As Saras and Arthur were getting excited just by thinking the prospect of their future endeavors, unknowingly to them their selection process had already begun. The elderly couple as Saras thought were indeed not simple and had great backgrounds that the two couldn't even imagine.

They were the overseers of the Grand Admission Trials that the two of them longed to pass so desperately. The couple although had their eyes closed could perceive even the tiniest of tiny movement made by various people that they themselves weren't conscious about.

After observing for a few moments, couple raised their sticks high in air, on which they have been resting their old chins for everyone to see.

"All the best you two," Ben gave a thumbs up to both Saras and Arthur, "your trial is about to begin."

"What!?" both of them stared at Ben with a confused look on their faces.

Saras looked at the elderly couple just in time to see them bringing their sticks they've been holding in air, down.

Saras couldn't see any rush nor delay in their action. Their movements were neither fast nor slow; just perfect.

As the sticks were brought down contradictory to expectation of Saras' ears, there was no sound at all. Rather he had the feeling that elderly couple and their surrounding were moving downward. Not only them but everyone around him too; difference being that others are moving at a slower pace than the elderly couple.

"Fuc~" Arthur's familiar and annoying yell snapped him out of his daze.

"What in the name of Lunae?" Saras thought as the reality came before his eyes.

It wasn't the elderly couple going downwards but him and the others floating up. To be exact he and Arthur are floating at higher 'platform' than all the others. Looking around Saras guessed that there are atleast a hundred or two people floating below him. He could even see Ben right below him and thou--

It is as if the world blinked.

Yes, that is what Saras thought of the event that had just happened with him.

The world blinked; and then the entire world changed around him.

Looking around one more time Saras thought he could see lot of figures vividly; that is whatever his bursting head could make sense of information his half closed eyes sent.

"Blergh..." is what Saras heard before darkness enveloped him.

Arthur and Saras had heard about the Grand Admission Trials from their Uncle Robert. The middle aged swordsman had been a parent figure to both of them teaching them basics of meditation, survival skills, knowledge about 6 continents and the powers that rule them, and little wisdom about magic. But most importantly he taught them swordsmanship and body tempering techniques.

Out of six continents only four were habitable to 'two legged' creature, as seventh and smallest continent  'Frost rim' has temperature ranging from 50 Fahrenheit to -406 Fahrenheit, and first as well as second largest continent is solely owned by the 'Dragon Clan'. Although there are many species allowed to live in the Forest of Great Vismarya, they are only beasts and not the two-legged.

Grand Admission Trials this time around are held at city of Orario, in Ionia continent. 37 representatives of 15 prestigious academies and sects are assembled here in Orario so that they can 'harvest' the best potential that Ionia continent has to offer.

Representatives of 2 imperial academies-- Zenith Imperial Academy and Aves Imperial Academy; 4 representatives of heavenly sects- Plum Blossom Sect, Moonless Night Sect, Righteous Sun Sect and Lotus Drip Sect and lastly High Priest of Church of Luminara i.e. the biggest religion in 4 continents are present in the Grand Admission Trials this time around. Other 8 seats to seek 'potential talents' were taken by other 1st class sects and academies of Ionia continent.

As long as anyone who have registration fees could take part in these trials. This ensured that maximum number of hidden talents that otherwise would have never been discovered due to absence of knowledge would fall into the hands of these overbearing forces; not that anyone was complaining.

Trials have been going on for a month now, today being the final day. Number of students that come to take trials as expected were tens of thousands. Out of all, only select few, that is as low as mere hundred to five hundred till the age of Eighteen are eligible to even enter the trial grounds.

Overseers of the trials who are responsible to conduct these trials, are atleast in the early realms of 'Kshatriya' and with the help of various artifacts they can easily gouge a person's potential talent. Only after getting selected by overseers does one can enter the trial grounds; in this case The Dueling Arena of Orario. To ensure the fairness in trials, the identity of overseers is kept hidden. The representative who are responsible of assessment and selection process are needed to stay within the trial grounds for entire month.

The tests of trials remain same every year-- after the 'potential test' by overseer comes the test of magic affinity. Since the commoners don't have means nor knowledge to unleash their mana inside their body and make contact with world energy-- 'Soul stone' is used to figure out their ability of just how much mana can a person release and their 'soul manifestation'.

A person who have large amounts of mana but have problems in releasing it naturally has low affinity with their elements. This can result in mediocre talent, not worthy of any attention from Titans.

Figuring out a person's 'Soul manifestation' can help know a person's prominent element. An element that a person has most affinity with is called 'Prominent Element'. Sensing the aura around soul manifestation, further class potential can also be figured; like if a person has his soul manifestation in shape of a fire which has a sharp aura around it- one can easily predict that this person's prominent element is fire and he should practice sharp weapons, such as a sword.

Third and the last round of the trials involves dueling with other participants of trials. This duels have only two rules-- no intake from start to end of the duel and no one is allowed to further attack their opponent after they've admitted their defeat. Loss will be declared once the participant is unconscious, cannot move any longer or steps out of the ring. No participants are disqualified on their basis of their loss in these duels.

After all the duels are conducted, seven duelists that impressed the overseers most, are granted free access to the academy/sect of their choosing, that is they can choose to enter any academy or sect present here as their disciple. Not only that they are given special privileges that are cut above the rest.

After these 7 make their choices, next 2 imperial academies, 4 heavenly sects and Church of Luminara- basically whoever is above the 1st class, can make offers to the rest of the duelists that they think are suitable for their academy or sect.
