Victor wanted to know if his daughter was safe. A beast teaching her? A beast inside their house?

He asked first, not because he was a kind guy, but because Arthur was too mysterious for him. If Arthur was truly a beast, it had to be one way too powerful for someone like him.

Hell, Victor was certain few mages on the entire planet could win against such beast. What was he supposed to do?

Arthur looked at him, and there was no way to lie, not to such a kind person.

"If he hates me, and asks me to leave, I will do it," Arthur thought.

"Victor, I am a beast," Arthur said, making the other party quiet.

Victor had a look of slight fear, but Tracy seemed to be alright. She was not scared of some beast, and even if Arthur was one, so what? He had treated her and the others well, better than some humans who called themselves nice people.

"But I am no ordinary beast, that is. Have you ever heard of dragons?"

"N-No, I haven't. I don't think there are beasts called that here, and seeing how you fell from the sky. It is understandable."

"I can promise you my kind is wise, righteous, and I will do nothing else than help you," Arthur said, bowing his head a little, trying to act more benevolent.

He truly did not want to part ways with that family. They were helping his wives, taking care of them, and it was a good place to hide while he learned more about the world.

No one would look for him in such a small village, at least he hoped so.

Victor was lost in thoughts, and after a few seconds, he sheathed his dagger. "It is not like I can win against you, anyway."

Tracy walked away from Victor's back, and she said, "can you be my familiar? No? Can you show me your true form? Please, please!"

"Sweetie," Victor said, "he cannot be your familiar. He is way too powerful. But I guess he can show us his true form."

Arthur saw nothing wrong with that. "Alright, I can do that, but we must find an open area. There are too many trees around here."

"There is a plain area right in the middle of this valley. We can go there," Victor said.

After that talk, everything returned to normal, and Victor was not acting too suspiciously about Arthur. There was nothing he could do about it if Arthur was evil, so what was the point of worrying that much?

Victor had saved him and those girls, there was no denial about that, so his heart wanted to believe Arthur would do nothing to harm him or his family.

They were already deep inside the valley before that first confrontation, so it only took them twenty minutes to reach the plain area.

Tracy got tired along the way, hoping on her father's back, "so much better," she said, rejoicing after not having to walk anymore.

"This is the place," Victor said.

Arthur looked around, seeing if the space was enough for his actual body, and apparently it was! The plain area was massive, and was there, in the middle of the valley, for no apparent reason.

"Alright. This area is enough. You two won't be scared, right?"

"T-This area is enough?" Victor looked around, seeing the plain area that was bigger than his entire village.

"He can't be a beast the size of a mountain, right?" Victor thought.

Arthur only smiled and then changed from a youth human to a massive black dragon! Everything happened instantly, causing the shock of Victor and Tracy.

They looked at those black-scales, deep eyes, with one having the symbol of a star, and flapping wings that sent trees away with the force. It was majestic, a scary yet beautiful looking beast.

Victor had never seen something like that before, and for him, it was the most extraordinary beast he had ever seen.

With a hoarse voice, Arthur said, "did you like it? I look bad ass, right?"

Tracy was the first to talk, breaking the silence. "you do, you do. Can I fly on your back?"

Arthur then changed back into his human form. "I wish, but people cannot see me, at least not right now, so it is better for us to fly in human form. Anyone would see me in that form."

"He is right," Victor said, cuddling Tracy's hair. "What is important is that you will fly, and he is here to help us. We cannot bring danger to such a kind person, right?"

"You are right, dad."

That did not make Tracy any less happy about having the chance to fly. She got closer to Arthur, who, with just a thought, controlled her body, making her float.

It was easy for him to control others with his flight spell, at least those who were weak, like Tracy.

"Dad, I am floating, floating!" she said.

She could not believe that was truly happening, but what happened next made her gap her mouth even more!

Arthur and Tracy kept going up, until a decent height, one that was not that high to surpass the surrounding mountains, but neither too low to make the travel a boring one.

"Hahahaha, this is incredible," Tracy said.

She dreamed about flying, but it always felt like such a distant dream, one that could never realize, yet it was happening in the strangest forms. Arthur had showed up out of nowhere, bringing her dream to life.

He also told her he would help her with magic, and that was another thing she never felt was possible.

A private magical tutor? Only the nobles could have something like that, and Tracy was one hundred percent sure her tutor, Arthur, was significantly better than the ones of those nobles.

Arthur then increased the speed a little, flying around the valley. They both felt the breeze hitting their faces and met a few birds along the way.

The sight up there was a beautiful one.

"Victor!" Arthur yelled, "you should come too."

"Huh?"

Before Victor could realize what was happening, he was already flying up high at a fast pace, meeting with Tracy.

"Dad! This is awesome, right?" Tracy said, with her father flying beside her.

Victor never believed he would have such an experience, either. He enjoyed the moment with his daughter, and a new friend he met.

"I would return to the place I fell to check the metal balls I lost, you know, the one that came down from the sky," Arthur said.

Victor and he were outside of their house. Tracy had already gone inside to tell her experience to Emily.

"No problem. It is close to here, and with your speed, you should be back soon. Be safe," Victor said.

Arthur nodded, and then he disappeared from his sight. There was no need for him to fly, as that would catch too much attention, but Arthur still could teleport, which was way better in that situation.

Within one minute, he was already back at the location where he fell, but when he got there, the metal balls were no longer there.

"How? Who took them?"

Arthur was enraged! Those things were heavy, and no one could open them, because George gave Arthur and his wives full access.

"Whoever it took must be a powerful mage to have the power to carry those things, at least a rank three. He cannot open it, so there is no reason for me to get anxious. I will first make sure my wives are alright, and then I will go after you, dumbass," Arthur thought, looking at the sky, trying to make the thief feel his angry words.
