Five days passed and there was still no news about the whereabouts of a single living Lesser Starlet fox.
Neither did the Elus merchant message Shane back which frustrated him even more.
It was not really surprising that he didn't receive any answers to his forum threads. But the Elus merchant had given him hope, only to snatch it in the worst possible way by ghosting him.
However, it would even be worse if he were to message him every single day.
As such he practiced the virtue of patience and hunted beasts in the meantime by exerting the Slaughterer's Path technique.
Now, his basic mastery of the Slaughterer's Path technique was well established and his bloodlust-killing-intent was also about to fuse together.
This were good news which made Shane slightly happy, but his mood was still extremely bad over the last few days.
He had only 12 days left before he would have to go back to Igra in order to allow his world seed to absorb more mana.
Shane was unsure whether he could do something else while letting his world seed absorb mana or sit idle in the meantime. The second option would be annoying because the whole process would take two more weeks in which he could do nothing at all.
Sighing deeply, Shane tried to calm down as he exhibited the beast carcasses that he had accumulated in his shop before he inspected his status again.

He calmed down a little after looking at his status panel and read through every single section.
His body was only 16 years old and he had more than enough time left to become stronger, even if it might take longer.
It was not like he had to attain a perfect foundation in a certain amount of time and it would even be fine if he were to accomplish this feat in ten years.
To put it simply, it would already be a phenomenal achievement, if he were to do something like this in barely 10 years. It was said that nobody had been able to achieve a perfect foundation because of the [Mythic] mission for the perfect mana purification technique.

As such, Shane was even fine with investing two decades, if not more to achieve his dream.
Comparatively, waiting one month before he could start searching for a suitable habitat where Lesser Starlet Foxes might still live was not much.
Furthermore, he had a certain idea of where he could start searching and that was in all the dimensions wherein the Elus race built a shelter!
According to the Elus-merchant's first message that was extremely weird, Shane concluded that the Elus race knew more about the Lesser Starlet Fox than other races which was a huge advantage.
He wouldn't have to search through thousands of suitable, dangerous dimensions but he could just enter the few dimensions the Elus race had already entered.
After filtering the ones that didn't have a suitable environment, his search would be narrowed down to probably only a handful of Dimensions he had to enter.
Only finding out which dimension the Elus race habituated was difficult, but this was much easier to solve than finding news of the Lesser Starlet Foxes!
If he were to give out large rewards to everyone who gave him the name of the basic dimensions which the Elus race had a shelter within, a few weeks would be enough to get to know every single of their dimensions!
After he found out that this was possible, Shane felt much better and his mind was at ease.
However, what he didn't expect was to receive a message from the Elus-merchant in the evening of the 5th day after he sent his first message.
Opening it hesitantly, he didn't even dare to have any expectations as he read through everything.
[After careful consultation, our Emperor decided that we will help you to find a living Lesser Starlet Fox as long as Sir Orus won't hurt or even kill it after it was caught! If Sir accepts that condition, we will follow the procedures and help!]
"Yes!!" He shouted out before reading the message again in order to ensure that he hadn't misread anything…
Smiling dryly, he thought that everything was much easier than he had expected it to be in the beginning.
However, after carefully reading through the message, Shane noticed that he was not even allowed to injure the Lesser Starlet Fox while catching it.
This would make everything much more difficult than it currently was.
Nevertheless, it was better than nothing and if he couldn't keep up his end of the bargain, he would just ask the Elus race if he could injure it only a little without permanently crippling the Lesser Starlet Fox.
That shouldn't be too much of a demand.
It was only the worst-case scenario and a high-grade tranquilizer of great quality would already be enough to finish the job.
In the end, this wouldn't even hurt the Lesser Starlet Fox much, and Shane questioned himself if this was possible for the worst of the worst scenarios.
Other than that, he also agreed to not kill it if he could receive the permission to purchase the required manual to attain a perfect Apprentice physique.
Somehow, Shane felt as if the Elus merchant had already expected this question because he received an answer instantly. Normally, it would have taken the merchant many days to answer him after consultation with the Emperor again.
[This is possible, but only if Sir is truly unable to catch the Lesser Starlet Fox by any other means. It's not desirable but we understand Sir's situation too. Furthermore, we know how hard it is to even approach a Lesser Starlet Fox, let alone catching one.
We will provide more information about the Lesser Starlet Fox as soon as Sir signs a formal agreement with us.
Please bear in mind that with our help, the favor we owe Sir will be used up!
However, this doesn't mean that we can't establish a long-standing business relationship between our races if that is something both of our races desire after getting to know each other's ideals, strength, and more.
After the agreement is signed between Sir and our race, we will provide Sir with a special permission certificate which will allow Sir to enter our Shelters and the whole Elementals Empire!]
"WHAT?" Shane shouted out loud not caring if anyone was around him. That was hardly an issue because he was in the middle of nowhere inside the Giant Fluare-plain dimensions.
Reading through the message several more times, he couldn't help but look at his chat with the Elus merchant with wide eyes as he mumbled
"Is that really considered returning a small favor? Isn't that more like a huge favor? Not only will they provide me with more information but they will also allow me to enter their shelters….just like that?"
'Are they suicidal?'
