The one who said so and bowed respectfully was the queen, Lifia-sama.
Unlike the time with the homunculus girl, this was a complete resurrection from zero, but looked like the skill worked all the same.
I expected no less from the power of god.
That being said, if I resurrect every single dead person, ‘death’ itself might end up being made light of.
So, this time was a really, really special case.
Well, I mean, if you were to see someone grieving and it was within your capability to help them, you’d want to reach out to them, right?
Considering what King Zestgard had done so far, there wouldn’t be a happy ending for him, but still, if he had his loved ones by his side, he should be able to make up for his mistakes, at least.
I wished he did his best as a good king from now on.
“No, please don’t worry about it.”
Anyways, Lifia-sama, who had been filled in on the situation that had transpired after she had died, had anger written all over her gentle face.
Earlier, she had scolded King Zestgard so much that he shrank into a ball.
Though due to that, he’d also became convinced that the one in front of him was the real queen.
In the middle of the scolding, they could no longer hold back their emotions, and the parents and daughter all had burst into tears.
And after a while, they had finally regained their calm, and we arrived at the present.
“I’m sorry, I…”
“Oh, you also don’t need to worry about it, Your Majesty. I think you’re already scolded enough.”
“U-umu. But do let me express my gratitude. –I thank you. Everything is thanks to you.” King Zestgard bowed deeply.
“If you’re grateful, please convey it to Zana. I only did it in respond to her feelings, after all.”
“Ahh, I know. But I still thought I had to thank you, too. —Words can’t express how thankful I am.”
Perhaps because he no longer malicious intent, the dangerous air that used to be about King Zestgard had disappeared.
We could’ve used brute force to resolve this matter, but now I was sure that expelling the death of the queen which was the source of his hatred was the right decision.
“With this, the issue has been settled. Still, your 《Complete Resurrection》 is really ridiculous, isn’t it? To think it could resurrect the dead from nothing,” remarked Arca.
“Well, it actually restored Lifia-sama’s body that had been buried back to life, so it’s not exactly from nothing. But I do think that it should only be used when it’s really necessary. Using it firsthand made me realize that this power is fundamentally not supposed to be used, you see.” I said.
“Indeed. I’m of the same opinion with Exa-sama. ‘Life’ is supposed to be equal for everyone, after all,” said Magmell.
“Really? I instead think we should use it to provide resurrection service and rack up some good money! I’m sure it’ll be boomin’~!” Ophir grinned while making the shape of “O” with her index and thumb fingers.
Magmell narrowed her eyes and stared at Ophir, “Ophir-san, you…”
“I-it was just a joke. Don’t look at me like that…” Ophir pouted, discouraged.
As Arca, Magmell, and I were looking at her with amusement, Zana suddenly approached us and said, “Please let me thank you once again. I never imagined that I could ever see my father and mother be happy together like that again. Thank you so much, Exa.”
“Ou, don’t mention it. More importantly, there is one thing I’d like to request, but is that okay?” I said, glancing at the homunculus girls.
“Yes, of course. We will do anything as long as it is within our capability,” said Zana with a smile.
But then, Ophir grinned and chimed in as if to make fun of her, “‘Anythin’, eh. Then, if we tell you to dance naked on the table over there—”
“Ophir-san…”
“I-I’m tellin’ ya it was just a joke!? Don’t look at me with such a chillin’ gaze!?”
We watched on as Ophir cowering, finding it comical.
◇ ◇
Starting the next day, things got busy.
After all, the queen who was thought to be dead had made an appearance all of a sudden.
No wonder it caused a big fuss all over the country.
So, to prevent the other countries attacking Berqua in search of the secret of the resurrection, I enacted a play of a god’s descent by using Fire God Form and Vermillion Bird Form in combination.
The King then admitted his error and swore that he would work hard to make the country prosperous from then on, and the citizens was very happy with it.
It appeared that it was because the whole of the country had been dedicated to military power until now, and that had made the people live a very stifling life.
Needless to say, all the research on the homunculus was abandoned, and it seemed that they would be focused on the medical field in the future.
“—Alright, it’s done.”
“Thank you.”
Anyways, I’d made a request Zana.
It was—to put the homunculus girls into pseudo death state without harming them.
Putting them in pseudo death state would technically make them dead, so I’d be able to use 《Complete Resurrection》 on them.
And so, I’d went and used 《Complete Resurrection》 on the remaining five homunculus girls.
The homunculi had a short lifespan because they were artificial lifeforms, which was the reason why I’d like to do something about their unreasonable fate.
My 《Complete Resurrection》 resurrected living creatures in their perfect form.
And since the girls were made to imitate humans, 《Complete Resurrection》 had resurrected them as complete humans.
Lifia-sama had accepted them as her daughters too, saying, “If they were born based on Zana, that means they are also my daughters.” I hoped they all would lead a happy life as humans from now on.
By the way, it seemed the girl that I first resurrected had been given a name by Lifia-sama.
“The Madam… I mean, Mother gave me the name ‘Iris’. She said it’s an ancient word which carries the meaning of ‘hope’.”
“I see, that’s a really lovely name. I’m glad for you, Iris.”
“Yes, I’m so glad as well.”
Smile, a small smile appeared on the face of the nodding Iris.
I’m sure that the other girls will be given names as nice as hers, feeling warm inside, I continued to gently pat Iris’s head, who seemed to be in a good mood.
