His eyes shot open, bloodshot and dilated. His mouth was dry and his lungs burned. His body lurched and his eyes flashed blue as his body restarted. He hungrily sucked in oxygen, his lungs absorbing more than he would expect possible.
"Oh, god," he groaned, not knowing he wasn’t breathing for more than an hour. His body writhed and his vision spotted, as the arcane blue withdrew and multicolored irises remained.
HP:1,100/9,600
His health flashed threateningly before his blackening vision. Subsequently, he felt an ethereal pull, and his mana appeared unannounced to the left of his health.
Mana: 617/20,400
His body clenched and spasmed, less than previously but Still quite a painful experience. His uncontrollable body settled As he rested amongst the roses. He checked his extremities, wriggling toes and clenching and unclenching his hands. After some time, he began to feel regular, with no pain or uncontrollable body movements, which felt like hours. Still,In actuality, mere minutes showed what an ordeal he underwent.

He attempted to stand, but his legs buckled, and he fell to one knee. He drew in a few deep breaths.
Resistance didn't come with details, yet he understood what it entailed. Was this his Insight? Or some form of conceptual understanding of his abilities.
He glanced at his health and noticed the downward spiral had ceased, and a slow trickle of health began to regen.
He sat cross-legged and allowed himself time to adjust. His boost in attributes suddenly hadn't done him any favors.
He needed more understanding and scanned his status sheet in wonder, he was Isekai'd, unbelievable as that was, and there were the pathways and the sense he had of each one. He also knew he was capable of five at one time; he didn't know if that was normal or if he was a special case
His attributes. And what they meant pooled inside his head, information he had always known. He just needed to recall it.
Esprit measures overall health and wellness. The higher the attribute, the more apt he could deal with sickness and recover from wounds. Might measure physical power, carrying limits and physical attack, and defense. Grace is a combination of appearance and movement, while the attribute Essence measured his mana pool, magical spells, and m.defense. Insight measured my awareness of self and surroundings. Clarity measures his overall reasoning and memory. It also affects his other attributes and talents, and masteries. Resolve measures the body and mind's ability to push past hardships and current limits.
He withdrew from his mind numerous Notifications still pending, awaiting his inspection and continuing to crowd his vision. His mind twisted and turned as newer information was implanted inside of him.
Before him, a leather holster that seemed to fit around his thigh landed near him. A deck of cards plopped down next seemingly out of nowhere, but his newfound attributes afforded him knowledge—the pathways, the system of governance that was present across the world to those with the spark. Each way granted him starter items to begin his travels.
The spark was the figurative lighthouse that lightened the paths for those we're blessed to traverse. He somehow became one, a traveler, a nomad, an adventurer who explored the unexplored, and a seeker of might and magic.
He looked around himself, absorbing the beautiful scenery with newfound eyes. The Deck of cards clamped in his hand as he examined his surroundings more closely.
Vale of Roses, Domain, [Locked], Transmutable, [Equip], Arcane bolstered.
At the moment, he was inside one of his cards. He felt giddy. He was even excited. This was truly amazing. He had magical powers. This card was a domain type. It also was storage, similar to an inventory. He turned his head and laid eyes on his bed; outside of him, it was the only thing remaining of his previous life, a life that he no longer remembered.
The Cardwright, he thought, calling and pulling at the mastery. This first path is a unique mastery. Unique paths are a world first. First, no other person would have this; only his progeny could unlock its powers. He stared ahead, the Deck of cards light and comforting in his hands.
Path of the Cardwright was his primary. He had four additional, each having their masteries and requirements separate from each other in progress.
He had wandered around this domain casually, one eye on his mana consumption. Bane, that's the name he has chosen, being one of the names he used when he role-played or had the option of naming his charter in his favorite MMORPGs. Unfortunately, his real name was lost with whatever else personal there was of him.
"I shouldn't dwell on my past." He admonished himself aloud.
"Doubtful I would ever return home; if anything, I was hit by a pickup that came out of nowhere; I'm probably dead. Did he have siblings or parents? Was he a father or a husband?" all those questions unanswered, and neither weighed on him.
He absentmindedly contemplated as he reached for a blue rose. He sniffed it, enjoying its syrup and cinnamon smell before unabashedly bringing it to his mouth and nibbling on it before nodding at that taste; the aroma and taste were comparable. He felt an ethereal trickle settle at his core. Interesting.

He cursed inwardly. That was stupid of him. Eating random plants because they smelled good, Mother Nature was beautiful, yet deadly, and most of her beauty could kill you painfully.
He continued his inspection of the roses. Seeing a red one, he grabbed it, and yes, he ate that one too, and his talent increased somewhat; science purposes, he thought to himself; he had learned something worthwhile at least.
He had an idea as he stood amongst the roses. He needed to clear his prompts, mainly his naming one. He chose Bane for an apparent reason, but what of his middle and last? It seemed on Arbhor it was ordinary to have three names, even though he never had a middle previously.
Roses, or Rose? Bane liked them, especially these enchanted ones inside the Vale of Roses.
Rose, will my last name; he felt he needed something catching, and What better name than Rose? It was beautiful and poetic.
