—Meanwhile—
A night more at an unrest, emotions of highness. One from the deepest of abyss rebounding to the surface, devils all around growing fearful. That image returning to their souls, those eyes clawing away at them by the moment, one so long ago, that heart persistently continuing on. Deep into the night, a darker atmosphere resting around massive walls. A kingdom residing the most ferocious, the will of the dragons, a sub species of a race one can call them. Dragonkins holding onto the will of mighty beasts, extending from the ground to high into the sky revealing a massive castle. Highbred's possessing the power of a dragon, human-like in appearance, but their true nature unveiling in battle. None wishing in trifling with this race, numerous nations falling to them.
Through the magnificent labyrinth of a garden, deeper within, passing the halls so high. Statues lining the interior, paintings of differing times resting on the walls, carpets of luxury paving the way, a throne room soon in view. From within, the ceiling to the ground below, fine decors all around. A crimson carpet lining to the seat of the throne, statues of mighty dragons along the walls, every part of the room representing the pride of the dragon Prince. The Prince of dragons sitting down at his throne, scales black as the night, eyes in reflection to the sea. His vision at an unrest, carefully thinking on the situation at hand. This never ending night, the presence of several powerful entities in the world of the humans.
Gods having responsibility for this nightmare, such is of certainty from him. Worsening the situation is at every turn, grimness intensifying. Uneasiness gripping at him, not from the presence of deity, but another existing on the realm of the humans. The door to the throne opening, this catching his attention. Resting his vision ahead, his servant arriving. Scales glistening in the night, crimson as the moon itself, eyes gentle like the wind. A dragon she is much like himself, the servant nervously making her way towards him. That Prince gazing upon her, revealing a smile. Rising from his seat, meeting her halfway. That shy one standing there, slightly looking down.
"Lucia, is it true that someone is trying to resurrect the late king?" the Prince positioning his arms in a thinking posture.
"Yes sire, but...it is not the life of the king they seek, but his body." She informs him.
"His body you say? That is very odd." He glances away.
One trying to resurrect the body of the king, strangeness within the night at every turn. That Prince wondering of the purpose, the service that it can provide. Questions plaguing his mind, yet the answers eluding him. Unnerving the situation is, the nature of it stirring his stomach. Extraordinary abilities of the late king, one capable of leveling armies. No matter so, a body simply of such, difficulty in identifying a reasoning for restoring it without the soul. Infinite in mystery the night is, the most unusual of outcomes coming at hand. That prince listening on, this development very much catching his interest.
"They wish to give his body to Hades, since he is the last descendant of the Harmonizers." She explains.
Information catching his attention, everything making sense now. A beast requiring the body of a human, one never thinking about the reasoning for Raiser's power. News most unsettling, a race from ancient times, guardians setting into place in the world of the humans, their existence slowly going away over time. Despite it all, one still remaining. Even without the soul of the king, his body serving other purposes. A bit frightening it is, surprising one may say. Concern growing inside of the Prince, a reality of harshness steadily setting in. One capable of thriving in the night, his servant slowly descending into madness. That dragon desperately trying to stop this horror, knowing well of the outcome if he does not.
"If that is to happen...this endless night will never cease..." A cold chill running down his spine.
Lucia looking upon him, in awareness of the distress she is causing him. The night slowly bringing out the deepest of darkness inside of her, a transformation that is eating away at the Prince. Guilt slowly coming over her, that dragon always doing everything he can. Ever since the beginning of the night, that Prince working hard in bringing it to an end. One solution after the next of no use, that bleeding moon shining down its beautiful light. The daylight seeming so far away, one like a distant memory.
"Your orders?" she slightly looks down.
That servant always willing to do whatever she can, that one person he can rely on most. Since those days inside of the past, that one always standing at his side. Some fear the Prince is feeling, wondering of the possibility of his failure, the night claiming one of closeness. Even so, there is only so much that he can do on his own. Those two always tackling a situation together, no matter how bleak it may seem. More often than not, her actions in success. Even those days when she has not been, that servant taking it quite heavy. That dragon lifting her spirit however so he can, one cannot always succeed, but can only do their best.
"Lucia, there is no time to spare, try and secure the body." Great urgency protruding from his voice.
"Very well." She bows.
The situation at hand unnerving the Prince of dragons, this war becoming worse by the moment. His servant slowly descending into madness, his fear far inside of him. Lucia turning away, heading onward. The Prince distantly resting his eyes upon her, witnessing her leaving the room. The closing of the door making his heart race a bit, facing away, hanging his head low, his fists shaking in frustration. No matter how hard he is trying, it is never seeming to be enough. That dragon thinking back to the past, where the sunlight has been evermore bright. Those days of joy, worries but an impossibility.
Days of the past, the warm light shining down in a field of flowers. A lake not too far, the freshness of the air all around. Birds flying across the sky, smaller animals running through. Lucia sitting in those fields, holding a rabbit in her arms. That smile of brightness upon her, gently rubbing its head. The dragon Prince sitting at her side, looking up into the endless sky. Those two always being together since their youngest days, that servant never really of a brave one in the presence of others. Yet her capabilities out on the field surpassing much above others, strange really, but everyone of differences in some way. Animals rushing over to her, this taking her by surprise. Rabbits, squirrels, and other smaller animals jumping at her.
"Aah!!"
Lucia falling back, her eyes resting on the animals all around her. That Prince looking down at her, merely laughing. Pleasureful it is, simply embracing these experiences with his old friend. Embarrassing it is really, Lucia feeling a bit flush. A sigh escaping her, that young woman sitting up, looking at him a bit in frustration. Picking up a squirrel, raising it in the direction of the Prince. Her eyes meeting his own, some uneasiness coming over him. Extending her hand, pulling open the top of his armor, dropping it in. The Prince immediately rising to his feet, desperately trying to get the animal out. Running around, Lucia pointing at him, laughing at him. After some time, the Prince standing before her, unamusing of this. That servant brightly smiling at him, a sigh escaping the young man, scratching the back of his head.

