Shane had never heard of any of the ingredients, objects, or whatever these cryptic names he saw in the requirements to increase Umbra's quality, were.
Umbra didn't know what Shane was currently doing and slithered towards the Dimension Portal, the outlines of which he could see from far away.
'I should take a look at the item prices in the Primordial Shops first and then decide what to do… If it's too expensive I can acquire the funds after I've caught the Lesser Starlet Fox. Maybe, if the price is unreasonably high, I might as well search for a second beast to tame first and increase its quality. With two awakened beasts and myself, I should be able to earn a huge fortune at a rapid pace! '
Shane decided that it would do him no good if he were to be impatient. Umbra was already powerful and with a single quality enhancement, he might as well reach the peak-Awakened stage.
However, what Shane didn't take into account was Umbra' s title [Limit Breaker] and the quality enhancement he received from Shane's Innate Skill Taming.
Owing to these two factors, Umbra's strength was already at par with common peak-Awakened beasts!
He might not be at par with the stronger rainbow centipedes, the bloodlust thunder wolf or the Golden centipede King yet, but that was not surprising, given the fact that Umbra's quality was still [Trash].
After Shane researched the three required items to increase Umbra's quality, he was unsure what to think about their prices.
On one side they were not as much as he had expected but on the other side, they were higher than what one would assume to pay.
The [Eclipse Aeona] was a rare flower and one would have to pay 1,000 gold coins for a single one at the [Uncommon] quality.
Meanwhile, the [Crescent moonlight darcona] was a plant one could find in extremely dangerous Basic-Dimensions which only strong basic races with a great foundation dared to enter.
Its price was 1,500 gold coins at the [Extraordinary] quality.
These two items were extremely expensive, considering that most humans who made several hunting trips during a month earned between 500-800 gold coins a month.
After deducting their lodging costs, food, the costs for potions, treatment for injuries, and the price to repair equipment, one would at most earn 400 gold coins.
And that was for people who were actively trying to earn a fortune!
The average income was around 200 gold coins, more likely less and Shane began to wonder how long others would need to accumulate the funds to increase Umbra's quality, now that he had evolved.
Though Shane had expected the price for Umbra's evolution to increase by a large margin, it was still high.
He had more than enough gold coins to purchase every required item but that would mean he had to restrain himself from purchasing more traps for his [Mythic] mission!
The third item was the reason for Shane's hesitation to purchase all items at once.
Dragonic blood arcaedo was something similar to a bloodline unsealment solution. However, instead of unsealing a bloodline, it tried to insert a new bloodline in a beast.
Creating such a solution was difficult and the ingredients required were expensive which increased the price for the Dragonic blood arcaedo to 3,500 gold coins.
Adding everything up, Shane required 6,000 gold coins to purchase everything for Umbra's quality upgrade from [Trash] to [Common].
Under normal circumstances, the first three quality upgrades from [Trash] to [Rare] were several times cheaper than the rest and Shane could only sigh deeply as he mumbled
"I won't be able to enhance Umbra's quality higher than a certain degree either way...otherwise, he will definitely destroy the balance within the basic dimension...I guess? Maybe he can reach the [rare] or [extraordinary] quality, but that should be the highest Umbra can reach inside the basic dimension!'
It was good to know how much funds Umbra's first quality upgrade required, but this didn't mean that Shane would be impatient.
He had to take one step after another.
As such, he calmed himself down while caressing Umbra who was already expressing his discomfort through loud hisses when he heard Shane mumbling something about his quality.
Not long after that, Umbra's pace slowed down. Only then did Shane realize that they were already in front of the Dimension Portal.

"Umbra, let's first test how you feel inside the Hidden Paradise, alright? It might be a little bit barren and narrow for now...but that will change in the future...But we have to work hard, otherwise, we'll never achieve that!"
Smiling brightly at Umbra, he followed the instructions Aunt Kia gave him as he used his mana to envelop the minimized, grain-sized Hidden Paradise with his mana.
Visualizing the world to open by a small margin, Shane perceived a tiny gap within the grain-sized world in which he inserted his mana as he created a tunnel of mana that flowed towards the center of his chest.
The gap closed when he stopped visualizing and then he focused on his next task.
The thread of mana pierced through his chest and began to turn into a link between his world and the outside world. Through this, Umbra was able to see a small barren world within Shane's chest.
He was nervous but waited patiently for Shane to tell him that everything was done.
Several minutes passed before the link between his world, the Hidden-Paradise and his chest was established.
It felt weird for a moment but after he tried to open his world to the outside, Shane could tell that he had created a small connection between his world and the outside.
The space in front of him was twisted and it looked like a small Dimension Portal.
When Shane asked Umbra to test entering his world by slithering through the minimized Portal, both he and Umbra couldn't help but be nervous.
Once Umbra passed through the minimized portal, Shane closed the connection to the outside world as he began to transmit several thoughts to his tamed beast.

Several hours passed as they experimented with lots of things.
The most important for now was that Umbra could quickly enter and leave the Hidden Paradise.
If required, Umbra should even be able to do so without demanding Shane to do anything.
It was obvious that the barren World was neither beautiful nor large in size yet but Umbra found that it was perfect.
This made Shane happy and after they finished experimenting, he could also tell that it was easy for Umbra to enter and leave his world.
After Shane granted Umbra every necessary permission he could think of, he was able to enter and leave the world at any time within a single moment.
If executed properly this would allow them to throw a surprise attack at opponents and overwhelm them.
Shane's combat prowess was only at the lower Expert stage right now but by using Umbra's sudden appearance to throw his opponents off guard, they might be able to face several strong foes at once!
It was extremely beneficial that he wouldn't have to back off against Awakened beasts again.
This allowed Shane to think about what he could do with Umbra's help which he was unable to accomplish before.
There were several things he could think of right off the bat.
However, there was one thing Shane wanted to give Umbra!
As such he asked gently,
"Do you want to take revenge?"
