[ Lavender Tower ]
"Is it ready?" Butch questioned for the nth time into his earpiece.
He and the other grunts were bait for the real plan. Just like the Boss had said, the use of those… crystals had made themselves… almost invisible to the ghostly senses, just like dark type pokemon themselves. Butch had planned to attack at a time when the ghosts were engrossed in a single event, in a closed, specific location hence his small team was the bait.
Placing the grunts that were invisible at appropriate points, and by extension, the Umbreon packs as well, they had created a literal kill box.
Butch smirked. Ironic, that they were using the setup to capture ghosts.
"We're ready, sir. Targets locked on."
A silly grin floated on Butch's lips as he heard the voice from his earpiece, "Use Dark Pulse. Full power."
Butch gazed upon Munna and Marowak in the distance.
Those two were unexpected variables.
A wave of Dark energy blasted toward the hordes of zombies.
The corpses were instantly vaporized as ghostly mist permeated to the surface, coagulating into a couple of Ghastly and Hunters.
The Ghastly and Hunters were struggling to keep their corporeal form as the dark-type energy was affecting them greatly.
This was the kill box, ensured by Butch to make sure that the ghosts would be injured beyond comprehension.
"Capture them!" Executive Butch yelled out. "Every single one of them. Leave the rest to the Umbreon."
Munna's eyes glowed pink as the entire graveyard was filled with misty terrain which began to help the Ghost type pokemon to stabilize their corporeal form.
Butch glared at Munna before snapping his fingers as Dusclops fired a shadow ball toward Munna who countered with an energy ball.
( ~ Boom ~ )
Frowning a little, Butch thought,' This pokemon is too powerful to be wild either is it abandoned or ....'
( ~ Boom ~ )
To the far left side of Butch where the invisible team was, the floor of Lavender Tower blasted away critically injuring the entire team as a blur of red went past all the Umbreons of the Kill box.
The Blur stopped revealing Scizor to Butch who felt his vein pop.
Why were all these pokemon interfering with my plan?

Grady and Brady ran towards a mansion that was roughly a quarter mile away from lavender Tower. As the twin sisters walked up to the doors above the steps. The little annoyance known as Hoothoot had deserted them at the gates, flying away in another direction, possibly to harass somebody else for all they knew.
On a closer look at the mansion, even the architecture looked dated. There was an old-fashioned metal chain hanging from the left, which functioned as the doorbell, considering the rather loud sound that reverberated as soon as Grady pulled it downwards.
Five seconds passed by. No one answered.

Ten seconds.
Still, no one answered.
Fifteen. Brady raised her hand to pull the chain a second time when the door hissed open, and they found themselves looking at the familiar face of the revenant crone of Kanto—the Ghost Mistress of the Elite Four.
"Madame Agatha or should we call you 'Elite Four Agatha." Brady croaked.
"It is Agatha and nothing else." The old woman replied, her sharp eyes jumping from the twins to the sky.
" Don't tell me."
" Yes, some people are causing trouble in Lavender Tower and we are afraid that ???????? will awaken."
Agatha sighed as she subconsciously called out," The Evil of Lavender Tower."
Brady and Grady nodded as their hands shook when an eriely suffocating presence began to wash over the entire Lavender Town.
Agatha's staff glow as a couple of Gengars emerged from her shadow.
" Let's go !"
Agatha and the twin sisters flinched when the surrounding ghostly mist increased in density.
It was as if the wails of the dead echoed throughout the land.

It was surreal. In the pitch blackness of the Lavender Tower, the majority of the ghostly species—Hunter, a ghostly species that possess an incorporeal gaseous form, were getting attacked from every side by vicious Umbreon, quickly followed by getting sucked into those characteristic black pokeballs that Team Rocket used. By the looks of it, they seemed like unregistered, and slightly weaker versions of the Ultra ball, but did their job with ease. On the other hand, the Hunter population, reduced to less than ten, were fighting back some of the Umbreon, raising dismembered corpses to slam towards the grunts, even succeeding in tearing through some of the men—killing them instantly, though the latter couldn't be said about the Umbreon, which were much more nimble than their owners.
Meanwhile, Austin and his pokemon shot toward the Rocket Executive, with Marowak—despite her already tired disposition, was fighting a losing battle against a more powerful Dusclops, who seemed to be empowered with dark-type moves as well. With the already existing dark-type energy inside her body, the battle was becoming more and more difficult for the shadow pokémon.
A couple of Haunters had jumped to kill the Executive, only to be intercepted by a Houndoom, belching out flames at the gas pokémon, who instantly pushed away, having to engage the fire types. The dark types barked, belching out more flames toward the pokémon, who tried to counter with shadow balls.
"Bah!" The executive barked. "Useless vermin. Magmortar, burn them to crisps."
And the giant spitfire pokémon came into view, sprouting flames all over, propelling fireballs from the two cannons its upper appendages had transformed into. The fireballs fell all over the place, setting fire to the corpses, much to the ghosts' screeches, seeing their haven being destroyed to ashes.
"Wartortle, use water pulse. Krabby, bubble beam. Clear the flames!" came Austin's voice, who somehow managed to stand on the ground, holding his hand close to his mouth as he gagged at the smell of burnt corpses that had filled the room.
"Charmeleon, tackle that Magmortar. Scizor, help him." Austin paused. "Clefairy. Leave me here. Charmeleon needs your help. Pikachu-"
{ I can do better from a distance. Let Pikachu do the brawl. I will protect you and deal damage from afar.}
Austin considered Munna's suggestion. "All right." He turned to the ground. "Pikachu, Charmeleon… don't hold back. Fire with everything you've got. We need to stop that man." He held two pokeballs in his hand. "Go !"
And the entire battle stopped still for a moment, as two overly large avians appeared in the air, screeching angrily at the fighting all around.
"Wreak havoc!"
Ninjask and Charmeleon were, trying to do their best to strike at the Umbreon who was nimble, more than they had any right to be along with the fact that these pokemon seemed to ignore all the damage that was accumulating on their bodies.

[ Omake Paragraph ]
There was a time when the Silph Company building was far and away the tallest in Kanto. At eleven stories, twice the height of Celadon's Department Store, it offered an imposing and entrancing view of Saffron City, and as Silph's operations became more efficient extra office space was rented out in the building and the roof opened to the public as an observation deck.
Unfortunately for Silph Corporation and the innocence of Saffron City, Raticate possesses the ability to gnaw through concrete. At noon on an otherwise ordinary Thursday many years ago, a group of masked men sent out a swarm of Raticate which surrounded the building, then chewed through its foundations from all angles and vanished into their pokeballs before the police could arrive.
The building's collapse killed hundreds, destroyed a city block, and horrified all of Kanto. Increased security measures were enacted across the pokemon world, but to no avail; Raticate evolve from Rattata, which is simply too numerous to effectively control. The attack, far from prompting improved security to make future such moves impossible, instead sparked a wave of copycats; Raticate has now replaced Electrode as the pokemon of choice for terrorist organizations. Moreover, the attack (for all the brave talk by the mayor and the CEO about hunting down those responsible) must be regarded as a total success: the Master Ball which had made Silph so divisive was quietly discontinued, and no more have been produced to this day. They say all the blueprints which took decades to make have been destroyed by the Master Ball leaving behind only one which is supposedly kept in a safe.
