Chapter 22: I took a gods eye

I ignored him and got back to eating. he sat down and tried to take my fries, so I took something valuable to him.

his eye, and also the helm and master bolt.

I legit froze time a bit and shoved my fingers into his skull and ripped it out.

i picked up grover and we got into a car and we took off. I unfroze time and I heard a yell.

raaaahh.

"How did-," grover looked around.

"ares got us a car," I said driving toward it.

we drove and I made a pit stop at the locus hotel, dispelling their magic, and met my cousins.

I had to make sure they were safe. never know with time travel. I went outside and only thirty minutes passed.

we finally arrived at DRS. grover was sniffing nervously and I put on my glasses.

we walked into the building and I threw Careon 30 drachmas.

"no questions take us to the underworld," I said manipulating his mind a little.

he took us across the Styx and I carefully cleaned her river. it was something only I could do for my old friend.

I cut my wrist a little and pour it into the river. now the river will be forever clean, or more accurately, it would continue to clean itself every time a new broken promise emerged.

we continued our way through the underworld, played with Cerberus, and made our way to hades'  palace.

"alright I fulfilled my end of the bargain hades," I said tossing him his helm of darkness.

"I thought you wouldn't," he said as he released my mother and sent her back home.

"Also I thought you would find this amusing," I said tossing him ares eyes.

"I made do with what little time I had. the traitor is still at camp and when I go back I shall dispose of him," I said taking a bow.

"do well to remember these words Jackson," hades said as he began to wave his hand.

"and also, send me an iris message when the angels are being released. I would want to keep an eye on them and keep them from the "third party," I said hinting at Kronos rising for the third... second time.

"you have done me a great service today son of Poseidon, should the time come, I will repay this debt," hades said as he teleported us onto the beach.

"told you hades wasn't that bad," I said to grover.

"How did-," he said as he was overwhelmed with ares' aura.

I pulled out my sword and blocked ares' strike. since he took the chance to attack me I was going to take full advantage of it.

I parried his blade and swung my sword at his ankles which got blocked. if I went all out I could kill him so I had to restrain myself.

time was irrelevant, and I embarrassed ares so much. I was using the drunken man's swordsmanship.

It wasn't used as defense or offense, but it was used for embarrassing your opponents.

I learned this technique in the chaos army from a drunk and experienced swordsman. it was fun so I learned it.

I sensed all the gods and goddesses watching. Zeus, father, hera, Hestia, Demeter, hades, Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, Athena, Hephaestus, and aphrobitch.

the mortals, dryads, and other satyrs. man, I was famous.

I ended it with a swift kick to the throat and plucked out his other eye. a lightning bolt came down from the sky but I grabbed it and hurled it back toward the sky.

"now then grover, I'll see you back at camp," I said as we both disappeared in the mist.

I appeared Infront of the empire state building and I bullied the receptionist into giving me the key to Olympus.

I entered and got many stares but I ignored them and continued my way to the throne room. I didn't say anything and bowed to Hestia who send me a small smile.

I tossed the bolt to Zeus and threatened him saying if he ever tries striking me down, I will be the first person to kill him.

what I said was true. I had tolerated Zeus in the past, but now was different, I could kill him and do whatever I wanted but that was to much work.

I just want to be a slacker.

I returned back to my house and I didn't see my mother back, so I grabbed Gabe and his friends and teleported them to a bunker. not to be seen by humans again.

when my mom arrived, she saw the house clean, and she walked into the kitchen and saw me with an apron cooking some tamales.

"Welcome back mother," I said opening my arms for a hug.

"Percy," she said as she hugged me.

"welcome home mom, Hestia's at the table, and food is about to be done. you can rest up for a while," I said leading her to the table.

I put some tamales on the table and we had a peaceful dinner. little did I know that I caught the attention of a woman named chaos.
