“May I know what poison Kousuke Sugiyama was suffering from?” Tomohito asked.
“This poison is somewhat unusual, and it belongs to a hybrid. Judging from the wounds, it should be throwing weapons used by Ninjas.” Su Tao knew that the Crown Prince, Tomohito, knew about the truth, and he just needed verification. Hence, Su Tao did not hide it from him.
Ninja was an ancient profession in Japan, similar to China’s Imperial Guards. They’re both considered special forces. Ninjas were proficient in concealment, close combat, and throwing weapons. To ensure their kill, they would often apply poison on their weapons.
Su Tao was able to distinguish it because it was similar to the descriptions recorded in the Imperial Physician Scripture. During the Ming Dynasty, a high-ranking anti-Japanese military officer was assassinated, and all of the Imperial Physicians were dispatched to treat that person. But fortunately, the wound wasn’t deep, and the poison did not spread to the bones. Hence, the treatment was much more straightforward.
Su Tao used the same antidote that was recorded, and as for the bone scraping method, he had utilised western medicine’s surgical skills. This was the reason why the treatment was so successful.
The Crown Prince, Tomohito, glanced at the advisor, to which the advisor nodded his head. After that, Tomohito sighed and said, “I would like to thank you once again. Our Seto Clan will never owe someone a favor, and you can let us know if you ever needed our help. We will definitely do our best to repay you.”
Listening to his words, Su Tao inwardly sneered. He had hands and legs, so why would he need their help? He brushed it off and smiled, “Since I have already completed my treatment, then I will be leaving first. Oh, right. According to our TCM’s rules and regulations, there’s a need for me to receive a fee for my treatment, the two visits will be a total of USD$200,000!”
That was the sum that he had spent on the jewelry store today, and now that he met the powerful imperial clan, he could get it back.
The Seto Clan did not lack money, and they would have roughly USD$200,000,000 allocated to them from the national treasury annually, so the treatment fees were nothing to them.
Tomohito was briefly stunned upon hearing it since he never expected that Su Tao would request medical fees. It was a clear statement that he did not want anything to do with the Seto Clan. Although he felt somewhat discomfort in his heart, Tomohito still spoke out, “That’s for sure. Pay Su Tao USD$200,000 later!”
Su Tao did not decline it modestly. On the contrary, he was happy that he could receive such high medical fees and replied, “Thank you, your highness.”
Not long after, someone brought over a check that could be used on any bank in the world, which Su Tao left after taking it.
After the advisor sent Su Tao into the vehicle, he returned to Crown Prince Tomohito, who had a complicated light flashing through his eyes as he sighed, “Kousuke was poisoned from saving me. I never expected that it would really be them.”
“I have already sent people out to investigate this matter, and I believe that we will be able to find the culprit swiftly.” The advisor replied.
Nodding his head in satisfaction, the Crown Prince Tomohito continued, “I never expected that Su Tao’s medical skills would be so brilliant. The entire Imperial Physician Institution was helpless, and yet, he managed to treat it so easily.”
“If we can invite Mamoru Onizuka over, I believe that he should be able to be treated as well. This is the difference between traditional and modern medical studies. For the poison used by ninjas, traditional methods are more useful.” The advisor analysed.
Unhappily waving his hand, Tomohito instructed, “We need to add more TCM physicians in the Imperial Physician Institution. It’s still insufficient just by relying on those with western medicine background.”
“I have recently been in contact with Mamoru Onizuka’s only disciple, Amaki Hamasaki, to invite him to join the Imperial Physician Institution. This way, we will be able to fulfill your request. But he asks for a high salary, and it was even higher than the western medicine doctors, so the Imperial Palace has to consider this seriously.” The advisor replied.
“How much is he asking?” Tomohito knitted his brows.
“An annual salary of USD$200,000!” The advisor reported.
“Are you joking with me? Su Tao just received USD$200,000 as his treatment fees. Tell the Inner Palace Department not to hesitate about the cost anymore. As long as Amaki Hamasaki possesses genuine abilities, the salary is not a problem.” The Crown Prince Tomohito replied in an annoyed tone.
In a house located to the west of the Imperial Palace, Kiko is currently sitting before her computer, tapping away at the keyboard. When a silhouette finally appeared, she immediately stood up and smiled. “How’s the situation at the Crown Prince’s side?”
The newcomer was a maid responsible for taking care of Kiko. She had just received an order from Kiko to make a trip over to the Crown Prince and probe for Su Tao’s information. Moving over to Kiko’s ears, she whispered, “That young Divine Physician from China is too formidable! The entire Imperial Physician Institute was helpless, but he has easily dealt with it. He only spent a total of two hours in the treatment.”
“That’s great!” Kiko clapped her hands in excitement.
The maid looked at Kiko in an unusual gaze since she had no idea what’s going on with this Princess.
After the maid left, Kiko immediately logged into the account and arrived at Su Tao’s fan club. She tipped half of her monthly allowance over, and her account was instantly upgraded to a Sovereign Member.
