Na-Yool hid her agitation as best as she could while Si-Jin continued speaking in a calm tone.

“I’ve got no reason nor time to spare to burden you, plus it’s boring.”

Na-Yool looked at Si-Jin with a subtly downcast expression. His rigid black eyes stared steadily at her. His gaze gave out a very uncomfortable delicate feeling, as if he was trying to dig the pit that had barely been filled while reassuring her deeply at the same time.

“I have no intention of dating you. And neither did I have any for other woman.”

“……”

Suspecting that Hee-Jung would pry into her unrelated business with Si-Jin, Na-Yool fiddled with the buttons of the coffee machine without making eye contact. Absolutely pointlessly, since Hee-Jung’s americano was already dripping into the cup.

“Because something urgent suddenly came up.”