Days of the past inside of his mind, that smile in those times. This night slowly taking it away, his grieving heart. That will to continue on, to see those times once again. Even if it is but a somber morrow, so long as that old friend can remain at his side just as she is, then that is all that is mattering. Darkness plaguing the world of the humans, despair clawing away at the soul. New developments around each corner, that will to oppose what is reasoning taking hold. Even if the chances are minuscule at best, it is well worth holding onto hope. That Prince of Dragons gazing at his hand, his eyes of distantness.
"There has to be more to it than the body. Either way, I have to end this night, Lucia probably cannot last much longer..."
Out in the wasteland, deep in a valley, a woman resembling that of the Dragonkins appearing on the run. Stopping for a moment, trying to catch her breath, looking back, gauging the distance of her pursuer. Eyes carrying the ferocity of the dragons, a fiery red continuing to resist. Strangeness in it all, one without horns like most of the race. Distress clearly within her eyes, constantly looking over her shoulder. That woman wondering how long she has been on the run, that question eluding her. Ever since the beginning of this endless night, the faltering of one of dearness, the woman having to flee. Footsteps approaching, that woman quickly glancing around.
"Oh? There you are my Queen hm hm."
An unsettling emotion befalling the Queen, fear growing deep inside of her. Her heart trembling at that voice, turning her attention directly ahead, seeing Richter standing from a distance. That former knight folding his arms, giving her a smile for old times sake. A thorn in the side she has been, difficulty in tracking her down. Taking a step back, her begrudging eyes upon him. Vision of naturalness, none ever feeling ecstatic in seeing a traitor. Uncaring the former knight is, his own desire in mind, to finally achieve what has been of impossibility before. Every step of the way, the eternal night bringing him closer towards his goal.
"Richter...how could you...?" she hatefully questions.
A sigh escaping him, calmly shrugging. A question of most expectance, if not ignorant. Wondering of the reasoning in explaining himself, that Queen no less one part in the grief deep inside of him. A dividing line it may be, ensuring his enemies knowledge of rationality. This hatred within him, those desires boiling even hotter. Even if the sorrow is but a great one, he will continue onward. That wish deep inside of him, to see everything through to the end. The unforgiving night, that bleeding light shining down upon the land so far below.
"Don't give me that, you and your husband were the reason for the destruction of my family. It's only right that I give you the same taste of pain I have felt..." Richter slightly looking away in disgust.
"..."
His family, this information of sensibility to the Queen. Horrible it has been for him, that young man from those days no more than an outcast. The action of Raiser alienating him, a place of solace not in existence. Despite it all, Raiser taking him in, trying to give him an actual family again. No matter so, that pain never leaving the former knight. Those of royalty treating him as the common peasant, no matter of the heights. Never a moment of bliss, that hatred manifesting for years upon years. The one taking away his joy, his home. Regret of the past, despair in those times. Desires inside of him, to have those times once again. Before the invasion of Raiser, before everything has gone to hell for him.
"My, if you haven't given up your pride as a dragon, then maybe you would have a chance against me, but you just had to fall in love with that king. What a shame, but that is life ya know." He shrugs.
Life it is indeed, unpredictability of the next outcome. Joy in the days of ignorance, even more when meeting another. Even if it is for a fleeting moment, that bliss to live with one of dearness. Ever since the meeting with the king, her happiness of greatness. That night, her husband losing his life to a mysterious enemy, grief coming upon her. Chaos ensuing, disarray around every corner. That woman fleeing into the night, that former knight pursuing her, finally catching up to her after so much time.
"I do not regret the decision I made, not even for a second." She holds her hand to her chest, her stern eyes upon the man.
Unsurprising words, a bit sickening in all actuality. That one embracing in such blissful times, while he has been nothing but an outcast. Jealousy over the years, others having a place of belonging. Hatred deep inside of him, those desires burning even brighter. The night bringing him some hope, to finally be able to have those times of bliss once again. No matter the morrow, no matter the sorrow, he will continue on. A heart to be free, a soul shackling down to the land. Those days of joy in the past, those responsible for the grief far within him. Dreadful it may be, but that will to resist taking hold.
"I do not doubt you do, farewell..." His tone much more serious upon her.
Revealing his blade shining underneath the moonlight, that Queen stepping back. Deeply inhaling and exhaling, unleashing fearsome fire upon her foe. Flames of harshness engulfing the former knight, a massive inferno stretching high into the sky. Striking the relentless fire, those flames dispersing, particles of the inferno raining down upon the land. Richter looking ahead, frustration growing deep inside of him. A clever one the Queen has been, no more than a ruse to escape. That woman no longer having her former capabilities, but certainly her ferocity still remaining. A most disappointing outcome, but this is hardly mattering at the moment. Extending his blade, the former knight placing it away. Those eyes of his resting on the open path, his destination in mind.
"Hmph...well played. However, I will be meeting you soon." He calmly states.
Richter walking onward, having no more words to spare, his destination clear in mind. For now the small problem with the Queen having to wait, something of much more importance to tend to. Infinite the night is, around every corner having a new result. Interesting it is, but also unnerving. Desires far inside of the former knight, that hatred at his core. A wish of deepness inside of him, to finally have what has been gone. Dreadful it may be, going so far, but such is the will to oppose what is reasoning. Turmoil around every corner, a heart yearning to be free, that soul shackling to the land. Even if the chances are minuscule at best, that former knight taking hold of the nigh impossible.
