In an instant, all the fingers in his hand had twisted from within the glove.
It wasn't just the finger which had begun twisting, but also his arms.
They twisted in such a frightening way that the sound of crunching sent a chill down even Violet's spine.
She hated using this move, but it was the only one which would get her out of this situation.
Just as she expected, the strings loosened after his arm had twisted beyond repair. Despite that however, not a single groan of pain had come out of him.
With the aid of her telekinesis she was able to undo the string completely.
But now that she was free what would she do?
She couldn't just fly up and out like last time. The thins were almost naked to the human eye.
Not to mention it was dark in the store as it was night outside.
What now? There was only one option in her eyes.
She quickly propelled herself back the way she came but ended up coming to a sudden stop as she noticed the thin string on the corner of her eye.
After getting a closer look, she realised that if she hadn't stopped, she would have lost a limb in that very same instant.
"That's not good. You're supposed to finish me off when you have the opportunity." He said as he rose up.
His arms were reverting back to normal, untwisting themselves as they rotated in the opposite direction.
A grin could be seen on his face. He had a look of ecstacy as he took a step towards Violet.
"Ah… That ability… I could almost feel it… Wanna try it again?" He asked.
Violet shivered.
'What the hell is up with this guy…?'
She thrust her arms forward, the air burst towards him, flinging him away.
At the same time, he pulled his arm back, closing his finger as he tampered with the strings.
Violet who saw this, reflexively leapt away from her spot.
She glanced back and noticed his strings suddenly enclose on the area where she had been standing.
Had she not moved, it wouldn't have just been the air getting sliced.
'If his strings are all around us…'
Violet's arm which was stretched out towards him was suddenly pulled back by her.
As she did so, his figure could be seen heading right towards her at a high velocity.
"Oh~ You would prefer a close-range fight instead? Smart move" He said with a smile.
He pulled his arm back, preparing for a punch as they were about to collide.
The string in the surrounding area wrapped around his arm, steeling it for his punch.
Simultaneously, the string's detached from the surrounding wall, before retracting to trap her and keep her stuck in place.
The unexpected happened however as rather than trying to avoid it and getting trapped, she ended up propelling herself right towards it.
The horned ones eyes widened as he punched at her face, swinging with everything he had.
With the steel strings acting as a gauntlet, he knew that all it would take was one punch.
*Swoosh*
But he missed. His fist went right over her long purple hair.
The instant he realised what had happened, he was suddenly propelled upwards in a burst.
His eyes widened as Violet followed right after him from beneath.
She had thought things through. If she couldn't get past because she was entrapped in a web of strings, then why not just throw the spider itself at the web to create her own path to exit.
There was no way he'd let himself get hurt by his own strings.
In order to avoid all the pain and potentially losing his life he'd have to retract it, allowing her to pass through and leave.
He didn't.
*Pierce*
His back was partly engraved into his strings as he crashed into them.
The look of ecstasy remained on his face, as he grinned.
"I told you… You're not getting out of here no matter what." He said.
"Who said I was trying to get out?" Violet asked as she levitated beneath him.
She stretched her hand out towards him.
At that moment his strings wrapped themselves around him, squeezing him tightly as it prevented him from moving.
Violet closed her hand, clenching it into a fist in the process.
The strings grew tighter, squeezing him even further and preventing him from making any moves.
During that time, she had propelled herself closer, as she got closer to him.
As they were only a few feet away, with a single glance, she forced the glove to slide out of his hands.
The gloves were resisting at first, but after some extra pulling she was able to get them off.
She didn't to waste any more time after that.
She flew right past him, taking the gloves with her. The threads had retracted how to now exit through the path she had entered.

After making it out of the building, Violet instantly got to running back home.
Naturally she'd do that, she had all the materials and supplies she needed. Staying any longer would be a risk she wouldn't be willing to take unless necessary.
Violet ran, leaping from building to building as she rushed back to the mansion.

"So this is one of the last labyrinth floors…" A young man muttered as he walked through it
An intrigued look could be seen on his face as he glanced around.
On his bag were a few skill orbs belonging to previous floors which he had cleared.
Long dark hair tied back in a pony and purple eyes. He was the human who had requested an audience with a king.
What could he have been doing in the dungeon just a few days before said audience?
He alone treaded the dark path which laid ahead of him. The fear for his life was minimal if not present at all.
"Well then… It's time I move on" He muttered to himself as he stood ahead of the boss's chambers.