After that, she updated her status, “Never, never leave. Protecting the everlasting confession.”
When Su Tao returned to the hotel, he saw Ni Jingqiu, who was flushed with success.
Ni Jingqiu was in a good mood. She smiled. “I’ll treat you to something great today. What would you like?”
“Let’s have Chinese cuisine in Chinatown.” Su Tao smiled after a brief pondering.

After having seafood and seaweed practically every day, Su Tao was craving for some Chinese cuisine.
Snapping her fingers, Ni Jingqiu immediately gave Gu Yin a call. When they arrived, Gu Yin had already instructed to open a private room and prepared a table of sumptuous dishes. The two of them did not immediately take their seat and waited for ten-odd minutes, to which Gu Li entered with Xiao Yao and sighed, “I’m starving!”
Xiao Yao would naturally not behave so casually. She sneaked a peek at Su Tao before she quietly sat down.
“Let’s start!” Ni Jingqiu smiled.
Su Tao examined Gu Li. Her fashion was weird today, especially her jeans, which were covered in holes, looking like a beggar. She wore a white shirt with a Che Guevara portrait on her chest and grey slim-fitted jeans that tightly wrapped around her legs. She had three different highlights in her hair with oceanic blue as the main theme. Her brows were purple, and her lips were black, with a pair of massive earrings and she chewed chewing gum, looking sloppy.
Ever since Su Tao had treated Mu Jingchen and his stunning display in the pub, Gu Li’s impression of Su Tao had changed. She knew that he wasn’t a sissy, and he was somewhat capable. It was no wonder that Ni Jingqiu would treat Su Tao with such importance.
“I’m starving!” Gu Li yelled before she immediately started to eat.
Fearing that Su Tao might be unhappy, Ni Jingqiu smiled and explained, “Gu Li is like an overgrown child, so don’t mind her. She would always cause trouble outside and have people clean up after her, so everyone is already used to it. However, she’s still pretty innocent and benevolent. It was all due to her asking Song Wenfu for help that I managed to meet Mu Jingchen this time.”
Picking up her chopsticks, Gu Li took a few bites of the roasted duck on the table before she raised her head. “Hey, Big Sister Jingqiu, are you talking bad about me? Xiao Yao and I watched two horror movies last night, and we didn’t even eat our breakfast and dinner. We’re starving now! Even if you present a roasted pig before me, I can finish it up myself.”
Sourly rolling her eyes at Gu Li, Ni Jingqiu replied, “What horror movies? Just look at your dressing, you look like a demoness from the Journey to the West. Taking a look at yourself in the mirror is shocking enough, and I guarantee that it will fill up your hollow heart.”
Listening to her words, even Su Tao couldn’t help laughing as he commented, “That’s a vivid description!”
Gu Li glared at Su Tao for teasing her before she flung her lips in disdain. “You guys are too outdated. Do you guys even know what fashion is?”
“Why don’t we take a few photos of you and let your father look at it when we return?” Ni Jingqiu bitterly smiled.
Gu Li was briefly stunned before she looked at Ni Jingqiu in alertness and asked, “You wouldn’t be that sinister, right?”
If her parents saw those photos, she would definitely be forced back to China.
The Gu Family was a strict prominent family, and this has also resulted in Gu Li letting herself be free the moment she left the country.
During the meal, Gu Li would speak about many interesting things that occurred in Japan. At the same time, Su Tao also had a whole new understanding of Gu Li. She was no different from an ordinary girl. She even had some chivalrous spirit in her bones and liked to fight injustice.
She got to know Xiao Yao because the latter came here to study and was teased by a few hoodlums on the street, and was saved by her. As the two of them slowly got familiar with each other, they ended up as a couple.
All of a sudden, Su Tao’s phone rang, it was a call from Yu Omuri.
“I have something that I would like to ask for your help with!” Yu Omuri softly said.
“What is it? You can just tell me directly!” Su Tao managed to hear something unusual in Yu Omuri’s tone.
“I would like to borrow some money from you!” Yu Omuri said with great difficulty and continued, “Consider it my salary in advance.”
“How much do you need?” Su Tao asked.
“20,000,000 yen!” Yu Omuri spoke in an uneasy tone.
Yu Omuri meant Japanese yen, so after Su Tao made a rough calculation, it was roughly ¥1,200,000. Knitting his brows, he asked, “What do you need so much money for?”
“I have an urgent need for it!” Yu Omuri was firm on not revealing it.
Letting out a sigh, Su Tao replied, “If you don’t tell me about it, I won’t lend you that sum of money.”
In the end, Yu Omuri sighed and helplessly said, “Natsuki’s film company looked for her and requested for her to come out of retirement since the films she took in the past did not earn enough money, and she has to make another film for free to make up for the loss. She’s troubled right now, and I would like to buy out the films with that money.”
“I can lend you the money, but it doesn’t mean that the matter can be resolved.” Su Tao sighed.
