inside of her, to be able to return to her most pleasureful days. To be able to truly smile once again, even if she is an enemy, then that is fine. Those all around will learn what it is like to provoke the fangs of another, sorrowful it may be, but this being the will to continue on.

"Foolish humans, a pact was made that in return for the knowledge given, you shall never try and reach the heavens." She explains in a slightly threatening tone.

"I know, but please, hear us out!" he persists.

Persistent they are, always one problem after the next. Raising Reviver, her eyes glaring down at the humans. Looking upon her, uneasiness inside of their eyes, watching her twirling her staff in her hand, electrical energy surging through her. That power flowing into the weapon, the angel unleashing the mighty energy upon the humans. Lightning descending, crashing into the tower, ripping it apart, destroying the land far below. That angel watching the crumbling tower, those humans plummeting in devastation, their screaming falling on deaf ears.

"Thy punishment for thine ignorance...thou shall never know the salvation of death. Live thine lives in eternal misery."

Those eyes of horror, their voices of hatred upon her. Turning away, the humans falling to the land below. That angel flying away from the tragic scene, the humans shouting their lungs out, the tower falling in pieces. Emotions far inside, hatred boiling at the core. One continuously dealing with one conflict after another, those feelings never having a moment's rest. One wishing to simply move away from the conflict, however, that being but an impossibility. A curse of an existence, one always having to push ahead on their own. Despair gripping at the soul, even through this, there is always a light.
